Couldn’t be happier!

After spending quite some time scouting different options for a barrel sauna, we kept coming back to the Almost Heaven Audra. We were the happiest with Select Sauna's service and price, so we ended up going with them. We are still in the honeymoon phase with our new Audra sauna, but we couldn't be happier.

Having experienced a wide variety of saunas in Sweden and Finland last fall, we learned we wanted a sauna made from cedarwood and one with a large electric heater. We like the look of the barrel sauna and the porch is a plus. Despite the elitist hate, the barrel undoubtedly provides a nice enough sauna experience. Also, the cedarwood smells incredible. We hooked up the sauna about three weeks ago and have used it nearly every day since, and our kids (ages 7 and 9) are loving it just as much as we are!

The delivery was ahead of schedule, and the sauna itself is flawless – solid construction, intuitive assembly, and so easy to use with the Spirit with WiFi. It’s honestly changed our lives, creating many much more enjoyable evenings. We couldn’t be more pleased with our choice.

Salt Spheres: Avoidance of return and refund customer process

Waiting for almost a week to get a return for a sauna accessory is excessive. It's still not happening. Alex is not responding promptly and should issue the return and refund for a misleading product as soon as possible. Not thrilled with this customer service, but apparently that's par for the course from reading these other reviews.

Editing added notes for Alex: Alex, the return process should not include suspicious language that makes the customer feel like you will see if the vendor "approves" of the reason for the return. The product description and photography is indeed misleading and does not represent the actual TINY product that was received. Waiting for an RMA based on your communications with a 3rd party vendor does not make sense for a sauna accessory item like this. This product needs to be returned with a full refund, end of story. I don't understand how your company is treating customers so badly and acting as if their experience with poor products is their problem, not yours.

We're genuinely confused by your review. You have received responses to your emails. Your most recent message was sent outside our business hours, so it's unreasonable to expect an immediate reply.

Additionally, your return is not being delayed on our end. As we've already explained, we are waiting for an RMA from our supplier, which is standard procedure. We cannot process a return without following the correct steps, and we will update you as soon as we have confirmation. I made this clear in my last email.

Lastly, you claim the product is "misleading," yet this same item has been sold to many customers without issue. We would be happy to investigate if there were a genuine problem, but the limited information you provided, such as using your thumb as a size reference, doesn't give us much to work with.

For the record, we make a point to keep all reviews visible, even when they contain inaccurate information, such as in this case. We believe in transparency, and we trust that future customers will see the full context of this situation.

We are handling your return appropriately and within a reasonable timeframe. The size of the item does not impact the process. We will be in touch with you as soon as we hear back from our supplier, as we mentioned.

We have been upfront and honest throughout this process, and we do not use “suspicious” language. As we’ve clearly stated, returns must go through our supplier. We do not have a warehouse, so we cannot accept a return without going through them. Additionally, your claim that we are being unresponsive is simply dishonest. You have received timely replies, including a response to your live chat inquiry today.

Regarding the product, no other customers have reported issues with its size or description. When we asked for a proper measurement, you provided an unhelpful photo using your thumb as a reference, making it difficult to assess your claim. Despite this, we initiated the return process and are waiting for the supplier’s instructions. You may not like the process, but that does not mean you get to bypass it.

We stand by our fair policies and transparent customer service. If you are serious about resolving this, we suggest waiting for the return instructions, as we have already explained.

Customer service was great

Emailing customer service was great. I had issues with the shipment from third party, but all parts looks good.
As of right now it is still in garage waiting for better weather and son to show up to assemble it.

Top-notch experience from start to finish

Absolutely top-notch. Delivery was perfectly coordinated, assembly instructions were crystal clear. Expectations were set accurately by Alex. Sauna took a few weeks to arrive. The final product is gorgeous. Electrical is fairly simple if you've got some knowledge. If you can do it yourself, you'll save a ton.

Non responsive after purchase, encountered multiply issues



I regret to share my negative experience with Select Saunas company and their Sauna Life model with Huum heater. After purchasing, the company was unresponsive, making it challenging to get assistance when needed.

There were significant delays with the delivery—three weeks in total. The delivery company rescheduled three times and eventually canceled, citing that the package was too heavy for their capacity.

Once we finally received the sauna, my husband and his friend, both very capable individuals, struggled with the assembly for five days. They noted that they had never encountered such unclear instructions. After completing the assembly, we discovered that several electrical parts were missing, making the sauna unsafe to use. While it heats up, it doesn't turn off, which is alarming. A certified electrician spent eight hours trying to resolve the electrical issues and was equally baffled by the instructions.

