I would not buy Victoria Toffee Tin. Not because it didn't taste good, because it was too thick to break. The included hammer was cute, but useless and added unnecessary weight to packaging. I spent a... See more

Sees Now Gouging Us!
I regularly send Sees candy to my 88-year-old aunt back in Ohio from California. It became her favorite treats (not Sees in Ohio) when she'd visit me over the many years I've lived in California. I send her a pound at least once a month. This month I was charged over $24.00 for shipping because I used my Costco gift card. It is usually not more than $18.00 for shipping. I think Mother's Day is now Sees reason to gouge its customers. My final 1lb box of candy was $58.00. I will need to cut back on my aunt's Sees orders. Sees needs to consider that times are too hard for its customers to be gouged for their sweet luxury. Come on, give us a break!
PS. Thank you for your response, Sees. Unfortunately, my 88-year-old aunt's preference for your candy is solely the chocolate chocolate butter variety, so well need to limit our summer orders due to your extremely high shipping costs. Additionally, from the many negative reviews Sees seems to be receiving, it might be time for management to reevaluate Sees' product quality and for sure its customer service. My family and I have been Sees customers for over 40 years and have noticed the rising prices of your candies and serious reductions in customer service and a website that becomes less user friendly each year. Sees' longevity may not be enough to keep it afloat, especially in these difficult economic times. Poor quality and poor customer service is resulting in closures of many once popular business establishments.

I spent over an hour trying to order…
I spent over an hour trying to order $100 worth of Chocolate sent as a gift with no luck. It simply wouldn't work. The 800 number was not being answered except during business hours. Tried to call them the next day, but there is NO customer service all weekend long. You hear a cheerful voice asking you to call again.

For some reason my order was canceled
For some reason my order was canceled. They did not inform me that it was canceled and we ended up having nothing from the Easter Bunny. I will not be ordering from again.

Your customer service is non-existent
Your customer service is non-existent. You don't care for the customers who pay for products to arrive the way that it should.
I only received half the order I placed. And the order that I did received had hair all over the box. DISGUSTING!
Upon reaching out to customer support, no apology extended. Told me to take a picture next time. NEXT TIME???? This happens often enough where there ought to be a next time that I'd receive my product with hair all over the box? Ridiculous.
I emailed and got no response. Your company is going down unless you do something about the customers that pay money to buy your products.

Delivery is fast and Perfect
See's Candies has been around forever. They have the best chocolates and they have a great selection. There is nothing not to like, unless you don't like chocolate.
The website is so easy to use and free shipping with a certain dollar purchase. They have wrapped boxes for all holidays and special candy for all holidays. They have something that will fit into your budget.
They are always well stocked. They have different selections in boxes. For example, I just bought my husband a box of nuts and chews. That is his favorite. My daughter loves the Trinidads. My grandson will eat anything and is happy with everything.
See's is some of the best chocolate you will find in the US. Just go on line and put See's into Google. It also makes a great gift.

Blocked by See's after complaining about (lack of) service
I ordered a box of See's Chocolate on Jan 7, 2025 to be delivered to my mother for her birthday on the 13th. The order showed that it would be delivered on the 10th which is 3 days early. I received a confirmation email of this order which now had the delivery date between the 10th to the 16th.
On the 8th, I received an email confirmation that the order had been shipped. It has only taken 2 to 3 days in the past for the order to arrive once I received a shipment confirmation.
On the 14th of Jan, I received an email confirmation again that the order was arriving. It was a day late, and although I was perturbed, I decided to deal with it.
I then received notification later that there was an issue with the delivery and it was not delivered, even though my mother and my brother's were at the house ALL day.
I tried multiple times to contact See's as I found this to be quite questionable. I never received a response back.
My order arrived the next day. The chocolates were a bit hard by now. I received an email from See's asking me to review my order. I gave them one star and explained my frustration, particularly with the complete lack of response regarding my issues.
Then I was immediately blocked from their website with absolutely no outreach whatsoever. As a long-time customer of See's Candies since 1991, I will no longer purchase their products and will avoid establishments branded with their logos.

The candies were not fresh in the first…
The candies were not fresh in the first box I ordered. The caramels were hard as rocks. So, they sent another box which was the wrong assortment. Other than that, the quality is no longer there. These candies are not fresh. A candy bar would taste better. I will not longer order from them.
The caramels were hard and not soft. Difficult to bite into and chew all in the caramels were the same.

