We bought the SE Visible Basic plan on Oct. 22, 2026, because the pricing page listed Perplexity tracking. It never appeared on our account. After several days and multiple emails, support admitted in writing that Perplexity was wrongly listed and won't be added. They also told us Claude tracking will come only on the higher-priced Agency plan, and only from the API rather than the answers real users see in the app.

The app has no usage counter. Support never confirmed the roughly 30,000 monthly answers that were advertised, and their latest reply asked about a 12,000 figure instead. Then an automated email moved every existing customer to a new plan at the same price. That changed our subscription page but fixed none of these problems. No refund was offered.

If a specific engine matters to you, get it confirmed in writing before you buy.

I’ve been a customer for several years, and I’m increasingly disappointed with the direction SE Ranking has taken. What was once a strong and useful tool has become far less appealing after being migrated—without my consent—to a significantly more expensive plan. To make matters worse, the one feature I valued most, SEO page optimisation, has been removed. At a time when AI is enhancing SEO capabilities across the industry, it’s difficult to understand why a platform would reduce functionality while increasing costs.

I have had issues with reliability with their company and now that they purchased another company I was using, I am having issues there as well. Years ago I purchased a lifetime plan, based on a special they had at the time, it wasn't honored.

As a marketing agency its important that we have the best tools available to report on SEO trends for our clients with confidence. Especially with the rollout of AI on Google - SERanking's database and AI tools are invaluable.

We are a legacy account, so renewing our plan could have been an admin headache if it weren't for Maksym Blyzniuk (Customer Success Manager) - he helped tailor our new plan to include the AI tracking we needed to keep ahead of the changes to search reporting - a pleasant experience and an easy decision to renew after he supported tailoring the new plan to fit our needs.

We use SE Ranking all the time to plan & carry out SEO - for us and our clients! Specifically, we use the Search Volume Checker and other tools for keyword research and strategy. We plan to keep renewing with them & are happy with the value of the service!

I've been using SE Ranking for over 8 years now, and it's become an essential part of my digital marketing toolkit. Compared to other SEO platforms, SE Ranking offers an incredibly well-rounded feature set at a much more affordable price.

The keyword tracking is accurate, the site audit tool is detailed and easy to understand, and the backlink monitoring has helped me keep an eye on new and lost links. I especially appreciate the white-label reporting and marketing plan features, which are great for client presentations.

I initially got it for the English language, but it can handle Japanese decently well as well.

One downside is that they are always increasing their prices, but they have been good about grandfathering prices.

SE Ranking has been the SEO tool for my own project since Fe 2021 or for more than 4 years. It offers all basic features and price plan for a small project with much less price. That was exactly I was looking for and other SEO tools like seoClarity, SEMRush, ahref etc does not offer such options.

SE Ranking seems to have smaller data pool compared to others. It results in slow response when you carry out keyword research on relatively minor keywords. Which is only a con I have ever noticed with SE Ranking.

Frustrated with SE Ranking's customer service. The assigned manager has repeatedly missed meetings and ignored my emails. Their support is unresponsive and unreliable, often providing only standard answers or links to their blog instead of addressing my concerns. Since we have the pro plan and pay a substantial amount, it's disappointing to see that they do not seem to care about the needs of customers.

I’ve had disappointing experiences with SE Ranking. I had a (legacy) Essential 250 subscription (250 keywords) for €37 per month. Their pricing has since increased significantly, and the minimum is now 500 keywords. As a hobbyist, I don’t need that many keywords. So, I contacted them for a Custom Plan, as advertised on their website.

SE Ranking couldn’t offer me anything other than the new Essential Plan for €59 per month. Since I don’t need the advanced functionality, this is far too expensive for me. So, I canceled my subscription.

I had purchased a $20 balance for an extra report, of which I used only $0.08. Now it turns out that this money is lost. According to them, it "cannot" be refunded. After insisting, they offered to apply the amount as a discount on the first month of a new subscription. Which would still cost €37 in the first month. In the end, they offered to extend my existing subscription for a few extra days with that balance. Well, thanks, but they’ve lost me as a customer.

Additionally, the ranking of Dutch-language keywords doesn’t seem very reliable due to the low search volumes for my Dutch websites. I couldn’t find much correlation between the estimated and actual visitor numbers.

We have been with them Since 2017 and this year we decided to change the businesses as we didn't see the data to be as accurate and relevant as we needed.

After cancelling our renewal we were told that we were already charged for our plan 3 days prior to our plan being due for a renewal. We asked them to refund us the plan as it was more than 1k and they decided to refuse us the refund.

They said it is normal practice for them to charge prior to the due date.

If you decide to use them, please make sure you mark it in your calendar as it is a headache to get a refund from them.

Great product. I would love to see the option to buy additional keywords whilst remaining on the Essential plan. Support is good too, quick to respond. SE Ranking is solid professional tool with great features for SEO.

I've been using this service for more than 4 years and I'm not going to change it to any other one yet. I used to use a tariff plan, but then switched to paying for tracking positions. This was a more relevant option for solving current problems. Very large functionality. I like the competitor analysis feature. As many as 5 competitors can be tracked for free for free. It is very comfortable. Thanks for the service!

