The tickets I purchased were not as SeatGeek advertised

I am submitting this complaint regarding SeatGeek's failure to honor my purchase of seven tickets for Reggae on the Rocks featuring Rebelution at Red Rocks Amphitheatre on August 22, 2026.
On June 5, 2026, I purchased seven tickets through SeatGeek for $99.44 per ticket. I completed the purchase in good faith and relied on SeatGeek's confirmation that I had successfully purchased tickets for the advertised event.
After my purchase, SeatGeek informed me that, due to a system error, the tickets I had purchased were actually for a completely different Rebelution concert at a different venue on a different date. SeatGeek acknowledged that my order for the Red Rocks event could not be fulfilled because of its own error.
SeatGeek offered only two options: a full refund if I returned the tickets or a 50% refund if I kept the incorrect tickets for the other concert. I immediately explained that the seller had never transferred any tickets to me, making it impossible to return tickets that I never received. More importantly, the alternative offered by SeatGeek—a discount on tickets for an entirely different event that I never purchased and had no intention of attending—did not address the problem or provide a meaningful remedy.
I requested that SeatGeek honor the original purchase by providing seven comparable tickets for the August 22, 2026, Reggae on the Rocks concert at the agreed purchase price of $99.44 per ticket. By the time SeatGeek acknowledged its error, comparable tickets for the correct event had increased to a minimum of $136 per ticket, when purchasing 7 tickets together. As a result, simply refunding my purchase would leave me responsible for at least $255.92 in additional costs if I wanted to attend the event I had originally contracted to attend.
Despite my request, SeatGeek refused to offer any resolution beyond the two original options: a full refund or a 50% discount on tickets for the unrelated concert. It declined to provide comparable replacement tickets, reimburse the increased cost of obtaining replacement tickets, or offer any other accommodation that would place me in the position I would have been in had it fulfilled the purchase agreement correctly.
The error in this transaction was entirely SeatGeek's. I relied on the accuracy of its listing and confirmation when I made my purchase. I fulfilled my obligations under the agreement, yet SeatGeek failed to deliver the product I purchased. Its proposed resolutions did not compensate me for the loss caused by its admitted system error.
Consumers should be able to rely on the accuracy of listings and confirmations provided by online ticket marketplaces. When a company acknowledges that its own mistake prevented it from fulfilling a confirmed order, limiting the customer to a refund or a discount on an unrelated event is not an adequate remedy. A refund merely returns the money paid; it does not restore the customer to the position they reasonably expected to be in when the purchase was made.
I respectfully requested that SeatGeek provide an appropriate resolution by either supplying seven comparable tickets to the August 22, 2026, Reggae on the Rocks concert at my original purchase price of $99.44 per ticket or reimbursing me for the additional cost required to obtain comparable replacement tickets. I believed that this request was fair because it sought only to place me in the position I would have been in had SeatGeek honored the purchase agreement that I entered into on June 5, 2026. With only these two options available, I chose to get a full refund. I will be purchasing these tickets through another vendor.

Shambolic

Bought tickets for a world cup game in new york .seatgeek said they would be ready a couple of days before the event .
I had travelled from uk with my son for this particular event, a day before the game I got an email saying I had to download the fifa app to find my tickets .I followed all the instructions
No tickets .I emailed clown after clown but never got my tickets. I would strongly advise not to use this site.
Just to add it took me 5 weeks to recover my money .

SCAM!

I traveled to Las Vegas specifically to attend the Backstreet boys concert and purchased 4 tickets through SeatGeek in good faith. Approximately one hour before the show, I received an email stating that my original tickets had been canceled and that replacement tickets would be provided.

Unfortunately, the replacement tickets never arrived. As a result, I was completely unable to attend the concert despite traveling to Las Vegas for the event.

This experience was incredibly disappointing and stressful. I relied on SeatGeek’s Buyer Guarantee, yet I was left without any tickets when the event began.
