Fantastic experience with this compnay. The website is extremely easy to use and I didn't have to call three different companies to get a quote which saved me some hassle.

I would suggest that they maybe explain a bit more about how parking charges work but that is my only gripe. I actually called and spoke to one gentlemen about this who was very helpful and explained it in more detail.

Would recommend if you want to save some time.

UPDATE 2:
Service Octopus returned deposit straight away so definitely a trustworthy company. However, the fact they allowed a sub-par cleaning company on their site indicates that they need to do a bit more due diligence on the companies. At the end of the day they offer very good prices, but I would suggest you book only cleaners with positive reviews and not rely on the fact that they were included on the service octopus website alone.

UPDATE:
Service Octopus called me back the morning after my email complaint and offered to arrange a replacement cleaner withing 45 min for the same low price or a refund - I asked for the latter as I already had booked directly (at a higher cost unfortunately). Will update this review again once refund is confirmed.

Booked a clean for a week ahead, got an email confirmation from service octopus and a deposit was charged so assumed all was good.

A few days later I get an automated email to review the cleaner for which I booked but had not received a service yet. That got me wondering about whether the booking had gone through.

Called the cleaning company and they had not received the booking and offered another slot 2 days later. Also claimed that serviceoctopus takes deposit and does not guarantee or ensure bookings are scheduled appropriately.

Bottom line - serviceoctopus will charge you a deposit to just email a cleaning company and then leave you to sort out the mess. Do yourself a favor and call direct.

Would never use this site again. Booked a cleaning company from it called 'London Cleaning System' who would not speak on the phone, would only accept a phone booking. Day before the clean they called and asked to move the booking from 11.00 AM to 4.00 PM.. I agreed. On the day itself, they texted to say they'd arrive at 5. I called to say that wasn't acceptable and an incredibly rude man shouted at me and told me it was because 'there is a marathon in London ' - the marathon was last week! Service octopus bookings are not guaranteed he said, and we are left high and dry not knowing what's happening, or who to contact. The site is not trustworthy and there's no way of vetting the companies they have on there. Avoid at all costs!

quick and easy to use. needed to clarify if a double oven was included in the standard end of tenancy cleaning as this isn't clear on the website. The gentleman I spoke to did a great job of explaining this to me. Would recommend.

Simple and easy to use. I made my booking online in a few clicks which saved me calling around companies. Surprised this type of thing didn't exist until now.

cleaners did a good job but they weren't very polite and couldn't speak great English. On a more positive note the website was easy to use and saved me some time.

Website didn't work. I couldn't make a booking on my windows mobile. Not very good.

Really simple and easy to use website and friendly customer service person. I can't comment on the quality of the cleaning company as they're booked for the 2nd week of May. Watch this space.
