There is a ton of good and bad content around personal finance on the web and it is very easy to get lost in it all. James's content was always among the best I found and this online course is even better. Logically laid out from start to finish without any distractions or going off course. The community and software also help to make it more personal and relevant

I've found this course very useful in learning how to plan my future. I've gone from feeling uncertain if I was doing the right things or how to do better to having a clearer path. I've learned how to model various possibilities in Voyant as well which is very helpful.

My experience of Shackademy has been hugely positive.
Onboarding was really easy, well documented and well supported by James and especially Ben.
The course content has really helped get me up the huge learning curve with personal finances, investing and retiring and the tools provided (Voyant) has given me the confidence that not only am I on track to retire as planned, but can actually retire earlier, and more comfortably, which is worth its weight in gold (or a well diversified global portfolio of stocks :-)).

Within a few short days of starting the course, I was able to self generate a financial plan that was more detailed than I ever thought possible. Voyant (and the wonderful support of Bens teachings on how to use it) let me see possibilities I was completely unaware of. It made me realise I'm in a much stronger position than I had understood. The ability to see that retiring earlier than I planned is achievable was a revelation. Voyant puts professional cash flow planning into a space where (a novice like me) can exploit it. Playing around with 'what if' section allows you to see the lifetime impact of different scenarios which is powerful beyond belief. The course is exceptionally well put together, thoughtfully annotated and puts you into a community of like-minded people who you can learn from and share with. The support on the platform is second to none and the course content is practical and easy to understand. You see so many opportunities based on the content that you simply wouldn't notice without endless self study. The community is great with lots of people happy to help each other out and a safe space to think out loud. I would recommend this course to anyone who wants to take control of their financial future. It's the best investment you are very likely to make and I'll be seeing returns from it for the rest of my life. Its a no brainer!
