I had issues with a couple different…

I had issues with a couple different products. For each one they really seemed like they cared about the cause of the failure. They were fair and sent out a replacement unit both times. It's annoying to have failures and deal with the return, but if these guys make their products better because of it I'll buy the new one.

Good product and good support

I bought the ReSpeaker XMOS XVF3800 microphone array from Seeed Studio for my own project.

The device works well. I had a few questions about firmware and USB audio channels, because I didn’t understand everything at first.

Their support team answered my questions and helped me figure it out.

Overall, I’m happy with my purchase. Good product and good support.

Broken promises: Order delayed, halting our project and causing financial loss

We placed order 7000025031 on 29-06-2026 for an item that was explicitly listed as "in stock" with a promised shipping time within 2 working days.

Today is 06-07-2026, and the order status is still stuck on "processing". We have received zero updates, no tracking information, and no communication regarding the delay. Because of this, our company's project has come to a complete standstill, which is actively costing us money.

We chose Seeed Studio relying on the advertised lead times, but this lack of reliability and communication is highly disruptive for B2B customers. We need an immediate update and shipment.

Bad service, even though products are good

My first order using paypal was a pleasant experience, so I placed a larger one and used bank transfer. The vendor did not yet find/associte my correctly placed bank transfer to their account, even after 20 days, and has now canceled the order (due to missing payment). Replies to requests to resolve this matter are sluggish and take multiple days and feel like they are aimed to hold me off and stall for time. This feels consistent with the other reviews I read here only after having placed the order. I will update this review as the matter progresses.

China Shipping is Black Hole -- Good Luck getting your order

In the US shipping from the China warehouse (where they ship many items) almost never works. For my recent order they made me order one part from China and one from the US (same account--two orders). The US warehouse item arrived as expected. The China item took forever and then said it was being returned for "Wrong Address." I have lived at this street address for over 40 years. This has happened before and after a while I tend to forget that their China shipping is completely dysfunctional and order something. DO NOT ORDER FROM THESE CLOWNS!

My first query via chat was ignored. I followed the directions in the reply below. After a few days I got a question back from "support" which I answered immediately. After 1-1/2 weeks of silence its pretty clear the vendor doesn't really care. They've got my money. Bye bye. So like I said...order at your own risk.

Support replied to two different follow-up emails that a "refund would be processed in a few days." Never got that refund. Near as I can tell the support folks only send you messages when they see a negative post and just tell you what they think you want to hear regardless of the truth.

Too expensive to order from SeeedStudio official site!

Used to be a fan of SeeedStudio historically, but new year ordering from SeedStudio really disappointed me. Not only has it cancelled the free shipping for big orders, but didn't provide options like everyone else, just left us with only one choice, and one of the most expensive ones: DHL. It also doesn't provide help on cost savings like other similar Chinese electronics companies would do. At the end my personal order of $750, cost me extra almost $300 for shipping, import tax, custom clearance etc, including £28 pounds just for DHL to split my ordered items into Customs category codes. Not recommended!

Defective $1000+ product out of the box. Zero QC and missing support.

[ONGOING SITUATION - I WILL UPDATE THIS REVIEW AS THE CASE PROGRESSES]

[UPDATE: MAY 18 - DOWNGRADED TO 1 STAR]
I am downgrading my review to 1 star due to the absolutely surreal and embarrassing logistical management of my RMA.

After returning the DOA device, I was promised last Friday that the inspection was completed and a brand-new replacement unit would ship "within 1-2 days." Instead, today I received an absurd email claiming the shipment will take "a bit longer" because there is "currently no stock available" and they need to transfer inventory.

However, this statement contradicts their own website. I immediately checked their official store, and the exact same model is currently listed as "In Stock" and ready to ship across multiple warehouses, including their European hub in Germany (screenshot saved as proof).

It is disgraceful that a company stalls a "highest priority" RMA for a professional +$1000 tool with stock excuses, clearly prioritizing new sales over replacing a factory-defective unit.

I have now issued an ultimatum: either ship the replacement immediately from the EU warehouse or issue a full refund so I can buy from a reliable supplier. Do not buy premium hardware from Seeed Studio if you rely on it for professional projects: their Quality Control is lacking, and their warranty logistics will leave you completely stranded.

I spent over $1,000 on a reComputer J4012 that arrived dead on arrival (DOA) due to a failed LAN7430 chip. While the individual tech support agent via email has been incredibly helpful and responsive (5 stars to her), Seeed Studio's corporate RMA policies are terrible. Instead of immediately dispatching a replacement from their EU hub, they force customers into weeks of waiting, halting professional projects.

Very poor

Very poor, unclear and outdated documentation. New, out of the box devices that don't work. I don't recommend this for professional use, only for education and demonstration. Attention to detail and a more advanced documentation system are needed to transform the portfolio to higher and more reliable pro levels.

Two successful orders

Two successful orders. Both orders exceeded expectations. The Solar Cap and the T-1000 are opposites but totally amazing. Order processing much faster than the competition. Items were packaged beautifully (like taking a new iPhone out of the box). Will order from again!

2. Even you declare possibility to order LTE for EMEA with the computer from Germany, you donot supply it from your EU warehouse (must buy in china)
3. reComputer R2130 could not be bought from german warehouse