Very misleading information when signing up to a paid plan. Paid £89 per month for access to historic keyword data as it clearly stated I would receive. Upon completion, I noticed I did not receive access to this historic keyword data and "Oleg", the live chat assistant told me that I would need to further upgrade to their most expensive plan to access this data. Really disappointing when a company tries to deceive the customer, immediately lost their integrity.

incredible set of tools. My favorite part is the marketing plan they let you use. Honestly, follow that plan and you will find your way to sucess. The cost for the tools is extremely affordable and the data is really good. The only reason I gave it 4 stars was because I reached out to the team about some accessibility issues with their tables (I'm a blind user and there's a disconnect between the table headers and the rest of the data when looking at the full reports) but I never heard back from support about that. I'm still using the tools though and aside from the table disconnect, everything is fully accessible and user-friendly. keep it up yall!

I started a trial with SE ranking and I ended up upgrading my plan to the Pro version. I am very happy with all the amazing tools they have inside. Mainly keyword tracking, keyword clustering and report creating. And also support in very responsive. Thanks.

BEWARE. BEWARE. BEWARE. I purchased an annual subscription to this platform in 2020. Sadly, it did not meet my expectations. On December 1, I received a notification that my subscription had been renewed. See my story below:

The SERANKING website states that subscribers will be notified 7 days prior to renewal. I never received this notification to the SERANKING associated business email address. The only emails I have received at my address are daily report emails. I have gone through every single email from them going back two weeks and NOT a SINGLE notification regarding renewal was sent to my subscription email address.

Upon research, I found that the third party they use 2Checkout sent a notification to my unmonitored personal email that I use for Paypal. This is NOT my business email which is associated with my SERanking account. I look for business-related emails on my business account, not my personal account which is flooded by spam.

Regardless, that notification (sent to my non-business email address) stipulated that my subscription would EXPIRE ON DECEMBER 2nd. Also, I began contacting SERANKING the 1st,(attempts at chat, emails to support, a phone call) and followed up with 2Checkout on the 2nd..the FINAL DAY of my previous subscription. (see screenshots).

Again, they renewed me a DAY before my final date of current service and I attempted cancellations on both the 1st and the 2nd.

I began the cancellation attempts on December 1st the minute I was aware it was being renewed (a full two days before the next renewal period would begin.) I attempted a chat (no one there), a phone call (no one available), I sent emails (They bounced back). When I finally reached SERANKING by phone on December 2nd (the final day of my previous subscription), I was assured that my account would be canceled and that I would be refunded. I promptly received an email from 2checkout that SERANKING canceled my account..but nothing for the refund. I I sent a message to 2Checkout and they sent me an autoresponder with no answer. I opened a case with PayPal, and 2 Checkout told them I canceled after my subscription renewed. Well yeah, because they RENEWED ME EARLY!!! Now, why would I agree to forfeit both the service and my nearly $1000? I would not. I was assured by the representative I spoke with at SERanking that they would cancel and I would be refunded. I plan to contact them again as well to issue a complaint about this deceptive business practice.

I uncovered an email in my AOL inbox ) clearly states that my subscription was not due for renewal until December 2nd and I requested cancellation on December 1st the day they pushed my renewal through two days early.

There is a very confusing situation/relationship as I have uncovered today with SERANKING using 2Checkout as a third-party handler of their sales. I did not realize that was the situation. Perhaps, I would have known before the second if my attempts to contact SERANKING on the 1st were successful. OR if 2Checkout used the email associated with my account for communication instead of my paypal email. This is a very bizarre business practice.

I have appealed my case with PayPal with the documentation showing that 2CHECKOUT renewed me early. Sadly, I cannot forward a phone call. I did however, provide the email thread of what bounced back. BTW, I forwarded that email thread to a personal email address and resent to SERANKING and I have not received a bounce back...but I have not received a response either. I plan to contact an attorney and the state's Attorney for Maryland to report the shady business practices.

You analyze these parameters and you are ready to start your seo strategy, without expensive seo marketers.

I've tried quite a few SEO software tools, including SEMRush, AHrefs, and Moz, and found that SE Ranking is the best bang for the buck. Their essential plan at $31/mo is perfect for my small business. It has a nice and easy-to-use interface, really good keyword tracking and research tools. Customer service was also prompt when I've had questions. Their site audit rating is a little unforgiving as my site score is at least twice as good on other popular site audits such as SEMRush, but this isn't really a complaint since it does what you want in finding problems and potential areas for improvement.

The ranking accuracy is on par with the established leaders in the space such as Semrush and Ahrefs. The keywords database I have actually found to be better in SERanking for my use case (Singapore based, medical industry) when compared to Semrush.

Another big plus is the flexibility in the price plans in addition to the fact they're affordably priced to start with. Unlimited projects and users for Pro and above and you can pick the number of keyword you need, ranking update frequency, payment plan (monthly to yearly) and top up your credit when you reach limits for certain things like page monitoring.
