Service Desk Simulator is a hands-on IT support training platform built to help aspiring and current IT professionals gain real-world experience before stepping into a live support environment. Instead of just studying theory, users get to practice the actual work. They can troubleshoot realistic technical issues, work through support tickets, handle simulated phone calls, and improve the communication skills that are critical in IT support roles. The platform is designed to mirror what it's actually like working on a service desk. Users can complete practice tickets for free, helping them build confidence and develop the problem-solving skills employers look for. For those looking to take their training further, premium features include simulated phone calls and mock interviews based on questions commonly asked during real IT support interviews. We built Service Desk Simulator for career changers, students, bootcamp graduates, and entry-level technicians who want practical experience they can talk about in interviews. It's also used by educators and team leads who want a more engaging way to train students and new hires through realistic scenarios. Whether you're preparing for your first help desk job, getting ready for interviews, or training a support team, Service Desk Simulator helps turn practice into real confidence and job-ready skills.

Perfect to simulate the average day in the field

After earning my helpdesk certification, I heard about this sim through social media and I wanted to try it out. So far, it does a great job of simulating what a helpdesk associate at the first tier goes through which is to help reset passwords, reconfigure vpns, and just guide clients through their fixes. Overall a great start but I wish there were more complex problems so others could get experience from those too.

Impressive with outages

Hello, I was very excited to finally try Service Desk Simulator, and I even purchased the subscription. However, I have to say that during the time I was using this website, I experienced many issues and bugs, such as logic problems and AI-related issues. I was about to initiate a chargeback, but because this website has a lot of potential and a very, very nice developer (owner), I didn’t.

I was able to contact him 24/7 in their Discord server, and he directly fixed the issues I had in real time, which is impressive. I am not sure about all the bugs and issues by now, but I wanted to leave a review.

By the way, the one star that is missing is because the subscription is way too expensive for the extra service you get, and because there were outages, I wasn’t able to fully use my subscription.

My experience is based around 03.03.2026.

Good for experience but is buggy

This website is good to understand what you need to do as a normal service desk operative but it is quite buggy, including with having issues with some of the tickets which are within the website. However overall, it’s good.
