I deeply regret choosing this company

I deeply regret choosing this company. After signing my contract, paying the deposit, getting Energex approval, and doing multiple follow-ups, I was still the one chasing them for basic updates. Every time I contacted them, I got vague answers or excuses.

Months later!!! with all delays caused entirely by them, they suddenly told me the price has increased and I now have to pay the gap. They even blamed it on the person handling my job left the company, as if that excuses ignoring a signed contract and a deposit already paid. Completely unacceptable and shows zero accountability.

They failed to honour their own agreement, wasted months of my time, and treated me like my project didn’t matter.

I strongly advise avoiding this company if you value honesty, reliability, or professional customer service.

Extremely disappointing experience

Extremely disappointing experience – Unprofessional and negligent service

I had one of the most frustrating experiences with Shark Solar. I confirmed an installation appointment (Quote No: SK414368) for 6 October 2025, between 7:30 AM and 11:30 AM. Both my wife and I took leave from work to accommodate their technician. Unfortunately, no one attended the site, and there was absolutely no call, email, or message from the company to advise of any delay or cancellation.

I tried to contact them more than 20 times that day, but there was no answer. This complete lack of communication and professionalism caused a direct financial loss and significant stress for my family.

After repeated written notices and emails, the company finally advised that they have refunded $200 yesterday (not received yet), but they refused to take any responsibility for the $700 loss of income caused by their no-show — even though the appointment was confirmed in writing. Their handling of the matter was slow, dismissive, and far below the standards expected under the Australian Consumer Law (Competition and Consumer Act 2010, Sections 60 and 61), which requires services to be provided with due care, skill, and within a reasonable time.

I have now escalated the matter to Consumer Affairs Victoria, the Energy and Water Ombudsman (EWOV), and the ACCC for formal review.

My honest advice to others:
Be very cautious before engaging this company. Based on my experience, Shark Solar failed to meet even basic standards of customer service, reliability, and accountability.
