Unlike UK comparison sites, the companies they fix you up with are terrible. They tell you lies, to get you to agree, and the wash their hands of you, not bothering to help after the inevitable problems you encounter. They don't really help, and it works out dearer. Don't use them.
We phoned Selectra when our previous provider, UK Telecom switched off the service. I needed to be able to log on to work from France. We already knew, at that time, that we would be relocating back to the UK after 3 to 4 months and we mentioned this to the salesperson. They said that would be absolutely fine as it would be covered under 'Force Majeure'. We signed up, which was a little tortuous if you aren't fluent in French. We cancelled the service when we got back to the UK and have had to pay SFR for the full 2 years. We have tried to call Selectra, sent numerous emails, tracked letters but they are ignoring us completely so we have just had to pay SFR almost 2 years worth of money. GO ELSEWHERE!
