Do not bother. You won't get your money if you try and claim.

It was pointless insuring my tickets with Secure Refunds. I was out of the country and unable to return home because of severe weather where I was staying. All flights home were cancelled.
I tried to claim on my return, and was told that their policy only covers severe weather in the country where the event occurs. I asked several times for a copy of their policy to check this and all they sent me was a link to a FAQ. The FAQ does not mention this restriction at all. Their policy remains a secret.
I will never waste my money insuring tickets with Secure Refunds again.

This company is a joke!

This company is a joke!! Stay away from them if all possible. They need documented proof of why you didn't attend. If you don't have it your screw. I wouldn't even give it a 1 star rating. A minus zero is a better choice. It is sad that Smart Financial Company uses this
company.

RIP off don’t waste your money

I bought insurance incase we couldn’t get to our venue due to weather or illness. My friend is really poorly with the flu so she is unable to attend. They are refusing to pay unless we have a doctors note ! So bad for £38 you treat people like this! I won’t ever buy insurance again. And I pray you don’t either! Shocking company

Not impressed.

These people tried every possible way to make it difficult to claim . If I hadn’t been persistent, and didn’t know my way around the world of Insurance claims, I would’ve given up right at the very beginning as they were asking for proof of having told the venue I was unable to use my ticket as I was ill, this despite there being nothing in the terms and conditions noting this as a requirement. The claim form also asks for proof of having attended a doctor, again that there is no requirement for this. They then decided to challenge the Google review I left with similar feedback. Interestingly, the Google reviews are all relatively positive. How strange.

Don’t waste money on this company

When I booked my theatre tickets I was offered the option to pay for, as quoted “ recover the full cost of your ticket (Hurray!) through our Secure My Booking scheme”. Great I thought and paid the fee for each ticket. Unfortunately we could not attend the show. Contacted Secure My Booking, explained the circumstances and was told they would not be paying our refund. Don’t waste money on them. Totally pointless. They have so many clauses for when they won’t pay.

Scam damage collision waiver policy

I was sold their damage collision waiver policy along with my car hire by Auto Europe and they are refusing to refund me damage caused to my hire car by a 3rd party. They are saying that the invoice provided by the hire car firm doesn't list all of the damage when it clearly states damage to the front bumper. As a result I'm over £2,000 out of pocket and have sent dozens of email but neither Auto Europe or Securerefunds want to help and are now ignoring all my emails. Total scam company and I'll be making it my lifes mission to discuss my experiences on every single social media and review site on planet earth.

Total disaster trying to get a refund

A family member purchased tickets thinking it was for Liverpool Empire as that was the site they were on, however when confirmation email came through realised it was for London. My son cannot travel to London due to autism and payment protect was purchased which states refund medical grounds. All medical evidence has been submitted and im getting passed from pillar to post, why is it so difficult to refund for tickets that is for a theatre show in 2026. It is not like you wont be able to sell them again. Total rip off and bad experience for first time theatre ticket purchasers.

Rubbish company and service …

I paid for their insurance when buying tickets online for the theatre. I accidentally purchased 3 tickets when I only wanted two . It was a genuine mistake but as it over 3 weeks away before we need the tickets wrote to get a refund for the one ticket. They have refused saying they don’t cover mistakes. I think this is unfair and would recommend against using them . I am so disappointed ☹️

Check terms an conditions when taking out insurance

I have changed my original review from 1 star to 3 as, since I posted the review, I have received a full refund and fair's fair. I have only made it 3 stars since it has taken 5 months to settle the insurance claim which has cause undue stress.

Should have read the reviews! ZERO stars

Bought tickets for several events earlier in the year, but due to my husband being hospitalised with sepsis and a severe kidney infection we haven't been able to go to them.

Fortunately for me I purchased ticket insurance through all of the ticket providers.
I had speedy refunds from Ticketmaster tickets for 2 events via Allianz and Skiddle via Ticketplan, no quibble, no questioning, money back within a week every time.

This company however have received all of the same information as the other's including hospital admission and discharge paperwork but they now want us to go to the Dr's and pay for a sick note or signature to prove that he's been ill which will probably cost more than we can claim back.

Absolute waste of time and money - DO NOT USE

I think it's a shame for the theatres they work with because it's them who will end up with the bad reputation for mis-selling and yet it's not their fault.

Absolute disgraceful company to deal…

Absolute disgraceful company to deal with . My husband has been very poorly and we were unable to use our tickets to see Bodyguard at the Alex in Birmingham . I have advised them he is in pain and cannot sit through the performance , I’ve sent them a copy of his pre-op letter , this was not evidence. I have only today received his date for operation , this is still not enough information !! Do you not think we are under enough stress at this time , without having to prove to this company how ill my husband is ! What is the point of paying for refund cover -don’t bother , I’m furious 😡

Shockingly horrible experience…

Shockingly horrible experience attempting to get a claim refund for something as simple and straightforward as a cracked windshield. I had the highest level of cover. AutoEurope should take note and be ashamed of their partnership with these guys. These are anonymous tricksters hiding from regulatory bodies in Gibraltar. Try and find a contact, a number or name, or anything substantial about this company of fraudsters: It is impossible. They do not deserve one star.

Absolute sharks and fraudsters. DO NOT USE

If i could rate this company a zero I would. They are fraudsters. I provided proof of my long term disability (the reason I get ticket protection). They want me to pay my doctor £40 to fill in a form for a refund of a £39.50 ticket. If these guys can find a way to not refund then they will. I'm really disgusted that any company would take advantage of disabled people but these people are the lowest of the low. I will never take out ticket protection again and will advise other people of the same as it's just not worth it. I'd rather give my ticket away than deal with this.

Do NOT purchase

Purchased ticket insurance for a play in London and unfortunately on the way over another passenger had a heart attack and we were delayed a day and couldn't attend the show. I submitted a refund request and was promptly rejected and told this was not covered although it clearly is listed in their policy. Ended up disputing the charge through my credit card and got the $750 back.

Refunded Quickly

I purchased ticket protection for 3 tickets and unfortunately was unable to attend the event due to a medical issue with one of the attendees. After looking here on Trustpilot, I wasn't hopeful due to peoples remarks but all it took was 2 emails and I had all 3 tickets refunded within 24 hours or raising the request. Very simple and straightforward so I thought I'd note on here as its not all a poor process!
