My wife and I booked a one day photography tour of the Snaefellsnes Peninsula with Luke in late February.
The weather wasn't the friendliest and we wanted the security of a guide who not only knew the area well but was equipped for the conditions.
From the outset Luke was responsive to our communications leading up to our booking and was able to give us several options to suit our holiday itinerary and requirements.
Luke was also very accommodating and changed the date of our tour at the last minute to suit the weather conditions.
The day was very well structured and we visited all the locations we wanted plus other lesser known spots, arriving at times best suited to the lighting conditions . Luke is very knowledgeable and this made the day even more enjoyable and he also gave us great advice and recommendations for the rest of our time in Iceland.
We would definitely book with Luke again and highly recommend his services.

Had an epic experience with Secret Spots Iceland. Luke, the owner and a fantastic photographer, was the complete consummate and professional guide along with Olga, his other guide who was so accommodating and provided a myriad of information and history. He was quick to respond to any questions or inquiries, asking me what we wanted to see and do and from there he created the perfect 3 day itinerary. We saw some of the more popular sights but the best ones I thought were off the beaten path. Truly enjoyed Iceland which was only enhanced more by Luke and Olga. Would most definitely recommend Secret Spots Iceland especially if you have a short time but want to see more than the usual sights. Thank you Luke for such a memorable trip.

Tour of a Lifetime!
We took a multi-day tour with Luke last month and he delivered an experience beyond our wildest expectations! The mix of main attractions and remote secret locations was perfect! The wedding quality photos provided after the trip have allowed us to share our adventures with our friends and family.
Luke’s local knowledge allowed us to visit 2x the number of locations other tours were offering and the restaurants we stopped at were amazing; we never would have found them on our own.

WOW!! We had an amazing adventure of a lifetime with Luke! This was our first time in Iceland and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Three days with Luke was absolutely magical. We explored waterfalls, glaciers, and beautiful lava formations. From the moment he picked us up at the hotel, he was relaxed, easy to talk to, and felt like family. Luke went above and beyond each day to make sure we had the best experience and he made it look effortless. Not only did he take us to the must see sights, but he also showed us areas that we would have never done on our own; like crossing a river in his Land Cruiser! Most of the time we were the only ones there to enjoy the peaceful beauty of Iceland. I LOVE GEOLOGY and he was very accommodating of all my wishes and did not disappoint. Luke also knew the best places for photos with the right angles and were fortunate to be sent home with treasured memories for a lifetime. Our family embarked on an unforgettable 8-day adventure through Iceland’s breathtaking landscapes. Our afternoon with Luke was a family trip, with a surprise proposal at the end. Luke was incredible to work with. We communicated early before the trip on setting up the proposal. He was knowledgeable about the area and really wanted to show us a great time. Our trip to Iceland would not have been the same, we got to see so much in such a short amount of time. Luke’s photography skills are also wonderful. We got got so many great photos. The composition and editing were great. I can’t say enough great things about our excursion with Luke. Definitely a must-see, we can’t wait to come back to spend time with Luke. He’s such a friendly guy and I wish we had had more time together.

Luke and his team provided our family with the trip of a lifetime. Even in July, a peak tourists month in Iceland our guide showed us less traveled and absolutely amazing spots that other tour groups simply would t know about. The tour was curated to meet the interests of the adults as well as our two children (ages 10 and 13) Our guide became like family, and made each day an absolute adventure. As photographers (hobbyist) we also found many spots to get the perfect shots. We have preserved our Iceland trip with timeless photos. Luke and the team were simply amazing. From accommodating any last minute requests (as it was all impromptu) to absolutely heartwarming experiences and hidden gems and grounding moments. My son and I loved it tremendously and will always keep beautiful memories from the trip!

My husband and I eloped in Iceland, and had the most magical photoshoot with Petra to commemorate the occasion. She was so friendly and helpful with directing us on different poses. The locations she picked out were absolutely breathtaking and really just made everything perfect. I'm so happy with the entire experience, and definitely recommend booking with Petra!

