Nice that they had Military Discount
I was contacted by two different agents and

Sadly, it was not the right warranty for me

I don't usually give poor reviews. (If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all...) Well, when it comes to money, I will occasionally make an exception. This company came with mixed reviews, and one could say I was warned. I don't understand why people would write a review of the company based solely on the sign-up/customer service experience. The real test comes when you file a claim.
After having the warranty for around 6 months, I filed my first and only claim. While I am happy that many had good experiences with their claims processes, I am disappointed with mine. First, they wanted my service record (not a problem), which took a week for them to finally look for it, after me calling and pushing them to check their emails. Then the inspector came and apparently made a decision within a day, but failed to contact the dealership; my dealership had to reach out to them. The claim was denied, and I was told by a customer service rep that it was due to "lack of fluids" and that they "don't cover lack of fluids". Ok. So, with every oil change, the dealership does fluid checks on the other components. Meaning, there was fluid. So, a seal broke between my last oil change and the time for the repairs. There were no obvious signs until about 2 weeks prior to me putting the car into the shop for an inspection. Basically, what I am to understand is that the only way they would have covered my Power Steering pump and gear, is if the parts themselves failed, not because of a seal or loss of fluid. The trouble I have is that with a car that is older, seals are going to wear out and break. I have had a valve cover gasket and the power steering pump replaced before DUE TO SEALS CRACKING AND CAUSING A LEAK, and my MOPAR warranty didn't bat an eyelash when covering that repair. So, I was spoiled having a great warranty. While it says the pars were covered with Select, clearly there was some fine print that must have said that it would only be covered if it is a part issue, not due to other circumstances. That is a problem for me. So, I then was forced to pay for a repair that (in my mind) should have been covered, since it wasn't due to neglect on my part. I filed for my refund and thankfully got my prorated amount back. However, I ultimately lost $900 from the premium for a warranty that most likely would have been worthless to me, if this is the approval process. Be sure to read fine print and ask lots of questions before signing up with any service like this.

Do not waste your money

Select Auto Protect does everything they can do avoid paying for a repair. The first problem I had was a bad control arm bushing. They denied it because they said that it was pre-existing. I gave them the benefit of a doubt and it wasn't a big deal, so I ended up changing the control arms myself. A couple of oil changes later, about 20,000 miles, I had a oil cooler leak. They responded to the auto shop that they would not change it since I didn't get the bushings fixed. The service manager at the shop explained that they had nothing to do with one another, but they chose to deny it anyway. I then spoke with them and told them that I sent the receipts from that purchase when I sent the rest of the maintenance records. They couldn't find it at first, so I sent it a second time. This time they changed their reasoning. They just flat out told me that it wasn't covered. I read the contract and it was not an exclusion and knowing that it is part of the engine cooling system and the cooling system is covered. I have escalated this and waiting for a call back, but being without a car because they are trying to keep from holding their end of the contract up, has made me want to give everyone a warning about this company. Find yourself a better warranty provider.

Zero star and Scam

If I could give this company zero stars, I would! They are a complete scam, and they have screw me over multiple times. Let me explain my experience.

I had two claims that were denied, neither of which was my fault. One claim involved a speaker that went out, and they denied it. When I first purchased the warranty, they promised that all electronic components, both inside and outside of the vehicle, were covered. However, when I submitted my claim for the speaker, they said that speakers are not covered.

The second claim was for my steering system, which the dealership said was going bad or loose. They denied this claim as well, stating that I had aftermarket larger tires. What?! I have a Jeep Wrangler, which is designed to handle larger tires. Plus, I bought the car with those tires already on it, I thought that's what they put on those types of Jeep.

Frustrated, I decided to cancel the warranty and use that money to pay for the repairs, since they denied every claim. I paid $2,900 for five years of coverage or up to 100,000 miles. Great deal, I know, right! As of today, I have had the warranty for just over six months and have driven under 5,000 miles. When I requested to cancel, they calculated my refund and offered me less than $1,500. I was shocked! How is it even possible to lose almost half of what I paid for after such a short period?

I strongly advise against purchasing a warranty from this company. It is a joke, a scam, a waste of money and time, and a whole lot of anxiety. I am extremely disappointed, and I feel like I have been taken advantage of in a big way. Unbelievable!! They just want to take your money.

It was fine

It was fine. I was not told that I had to put 750 miles and that might take me a couple years as I don't drive much any more. Maybe 20 mi a week.

Second Warranty

Previously purchased an Extended Warranty for my vehicle through Select Auto Protect and decided to try them again for a Warranty on my wife’s vehicle. I dealt with Eric Russo and he could not have been more helpful. Answered all of my questions and gave me what I considered to be a fair price for a Warranty for my wife’s vehicle.
As long as there are no issues if I ever have to file a claim on either of my vehicles then I will be very satisfied!
