Only Cares About Certain Clients
I hired Adam Atkinson of See You Later Leaner to be a virtual coach in preparing for a bodybuilding contest. He emailed me diet and workout programs every couple of weeks, and I sent him weekly photos and feedback of my contest prep progress. I was 51 years old at this point but this was my sixth competition. So this was not my first rodeo.
It was like pulling teeth to get him to reply to my emails and he was very inconsistent with any real support of me in my endeavour. Plus, the workouts he sent me were extreme to put it lightly. He gave absolutely no thought to my age or individual condition but readily took well over $1300 from me over a period of 6 months. In fact, the only encouraging words I ever got from him was a "very good" just one time in at least 36 different communications of my progress. Otherwise he never encouraged me in any way.
Finally, after almost 7 months of prep and with only 4 weeks to go before the contest, he suggested that I should consider doing a later contest instead. I couldn't believe that he even had the nerve to say this to me right before the contest.
On the morning of my contest, I was to text him for guidance on what to eat, etc. Then when my muscles didn't respond to carbing up he just said nothing more and I was left high and dry. I was devastated.
Because I wasn't necessarily a competitor who would place first, he did not care about me. I'm just sharing my experience for other people's benefit. Physique competitions are hard enough as it is. Everyone needs a coach who knows what he's doing and actually cares about all of his clients, not just the ones who can make him look good by getting first place. Don't waste a penny on SYLL! Go with someone else or do some research and go it alone. You'll be far better off.
