This company has stopped communicating with us completely. We have reached out via email numerous times and have received no response. It appears that they have stolen the external hardware that we sent in. We accidentally sent our family members instead of the one we meant to send in because they look alike and were by each other and we just grabbed the wrong one. We informed them of this and they wanted us to send in the other one but they haven't even communicated or given us any information about the first one we sent in. So we decided to not send in the other one because they won't send the first one back or communicate with us about it. I just can't believe they would be willing to loose a customer who was willing to pay the amount to help us after we sent in the other one and
received the first one back. Just be aware you will be paying in the high ranges. Our quote was about $2000. So I wouldn't recommend letting the lower prices be an option to be honest. But we were willing to move forward but now we are not after this treatment.

We are going to look into how we can report this. I went ahead and had to file something with the BBB to help find a solution. I am sharing to anyone else to not use their services after this experience so your items, etc are not returned back to you. They stop communicating with you and reading other reviews it appears this is common occurrence. And reading other reviews on Google and on here loosing your data etc seems to be common hiccup that occurs. So make sure you read those because I also got caught up on the good reviews.

On their disclaimer it says if you don't contact them they can dispose of the media and if you refuse their services it's looking like they make you pay shipping costs to get your item back. This was not very advertised on their site or anything and the young man at the front store we dropped the drive at said they would ship it back to us for free. I thought with the good reviews not even just in Google but Trustpilot we had found a trustworthy company. I was so excited but now I am very upset.

Update I finally got someone on the phone who helped me out. I still had to pay 37.95 to get our family members external hard drive sent back to us. Which this isn't fully advertised. But the gentleman on the phone was polite. I'm not going to pull my complaint from the BBB unless I get the hard drive back as I've noticed in some reviews others have not received their items. I'm so glad we didn't send in the correct hard drive after this occurrence because it shows what we would have gone through.

Mark was very patient and understanding when I spoke to him about my situation, and managed to beat a competitors quote. I now have all of my data back.

Short story for now as my blood is boiling.
I worked with Jacob Medina. Process from 12/7 to today 4/12. We knew my hard drive had physical damage but I was told if the files i needed were not recoverable that I would not be billed.
The sent me a list of recovered files; it was a bunch of junk and nothing from my list of important files.
And today, they billed me $1500.
I hashed over the contract with them to be sure I was understanding it and that it matched what I was told. Jacob was incredibly slow to reply and then repeatedly flat out lied. This is the worst!!!

Attentive service with an easy to reach sales team. The whole process was very painless, data recovery was efficient and successful and all my data was recovered no problem at all. I would definitely recommend the service to those needing their data recovered, you will be looked after!

Top rate service from start to finish. One of the few firms I emailed who dained to reply to me as an individual rather than a company. The whole process was explained to me in detail along with cost. The external drive was picked up by UPS and a new one returned the same way. Prices are outrageous compared to other services. Don't waste your time.

I had an external storage system with two hard drives mirroring my photos going back about 30 years. My computer would no longer recognize the external storage and it turns out that both of the hard drives had physical damage. I thought my entire photo library was lost. I turned to Secure Data Recovery and they were able to recover all of my data. I couldn’t have been more relieved. I could not imagine losing all that family history and travel history, but I was on the brink of having to accept that outcome until Secure Data Recovery recovered everything. Sandisk refers to Secure Data Services for recoveries from the defective Sandisk Extreme Pro 4 TB SSDs. I tried Disk Drill first and it only returned corrupted files. Secure Data Services was able to quickly recover everything without corruption, and sent me screenshots to verify. The Secure Data Services team members were kind, responsive and professional, which was also great. Much gratitude to them.