We had a great experience with Luke! Our group had varying ages and a range of interests/activity levels and he did a great job planning our days out - he even managed to dial up a few days of sun! ;) He was organized, responsive, and thoughtfully bought us some local treats to try - Prince Polo! We made an album of our trip and loved that he took some great photos to include. Super time had by all!

Our family of 6 just returned from Iceland and while there enjoyed a 4 day tour with Luke. He was very accommodating, a good driver, and knowledgeable. He actually did take us to a couple of secret spots. Everyone in our group had a great time and I would recommend to everyone. A special bonus was that we were presented with photos after we returned home, Luke is a photographer and guide.

We had a FANTASTIC 12 days with Luke. We explored the entire island seeing secret and iconic locations. We got to experience unbelievable scenery, meet the people and their culture and their foods. And unforgettable experience

When I wanted to propose to my girlfriend in Iceland, Luke crafted an amazing experience taking us to some breathtaking spots and planning the whole day incredibly. He was flexible depending on the weather, especially when it was pouring with rain and snow when I was just about to propose! We persisted and Luke put time, care and attention to make sure it was a perfect moment for us. The day was the right balance of secret spots and the well known areas in Iceland.

Luke was very chill, knowledgeable and it was a pleasure to be able to share our special day with him. He really made it a trip of a lifetime. Luke also captured our day through great photos and videos for which we will always be grateful for. We even managed to go on second day tour to the south coast later in the week and Luke treated us to local Icelandic snacks and ice cream!

This was the trip of a lifetime for a milestone birthday, though we weren’t sure where to start or what to see. The tourist guide websites felt overwhelming in terms of choice of things to do and it was difficult to know what to book.

Thankfully, we found Luke at @secretspotsoficeland. Not only did he provide counsel ahead of our trip of where to stay and eat in Reykjavik, he also helped curate a tailored itinerary for us and our two nearly adult children on the South Coast of Iceland. There was something for everyone - physical challenges for our teens, majestic beauty and nature for us and great culinary recommendations along the way.

Not only was the trip well planned, Luke’s love of both Iceland and the spectacular beauty around us was palpable. He has shared the most precious photos of our family with us as a result and we are so grateful for these memories being captured on film.

Luke helped us plan our trip beforehand and then was a perfect guide - always punctual, polite, accommodating, informed and informative. We had three days travelling to Snaefelsness and the South Coast and he made it fun and effortless.

Luke did an excellent job getting us to the best spots to see many of the most beautiful sights imaginable. He helped us with our selection of accommodations before we arrived, was always punctual and spent the days with us informing us while we explored Iceland's beauty. I embarked on a private tour with Luke of "Secretspotsiceland". As an avid chess player I asked to find Bobby Fischer's grave site and museum. We found both in and outside of Selfoss. I also wanted to try my drone out. Luke then planned visits to Sigöldugljúfur, Sigöldufoss, Háifoss and the The Commonwealth farm. These were magical places, very little traffic and some only accessible using his Heavy Duty Nissan 4x4 on F-roads. Talk about adventure! Luke expertise in drones showed me some cool tactical moves sweeping in and out of Sigöldugljúfur canyon like a tie fighter crossing by the Lekafossar series of waterfalls. Again some more drone-time at Háifoss. A brief stop for lunch at a great little road-side diner we headed up to the outskirts of the Highlands, but not before stopping in at the "Valley of Tears", Sigöldufoss. The Highlands were mystical to say the least and the trip was fulfilling. The weather was moody as well with fog and mist, but wait 15 minutes or so, the sun burst out long enough to illuminate the falls for some sweet shots. Luke was a personable, knowledgeable and great guide who was more than eager to help make the trip memorable. Thanks Luke!

Luke’s highlands tour was incredible!! I booked last minute, and he was incredibly accommodating and professional. We saw some amazing and hidden spots in the highlands. Luke took some incredible picture and drone footage that he sent to me immediately. I would highly recommend booking a tour!
