Do not book with Sembo - Terrible customer service, rude and unhelpfull.

I needed to add luggage to my booking, which Norwegian offers up to 4 hours before departure. However, unfortunately Sembos customer service confirms they have taken the decision not to let you book luggage up to 48 hours before departure. When I told their Customer service that Norwegian insisted the travel agency should be able to help with this up to 4 hours before departure, they customer service agent was rude and unhelpful. I will never book trough Sembo again.

Unfortunately airline customer service is not always fully aware of the agreement between airline and travel agency, and then situations like this occur.

We are not able to do certain actions 48hrs before due to airline takes over on tickets.
This is clearly stated in our Terms & Conditions, accepted upon booking.

Our agents have a high level of service, we take pride in helping customers within the airlines rules and agreements.
Unfortunately I cannot locate your booking with ´´T´´ and as no booking number, im not able to look further into your issue.

I tried to book a trip from Copenhagen…

I tried to book a trip from Copenhagen to Philippines and it took me forever. I spent the whole day trying to book, did everything and followed their flight suggestions and worst I couldn't book any trip. Horrible

Bethina was excellent

Bethina was excellent! She informed me of a hotel change due to renovations. I replied asking for a couple of special requests and she came back to me quickly to say she had put the request in and the hotel had replied quickly too saying they would do their best to honour them!😊

Nice and kind service

Nice and kind service, good update from the agent, as we were still waiting for a response for a request to the airline. Johanna gave a nice costumer service not just by phone but by email as well.

SEMBO is the costly cheap option

SEMBO is the costly cheap option, wish I could score with less than one star, NEVER will use it again.

I simply needed to check-in a special size luggage and Sembo didn`t managed to do it. Only for being entitled to a customer service to support with my query, Sembo charged me DKK 300 (EUR 40-ish) under the name "Service Package", I paid that with 4 days in advance to my flight and Sembo couldn`t pre-book my odd size luggage (while the airline said that only Sembo could do it). I was left with the only option of paying the "last-minute" fee in the front desk due to Sembo`s incompetence.

Summary, they stole me DKK 300 for "Service Package", did nothing, and then I was penalized (again) with the premium price on the last-minute check in because of Sembo`s incompetence.

Booking tickets with Sembo is like the worst experience ever!

Booking tickets with Sembo is like paying to burglars. We booked tickets for summer holiday to Greece with short layover. The airplane company has cancelled our flight. We were told that if we want to change our tickets we need to pay 495 DKK per person for the ticket change, if we do not accept then we can cancel also for the cost of 495 DKK per person. We bought two tickets one with infant and we were charged 1.500 dkk for booking via Sembo. Not only Sembo ruined our summer holiday plans, but it has stolen 1.500 dkk from us. Never ever use them!!!!! I wish I could give you -1000 stars!

The Service Package is needed if you want our help with various things, and that service could be added at the time of booking, which you chose not to do. If you want our help at a later time, you can still add the Service Package, but then the service costs more. Sembo charges a fee of 495 kr. per ticket if you did not add our Service Package.

Furthermore, I want to inform you that the first option you received by email is free of charge to change for and I can see that our agent has already advised you so.

Helpful and swift

I accidentally booked plane tickets for the wrong date.
After I payed the service fee, Sembo was very helpful regarding rebooking my tickets for another date.

OK but too much upsale

I did not appreciate Sembo trying to sell me all kind of crap on top of the ticket.
I got the price, and I want to check out.
I don't want to got through a whole list of things that I have to answer "Nej" to.

I just got an answer from Sembo saying that they are doing this for my sake, to give me more choices.
I consider this answer dishonest. Of course, they are doing it for their own sake, and the honest answer should have been, "Dear user, please forgive us, but our prices are so low that we are forced to use these tricks to try and improve our profit margines. You can still choose to say "NO" and save money.

The idea is to offer customers to control the price of their ticket, by offering lowest rate and then you can add any additional yourself, depending on needs.
This way you are not getting hidden included costs, making ticket more expensive.

Great customer service provided by Emmy

So far, I am very happy with the service. Changes were made by the airline, and we were informed in due time and told our options.
Also, just now, still almost a month prior to our trip, we had to make changes to our reservation, and I was pleasantly surprised by how fast customer service responded. Emmy helped us immediately, and in less than an hour, our issue was solved. This is a great relief.
Thank you for great customer service, I am convinced we will have a great trip in November🌟

The booking was easy

The booking was easy. At the end I was offered a 250 kr. discount for a hotel in my travel destination. I haven't started the travel yet, do I hope everything will be smooth.
