my initial consultation with my…

my initial consultation with my daughter was very good and the knowledge I was given and showed was very good also and I was happy to go ahead with therapy for her , we had been attending for a good few block courses (5 sessions each block) which is not cheap by no means, and initially was good but after a while the therapist was always late, another time one session was cancelled on the morning and was given back at the end of the block session which i was ok about , another 2 times day before was informed my daughter would have a different therapist. in the last 3/4 weeks I had to go for surgery and asked could I put one of the session on the other end of block as I was having surgery on the Thursday and wouldn't get down the Friday there was no obligation made bare times and days I genuinely could not make, due to my other kid having activities at the same time, this I found very frustrating as they had done it and when I asked there was no obligation made , the week after that I was told my daughter would be getting a totally new therapist and I said okay and then a few days later got a phone call to say the days and times would be changed also,my last session I had with my daughter i expressed the frustrations I was having with all of the above to the girl in the office , and when the therapist came in late again the girl in the office and the therapist started to speak in their own native language which is Polish as far as I know this made me and my daughter feel extremely uncomfortable and i taught this was the height of rudeness and was extremely unprofessional, all round I feel this is just a money maker for sensory kids and they don't have the interest of any of the kids at heart as these are kids with additional needs like asd and ADHD and there are no considerations made for the kids with all the chopping and changing of therapists and days and times . I had two sessions left which I paid for and didn't attend so that will tell you how bad my experience was the last time especially . I wouldn't recommend these at all and feel my daughter over all was let down by this company.

Fantastic Team + Professional Service

What stands out about Sensory Kids is the amount of experience, knowledge, and dedication that goes into the work every single day. Having seen the effort and care that the team puts in, I know how much thought goes into supporting children and families.

It’s a clinic built on genuine passion and professionalism. Would highly recommend to parents and families looking for trusted support for their children.

Called at 8am to cancel my son’s 2pm appointment as he was sick . I was told they needed 24hr notice I said my child was not sick 24hrs ago. They did not let me rebook so 100 euro gone down the drain. They speak to you after sessions on the corridor with all other parents. I would not recommend this place. Should have read these reviews before booking with them.

I was disappointed with the pediatric…

I was disappointed with the pediatric therapy services provided by this clinic. Despite their specialization in sensory processing disorders (SPD), the assessment felt rushed and the diagnosis lacked depth. Communication was poor, and I didn't feel informed about the treatment options available. Overall, the experience did not meet my expectations for quality care.

I booked an occupational therapy…

I booked an occupational therapy appointment with Sensory Kids for my 4-year-old son, which required a €50 deposit. However, I became suspicious of the company after making the payment when they sent me a policy document that I found very strange. The document essentially encourages one-on-one therapy sessions with the child without the parent being present, which raised red flags for me.

When I spoke on the phone with Marcelina, the office manager, everything we discussed was referred to as “occupational therapy.” However, I noticed that in the follow-up email, they carefully avoided mentioning “occupational therapy” altogether. Additionally, the email did not confirm the name of the occupational therapist we would be seeing. When I asked for this information, they finally confirmed that the therapist’s name is Maria Egea.

It turns out that Maria is not a qualified occupational therapist. Sensory Kids was planning to charge me €150 per hour for a pediatric occupational therapy consultation with her, which is illegal in Ireland.

There are several major issues with this:

Maria is not registered for the role: In Ireland, it is illegal to practice as an occupational therapist without being registered with CORU, the regulatory body.

Garda vetting concerns: Without CORU registration, there is no guarantee that Maria has been Garda vetted to work with children. What’s even more concerning is that Sensory Kids’ default policy is not to have parents present during therapy sessions.

Once I discovered that Maria is not qualified, I called the office to request a refund of my €50 deposit. Iwona Urbaniak initially tried to convince me that Maria was a qualified occupational therapist and was reluctant to refund my money. However, after I persisted, she eventually agreed to return the €50.

To make the situation even more alarming, when trying to get my money back when I mentioned that I couldn't claim the appointment cost from VHI because Maria is not a qualified OT, the office manager suggested that she could put Curtis Schwieterman’s name on the receipt so I could claim it back from VHI. She basically suggested that commiting Insurance fraud was a good solution to this problem.

As a parent of an autistic child, I understand how difficult it can be to access therapy, especially with long waiting lists. However, I strongly advise avoiding Sensory Kids, as they seem to be taking advantage of vulnerable families desperate to access services.

Very disappointed

Very disappointed! would not recommend! they only care about taking your money. don't do the full 45 mins, then blame the child! they don't reimbursed ya! and if your child has a cough or runny nose, they don't take the kids but take your money! feel robbed!!!

Sensory kids is one of the best clinics…

Sensory kids is one of the best clinics for early intervention for autistic kids in my opinion and experience.
We are clients since December 2020 and felt so luck because anetta and team have being doing the OT intervention to my twins.
I was lost after receiving asd diagnostic for twins and the first sessions they we’re doing the intervention to my sons - they were also training me to repeat at home and also explain what was beneficial to my sons, because at that time I didn’t have any idea. I could see the progress of my kids - first build relationship with the therapist, build new interests in playing, working the their sensorial needs, learning how to play proper with toys, physical conditioning exercises, etc liked also the staff is always the same and work hard and committed to the kids too - it’s important to the kids
