good watches but there are cheaper prices for better products on competitors, they just ship it straight from china, found 2 proper brands for cheaper zythex and calithe.

Purchased a Seiko Solar Watch in December, 2013 and was very happy with it until around February of 2024.when the battery was only holding its charge for a few hours, then: not at all.
Contacted Seiko Australia and was advised that: "starting price for battery replacement and pressure test $118, subject to assessment of your watch. The return postage fee is $12." And that the procedure would take "10-12 weeks"!!!!!
Was told that a quote would take "24-28 business days"!! Decided there was no choice to continue using the watch and sent to Seiko, which they received on April 17. The quotation had now jumped to: $217 plus $12 for postage and handling.
SO - the repair actually took 13 week - plus time in transit, both ways.
BUT - further research shows that, not through Seiko: the cost of a replacement battery can be: "$15-$40 and around $35 to install; an Australian site offers a battery at $15 and $61 to install.
Lesson: do more research before committing?

Purchased a Seiko 5 last May , 2023 via Amazon, less than a year later the dial face moved approx 90 degrees, Not dropped or treated badly , returned to Seiko for repair under warranty and was told that the dial moved because I had damaged it.The cost to repair being approx £180 the watch only cost £250,The staff at Seiko very polite.BE WARNED DON'T BOTHER BUYING A SEIKO , I SUSPECT THE BUILD QUALITY CANT BE THAT GOOD AND THE WARRANTY NOT WORTH THE PAPER ITS PRINTED ON.IF YOU WANT A WATCH THAT LASTS LESS THAN A YEAR BUY A SEIKO.

I purchased a seiko watch abroad which went faulty,i contacted seiko at maidenhead via the gaurantee phone number,my experience with them has been brilliant,Hazel in there customer services took my problem on board and has been brilliant,a credit to herself and a very fine ambassador for your company.
