I had high hopes for SendPulse

I had high hopes for SendPulse, especially with their generous 7-day free trial. But what looked like a promising service turned into a frustrating experience.

First, they make it unnecessarily difficult to remove your billing information. There’s no clear path in the dashboard, and they don’t explain how to do it, which makes you wonder if it’s a deliberate design choice to trap users into automatic charges once the trial ends.

Second, customer support is completely unresponsive once you become a paying customer. Before signing up, their sales team was lightning-fast in replying — friendly and eager to assist. But once I raised a polite concern after joining, they went silent. No reply to multiple messages. It's disappointing to face radio silence after such good pre-sale treatment. It gives the impression that they only care until you pay.

I also experienced what felt like retaliatory neglect — as soon as I questioned something politely, support simply stopped replying. If you're a paying customer and expect post-sale assistance, you may be in for a rude awakening.

The platform may work for some, but the lack of transparency, hidden processes, and poor customer support are serious red flags. I strongly advise the community to be cautious when tempted by overly generous offers and flashy features.

I truly wanted this to work, and it’s frustrating because it had potential. But customer experience matters — and here, it failed badly. Enough is enough.

SendPulse cut my deliverability in half — then shut me down for asking why.

I tested SendPulse’s SMTP service and immediately saw inbox delivery rates plummet below 30% and delivery rates drop to around 90%. For context: I’ve been sending from the same domain for 10 years, with proper authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC) and consistently ~70-80% inbox rates and 98-100% delivery rates using another service provider. Nothing changed on my end except switching SMTP.

When I contacted SendPulse support about their poor performance, I received nothing but boilerplate replies blaming “sender reputation” and “filters needing time to adapt.” But my domain’s reputation was already long established, and I wasn’t even sending real campaigns — just a few test messages to a mail-tester and mail delivery seevice to evaluate sendpulse delivery.

When I pressed for a real answer and pointed out that all evidence suggested a problem on their end, they didn’t investigate. They simply canceled my service.

This is how SendPulse handles customers with valid concerns: dismiss them, then cut them off.

If you care about deliverability and expect professional support, avoid SendPulse.

Our system includes automated content analysis that flags messages which may appear to be unsolicited or not based on an opt-in list. In such cases, email sending may be suspended to protect both our sender reputation and that of our clients.
