night mare in PUGLIA ITALY
my wife and myself booked a weeks holiday in puglia southern italy for 7 nights at the end of september 2025 travelling from Brindsi airport to naples inc car hire.Before we even left the uk 2 of the 3 hotels were changed for inferior ones.the first one had noresturant or bar for 2 of the 3 nights, the second hotel was on an industrial estate 6 miles from the nearest civilisation eg shops bars restaurants we were given a food voucher for a resturant 6 miles away.next hotel was a rundown out of date hotel our room was in the roof with no windows only a small skylight it was situated in a run down area of naples and was used by the airlines as a hostel for passengers on cancelled flights.the car hire was poor the car had broken wing mirrored not very clean inside.on returning the car they said there was small scratches on the wing.this I accepted as we were fully insured when we booked the package through SECRET ESCAPES, the hire company charged us for the damage 300 pounds We tried to make claim through Secret escapes but were just given the run around for several weeks. Our advice is keep well away from this company
