HORRIBLE... Never use Servpro!

Used them at my work on a commercial building when we had a water leak on the 2nd floor. They were good the first day sucking up the water they could and removing the fallen ceiling tiles. Sent a bunch of people. Told us what we wanted to hear about how they work.
Day 2 only 4 people show. We had 3 floors that needed lots of work! Only 2 people worked cutting drywall 2ft from the bottom. Why 2ft? We weren't flooded from the bottom up? The water came from the top down. The WHOLE wall is wet? They refused to do anything else.
The other 2 just walked around or sat in their truck. The project manager didn't show up and when I called him to find out what was going on I was told lies. Was also told they wouldn't work over the weekend! We have businesses that can't function until we get this cleaned up!
Was told the two walking around were reading the levels on the machines running and moving them as needed. They didn't move ONE machine since they had been there. They were doing nothing! They also didn't show up at 8:30 as I was told. Not till around 11am.
They didn't contain the drywall dust when cutting it as I was told they would. They didn't start in the areas we told them were the most important. They also blew the 1st floor electrical box by plugging to many machines into the one side. We are lucky the box didn't catch on fire.
They are horrible. No communication between teams. SO many lies. They just wanted to milk the job as long as they could. Oh, they also stole our shovel that I used to scoop up some ceiling tile before they got there. We fired them at 3pm the following day and brought in another company.

The team showed up late and didn’t communicate clearly throughout the process. I felt like I had to chase them for updates. The work was eventually done, but it left me more stressed than relieved. Maybe I just caught them on a bad week, but I expected better.

Hired SERVPRO after a pipe burst

Hired SERVPRO after a pipe burst. They showed up late, brought enough equipment to dry out the Titanic, and then left it running for days with no update. Yes, the water’s gone, but so is half my sanity and most of the baseboards. I don't think Imma use their services again.

Exploiting day labor workers !!

First off when you hire day labor workers or immigrant workers and you don't provide a port a pottie so their not missing on the side of house while they work shows the mentality of this company. But then to have them handling asbestos and lead materials that they have no knowledge of yet alone been trained or giving proper protective equipment. These people are scum bag crooks and will Steal your things and your personal identity any chance they can get. I walked into their office one day on daisy no one at desk so I walk around to find worker going thru a box of someone's stuff not taking inventory just going thru it when she seen me shock and guilt covered her face until she finally remembered to do her job and answer some questions. Also during this time the property they were working at got broken into at 1pm broad daylight I pull up they looked like workers because in the short time I'd seen like 10 different workers that they hired probably Home Depot . Look I could go on there is so much wrong with company. This company straight up is scandalous and will have friends break into your place while they're going thru your stuff at their storage. And I haven't even got to the way they will for sure do you dirty on actual work and billing. This is the only company I've ever seen a review that they are Intimidating. But I don't doubt it when your a skum bag in the way you do business and care less about your workers that you exploit immigrants . You need your ass kicked . A couple of times

Horrible experience all around

Horrible experience! I was stuck having to deal with them after my apartment chose them to do some work after a small water leak. They didn't understand the problem, put in equipment that was inappropriate and were rude to me as a resident when I asked a question. The crew doing the work had limited (at best) English. The worst part of all was the horrible communication and follow-through! There was not one time that they did what they said they would do when they said they would do it! I usually like to patronize local owned small business, the total rude, disrespectful and condescending way the representative treated me throughout our project makes Servepro an exception to my rule!

They only want to do big jobs

I called them to do a small job to replace part of my ceiling. It seems that the job was too small for them because they kept trying to find excuses not to do the work. They finally wound up saying that I would need to get an asbestos report before they would even start any work on it. I hung up on them. I will never call them again for any reason.

Totally unprofessional company

The worker that came out to my house was very unprofessional, disrespectful, and rude to me when he wanted me to sign off on the job. I told him about something that was unacceptable and he basically threw a temper tantrum, stormed out of my house and slammed my door in my face. My insurance company hired them, so I had no say in the matter. I will never work with them again, nor refer them to anyone.

Highway robbery

They showed up at my home the next day after my house fire. I was like what I didn't call anyone but it's my first experience so I'm like I needed help. Serv pro came in and was total crooks. They completely over charged for the lil work they did do. That's not the worst how about charging for work that wasn't even done that is highway robbery. State Farm was ok with it I guess state farm must receive some kind of kick back from them. My adjuster himself stated to me and my contractor that they inflate charges so State Farm is ok with it apparently wow. Servpro is trying to charge me over 16,000 dollars for work and also for ghost work they put on the bill that wasn't done sick. If they show up at your door run slam the door in they face no thanks I will not agree for you to rob me.

Stole many items

Stole many items, some sentimental. Went into closets when we specially told them not to. They even SMOKED POT in one of our bedrooms. Terrible service, save yourself time, worry and money by working with these people.

Bad experience with management. I interviewed 3 separate days. The last interview was with owner and he shook my hand and said I had the job. Two days later he text me and said they hired someone else for my position. This is not professional and not how an owner should conduct himself/herself.

My sister lives in Westbrook Maine and had a sewerage back up in her house. She had to have her sewer pipe replaced and her house had feces and sewerage in her basement and upstairs in her living area. My sister is 75 and has Health issues. Servpro dragged their feet while my sister was living in her house in winter and dealing with Meagan from Servpro who kept telling her they would call her back and never did until the insurance company called then they called her and said somebody had to come and check for asbestos. Not knowing how much longer this would take my sister told Meagan that she didn't want to use Servpro anymore Meagan got really ugly with her and said she was going to have to pay for the asbestos check. Will never use Servpro and will share this story with everyone I know. We will also contact the attorney generals office and see if we should take this further.