Not a stellar experience
As I read earlier reviews with low stars, I see our recent experience: candy arriving in bad shape, and then the nightmare of trying to get a refund. My husband sent emails to their customer service starting 12/22/24, waited on a phone call for 27 minutes while they said there was something wrong with their system, and then sent yet another email that wasn't answered. I messaged them on Facebook where they finally said they'd act on it. Fifteen days ago (12/30/24) they emailed my husband that a refund had been processed. We still haven't received it.
Update 1/15/25: reimbursement issued with an apology and coupon, coinciding with complaint yesterday to Better Business Bureau. Appreciated, so have changed number of stars.

Called in to place an order for Valentines spoke to a “Reggie” who was very rude and intimidating. Never ended up ordering, i was notified I would get to take a survey after the call but Reggie hung up on me. Imagine how many people he’s doing this to by scaring them off. Unprofessional for Sees.

See’s candy treats their employees…
See’s candy treats their employees disgracefully. Especially with the pop-up shops they don’t provide adequate support, pay, and they simply do not care. It’s a disgrace. The candy is not as fresh as you think either.
Received Bad Box
I live in Southern California and received the silver assorted chocolate box as a Christmas gift. Tonight I open the box and the chocolate had a grayish white color on 90% of them. Some were spotted. Looks like they were either old and expired or previously frozen. I tasted one and it was dry. It didn't taste right.
The four digit number on the inside of the box is 4975. On the back of the box it reads L.A.D. 247/24 I'm assuming these are from the Los Angeles District? Do you recommend I notify the giftor to let them know the chocolates were inedible? How do they get a refund and/or how do I get a replacement?
Another person gave me an 8 oz gold box of truffles. There was no four digit number on the inside of the box. The bottom of the box read SF 023/25 fortunately this box i assume from San Francisco was good.
I purchased an assorted reindeer box for someone. Now I'm mortified. I will no longer purchase boxes chocolate based on this experience.
I never bothered reading the reviews…
I never bothered reading the reviews for Sees because I had my own opinion. Today I read them to see if anyone had a similar experience to mine. Turns out I am not alone. The assorted chocolates I received this year is not the same assortment I have always received. The first two pieces I ate were shaped like a milk mayfair but had caramel inside. If I wanted a box of caramels, I would have purchased that.
The clerk in the retail store was not friendly and we had to ASK her for a sample.
Sees has always been our "go to" but now, I don't know.

Missing gifts
I placed an order for candy to be to be sent as gifts to 3 separate recipients. None of these people have received their gifts. The order was placed on 12/10/3024. I have not been able to reach customer service by phone, text or email. I will expect a full refund,

New Small Box 11oz but sold for $35!!
See's Candies has reduced the size of their "1 lb box" to just 11 oz in many airports -- BUT they still charge the same price. We just bought a box at the Phoenix Airport for $35. All the boxes were the same size, so we assumed the boxes were their standard 1 lb size, but they created this new small size to rip off customers.

End of an era.
Never in my lifetime did I think I would write a negative review about See’s. In fact negative reviews aren’t my thing but See’s, you broke my heart. When I was a pre-teen I would stop by the See’s counter at Scottsdale Fashion Square every time I went shopping. The lady would offer me a piece from a small batch of some wonderful cream filled chocolate, I would enjoy every piece and then order my go-to. The scotchmallow and it was absolutely heavenly. See’s was always first. Then I window shop while eating that Butterscotch Marshmallow masterpiece. In my early 20’s I moved to central Wyoming … the closest See’s is nearly a 5 hour drive. I’d be lying if I said there weren’t a handful of times I scheduled appointments that lead me to that city, just to take a little walk down memory lane. Still ordering my favorite one. About 5 years ago, my Dad’s Girlfriend sent me a 2lb box of See’s. She knew nothing of my love affair with them and has sent me one each year at Christmas. Once December 1st hits, I begin counting the days … it ALWAYS arrives the week before Christmas, and when I come home from work I recognize the shape of the package and my ritual begins. I open the box and locate the first scotchmallow. There are two in a 2lb box. While audibly enjoying every bite, I find the coconut ones… about 6 of them total and chuck them. NOT a coconut fan. Even though See’s made it. For the rest of the month I enjoy pieces every night. I received my box two days ago. Forced to face nothing lasts forever and this box id call my last because id prefer to recall them fondly. There we no Scotchmallows. Not one. Those candies with the Jimmies sprinkles on them (usually 4-6 per box maybe, comprised at LEAST 60% of the 2lbs. I’m ok with 4-6, but certainly do not want a box of them. The coconut ones also were way beyond the norm. The box was such a huge disappointment. And an expensive purchase for her on a fixed income. Tonight I through out the nearly full box. I will share with her this experience. The change. And I will remember nothing ever stays the same. Thanks for being one of the very very best treats ever, once upon a time. Maybe Ill hint at those holiday steak selections I see advertised for Christmas bundles next year. Such a bummer.
Merry Christmas to all.