I reached out to the company via email, phone, and messages six days ago regarding the missing pieces but have not received any response. I now have a $10,000 sauna that I cannot use. The panel is overheating, causing damage to the surrounding wood, and there’s an alert indicating a safety failure due to a missing sensor. To turn off the sauna, I have to use the circuit breaker in the garage.

I strongly advise considering other companies for such a luxury product. Customers deserve much better support and attention.

While we were inundated with calls and messages, we made every effort to respond within a couple of days. We understand your frustration, but it’s not accurate to say we were unresponsive, we’ve consistently strived to assist you as quickly as possible given the circumstances and resources available to us as a small team.

Regarding the delivery delays, we fully acknowledge that this process did not go as smoothly as it should have. The freight company rescheduled multiple times, and while they’ve successfully handled thousands of sauna shipments in the past, their refusal to deliver due to the package's weight was highly unusual. We regret the inconvenience caused by this situation and worked diligently with our supplier to ensure the sauna eventually arrived.

Our supplier informed us that they were in direct communication with you during the delivery issues. If this wasn’t your experience, we sincerely apologize, it was our understanding that they were assisting you.

As for the missing components and electrical issues, we are actively working to resolve these matters for you. We agree that any missing components, such as a sensor, should have prevented setup until resolved for safety reasons. We communicated this to you and are in the process of addressing it.

Regarding your mention of a six-day response time, we would like to clarify the timeline. Your initial messages were sent over the weekend, and the following Monday was a federal holiday. While we missed your follow-up upon returning, it was an oversight amidst high volumes of requests. We sincerely apologize for this but feel that calling it a six-day delay is somewhat misleading.

We understand how disappointing this experience has been, and we are committed to resolving the remaining issues promptly. Customer satisfaction is our top priority, and we will continue working to make things right for you.

I couldn’t be more pleased

From the start, Alex and Christopher were incredibly helpful, providing knowledgeable answer to all my inquiries–­­I had quite a few doubts and questions regarding electricals and installation. The delivery process I was most worried, but alas it went smoothly. The assembly instructions were very easy to follow. The finished product looks absolutely stunning. Highly recommend Almost Heaven and Select Saunas!

What an incredible experience!

After some research, my wife and I decided to invest in a sauna and came across Select Saunas. From the very start, the customer service provided by Alex was exceptional—he made everything easy and was always accommodating. The website was user-friendly for customizing our sauna, and the company kept us informed throughout the process, always maintaining a positive attitude.

One important note: pay attention to the delivery guidelines. The sauna will be dropped off at the roadside, so plan ahead for how to move it to your desired location. In our case, we had to unpack the sauna piece by piece at our driveway, to then carry it into our backyard.

Do Not Purchase from Select Sauna

Do not purchase from Select Sauna!

Purchased a Sauna from Select Sauna and started having issues from the outset.

Shipping was delayed with no updates or communication. When I reached out there was a 3-day delay in their response.

I purchased the Almost Heaven Titan Sauna. Quality of the sauna is not good. The design of the unit allows for gaps where there is heat loss all over the unit. The lighting is only provided on 5-6' section of the backrest. The glass on the front of the sauna doesn't line up or close tightly which leads to additional heat loss. The benches will barely handle 250lbs, so even though it's designed to be a 6 person sauna you won't be able to accommodate more than 3 adults at one time. I'm concerned the benches may end up breaking due to poor design and quality of material.

When I reached out to Select Sauna to discuss my concerns they simply said, "Here's the number for the manufacturer, you will need to contact them for any issues you may have." They do not stand behind the products they sell, and more importantly they don't value their customers, but instead pass the buck to others.

Your sauna was shipped within the standard timeframe, with an ETA provided approximately one week after your order was placed. This is the usual amount of time it takes before we have a solid ETA, and there was no unexplained delay. If you were unhappy with the ETA at this time, you had plenty of time to cancel your order.

The Almost Heaven Titan is a high-quality sauna backed by us, as well as Almost Heaven directly. Minor adjustments during assembly can occasionally be required, so we directed you to Almost Heaven for specialized technical support. This is standard practice, as the manufacturer has the expertise and resources to assist promptly with technical matters beyond our immediate scope as a retailer.

We made every effort to assist you promptly and respectfully, offering to facilitate communication with the manufacturer if you preferred us to handle the process, despite it being a longer resolution path. We stand behind the quality of the products we sell and our commitment to excellent service.

Their honesty and transparency

We ordered a Golden Design Visby hybrid sauna. Spoke with their team before and they made us aware it was out of stock and there was a 5 week lead time. We decided to place the order and Select Sauna kept us updated about once every 10 days with the ETA. Sure enough shipped after about 5 wks. Great service enjoying the sauna daily. Thank you.