Production manager took advantage of my situation and I got stuck with a RIDICULOUS bill. I asked for an estimate and he just wanted me to open a claim with my insurance company. Why open a claim if it could possibly be less than my deductible? In the end, trusting the process and the production managers word my claim was denied. Overpriced and disappointing experience, especially having the bill sent on Christmas eve.

I have a small fire in my home and had them come out to pack up items that were damaged when claiming non salvageable items weren't on there but they still threw them away so I was not able to claim it on my insurance claim when calling to let them know they still haven't resolved the issue.They charge
me a huge amount to pack it up. Items came back still smelling like smoke like they never cleaned them. Be aware they will also charge you for bringing your stuff back even though they said it was included.Also had them come clean they did not do a good job on that either they charged me a huge amount and didn't do what they said they did so we had to fight to get a lot of stuff knocked off the list. The house still smells like smoke I would not recommend this company they are just out there to get the insurance claim they don't care about how you feel or try to correct it.

Ask insurance provider to use anyone other than ServePro!

Do not use ServePro. Ask your insurance provider to use ServiceMaster or anyone other than ServePro. Water mitigation was not complete. the baseplate at ground zero of the flood was not treated wood so it absorbed the smelly fecal flood water. ServePro did not disinfect and encapsulate the baseplate, which is standard procedure. I did not know this until I noticed the smell lingering well past the time it should have dissipated. Unfortunately, by then I had already signed off that their work was complete (it only took two days to gut the basement and run the fans then I signed). After two weeks of the smell not going away I put my nose to the baseplate and it almost knocked me out. ServePro came out and confirmed that was the source of the smell but since the claim was "closed" I would have to pay out-of-pocket to have them do the job they should've done the first time they were out and was paid $19k to do. Coming back to finish the job at no cost is not unreasonable. This is unacceptable.

Tony & ServPro of Tarrytown / Elmsford Literally Perform Miracles

I had an unimaginably horrible odor in my otherwise gorgeous new home and the ServPro team of Tarrytown / Elmsford were nothing short of a Godsend!!! And when I say this, I mean Tony and his team (Nick, Henry, another Tony, and Jorge) literally perform miracles. I had assumed that the smell, which was apparent in the home upon the initial viewing, would disappear with the former owners when they and their stuff moved out, but it had somehow become deeply entrenched in the home – the air, every nook and cranny, the carpet, the walls, everything. It was horrifying and shocking to realize that the former owners had hired professional cleaners, as every surface seemed to be already sanitized and dust free, yet the overpowering odor persisted to the point where I had to open the windows anytime I was in my new home and couldn’t spend more than 20 minutes in there without uncontrollably gagging and becoming extremely sick.

In desperation, I Googled local cleaning specialists and found ServPro, which seemed to offer the most heavy duty cleaning out there (i.e. I wasn’t sure if another normal cleaning service could get the smell out, because the former owners seemed to have cleaned and sanitized everything already).

Tony was so friendly, kind, and supportive from the initial phone call we had and at every step of the remediation process. He quickly accommodated my schedule to meet with me and assess the smell, despite seeming to juggle many other appointments at the same time. He not only met my distress with a calm and reassuring manner that put my nerves at ease, but he also quickly drew up a proposal that worked within my budget and involved specialty equipment specific to my situation. I wasn’t sure if the equipment would work, but because Tony worked to get things within my budget, I was able to give it a try and boy am I glad I did. I mean, glad doesn’t even begin to describe the level of relief and joy that I felt with the work that ServPro did for me. The smell is COMPLETELY GONE!!!! I am nearly 100% certain that no amount of cleaning would have ever gotten that smell out and that very specialized equipment was necessary. If you have a horrible situation that normal cleaning has failed to remediate then ServePro is your best bet. Not only will they be friendly and supportive at every step of the process – which is so incredibly helpful when you are dealing with a horrible (I would even say traumatizing) situation – but I am convinced they can fix nearly every situation that normal cleaning can’t. Oh, and they also give free estimates – so you literally have nothing to loose in scheduling a consultation. If you’re in doubt, just call them – you will not regret it.

Hit by a tornado

We were hit by a tornado on November 3 sustaining significant water and structural damage. ServPro came into to stabilize what could be saved. The team were highly professional, timely, and thorough. We deeply appreciate Aaron, Tyler, Jesus, Chase, Luis and Santos for the extra care they gave to us.

Called ServPro to remove water from carpet at church…

ServPro was called to remove water from the carpet at church after baptist pool overflowed. After talking to a serve agent we were told that they could get someone there soon.
Mr. Barry Diamond came to survey the damaged carpet and he explained what was to be done. He came prepared to get the job done. Mr. Diamond wasted no time in getting the job started, he did a great job and guaranteed his work. If we ever need ServPro again I personally will ask for Mr. Barry Diamond. His work speaks volumes, and a very respectable employee.
Thanks so much for having employees that cares about their work reputation.

House Fire

Had a house fire in July. The house was a 1 floor home above a garage. The fire was contained in the kitchen but smoke damage throughout the house. Servopro came in for 4 days removed all items and took pictures and gave me a list of the contents which took 2 ½ months. Once I received the list the insurance company stated that the list is incorrect and needed to be put on a blue list. I had to redo the entire list for the insurance company which took probably 40+ hours. After all, said and done the bill for servopro was $10,500.00 I never received an estimate nor would ever imagine that it would cost this much to clean out a home and take pictures (Which I had to redo) All I can say is if you have something like a house fire or something life changing step back for a few days and get your mind right some people and companies will take advantage of you Its sad but true.
