Ordered a Shark Chill Pill personal fan…

Ordered a Shark Chill Pill personal fan yesterday The delivery was supposed to be today by DPD. But, despite a tracking number was issued courier Luis did not turn up. Luis lied to say an attempt was made; Luis does not work Saturday either, it seemed; Royal Mail had no issue with an earlier delivery to the same address.
But, Shark could not or unable to do anything positive to address this; Shark could not contact DPD direct to enquire about Luis.
I'm terribly disappointed with Shark. I've been a customer for many years buying 2 Shark hoovers, 3 Ninja Air fryers and a Shark mob. I think I'll take my business elsewhere in the future if association with DPD continues esp the courier is Luis at the Croydon depot.

Customer "service", huh!

On 25th May 2025 I requested notification when a part was back in stock. I got an email acknowledgement confirming my request.
Today I phoned Shark as I had heard NOTHING from them.
The foreign (Vietnamese?) girl I spoke to needed my email address FIVE times and insisted there was NO record of me even being a customer. [I have a vacuum cleaner AND a fan].
She spoke too fast and with her accent I could barely understand half of what she said, despite asking her to speak more slowly!
She said there was no record of me being a customer, yet only this morning I had got yet another marketting email from them, so they MUST have a record of me.
What a USELESS company. They are very efficient SELLING and taking your money, and utterly USELESS if you need parts or assistance.
My advice is DON'T BUY SHARK!

Judging by these TrustPilot reviews, which Shark don't appear to read or monitor, THEY DON'T CARE.

Very uncomfortable to use

I hate my shark cordless hoover worst hoover I have ever owned, too heavy I have put up with it for 2 years, so fed up with using it I have now gone back to good old Dyson which as always is perfect. Shark was so expensive but not at all a comfortable hoover to use. Very disappointed.

Do not buy Shark products

Terrible products. Mine is 14 months old and the power nozzle has broken. The nozzles are NOT repairable in any way, you CANNOT fix them or clean them without taking the whole thing into a 100 pieces. They are designed this way to make you keep paying for spares. You have to buy a new nozzle for £70, so you're £170 vacuum will cost you £240-£250. Considering they are constantly changing their products, you'll be lucky if you can even get spares. The nozzle is now full of dust and smells. They are totally overhyped and unreliable. I would never recommend a shark product.

Sharp upright vacuum Safety Issues.

Sharp mains upright vacuum cleaner model NZ690UKT
I found this to have a powerful vacuum, but like all shark vacuum cleaners I have seen advertised they have design safety issues. Firstly when using the extendable suction hose pipe, the connection to the main vacuum is two thirds up the unit resulting in the unit being totally unbalanced and very easily pulled over when using the (quite short) flexible suction hose, resulting in a possibility of causing injury or damage to anything the vacuum lands on, ( kids, pets, furniture etc) Secondly, the mains power cable exits the main unit at the same height as the flexible hose, resulting in it being a Trip hazard when vacuuming, a small flex clip is located at the top of the handle but is actually useless in securing the flex when running the vacuum up and down a carpet. I don’t think I’d have another Mains Shark Upright Vacuum cleaner.

The flex is ridiculous

The flex is ridiculous, it’s made out of a material which is so stiff , really winds me up !!!!
Other than that the rest of the vacuum cleaner is very good
Would have been 5 stars but the flex is s*it

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I contacted Shark customer service regarding a faulty vacuum and, although there was a bit of back and forth, the experience was handled professionally throughout.

Karim, Zainab, and Abdul Rahman were especially supportive, polite, and respectful. They took the time to listen and kept me updated during the process.

The issue was eventually resolved and the vacuum was replaced under warranty. I also appreciated the care and understanding shown towards my elderly disabled mother.

Overall, I’m grateful for the service and how the situation was handled.

Happy to have a Shark at hand…

We have been very impressed with the whole Shark experience in relation to purchasing the Shark Powerpro Pet cordless stick vacuum. Very fair price; five year guarantee; ordered Saturday and DPD timed delivery on Monday; very well packaged; easy to put together and operate; very effective on hard and carpeted floors; handy flexibility of stem to go under furniture; very easy to empty; three additional tools and that’s enough! Battery power comfortable to do 45 mins and cover the whole four-storey house. Very pleased first-time customers indeed!

Superb customer service

Superb customer service. Bought a Shark Nano stick vacuum from Amazon. Had problems with the motor overheating after about a year. Went back to Amazon who told me that as it was out of warranty, they couldn't help me and send me to the manufacterer directly. The agent was so helpful, agreed that it was faulty and even though out of warranty, he arranged a replacement. This was at 11am yesterday, this morning a courier arrived with a full replacement. What incredible service - absoluetly 5 stars!I had an excellent experience with customer service. I bought a Shark Nano stick vacuum from Amazon, but after about a year, I started having issues with the motor overheating. When I contacted Amazon, they informed me that since the product was out of warranty, they couldn't assist me further and directed me to the manufacturer instead.

The agent from the manufacturer was very helpful and agreed that the vacuum was faulty. Even though it was out of warranty, he arranged for a replacement. This all took place at 11 AM yesterday, and by this morning, a courier arrived with the new vacuum. I'm truly impressed with such incredible service—absolutely 5 stars!

At first I was very happy with my Shark, got some great features, it’s manoeuvrability, no bag, comes apart etc., but as time went on I realised it wasn’t beefy enough for my needs. DIY detritus, soil from the garden, kitchen stuff…so I went and bought a Henry (which is brilliant) and demoted the Shark to upstairs cleaning only.

Do Not Buy Hoover

The story started off well with load of so called warranty I thought I would be well covered. After a few months hoover would hardly pickup. Called the support team still under warranty sent me a new engine unit and said all I had to do was fit it and hoover should be fixed. Not so, hoover still did not pick up called them back told to email. Emailed back and have not 1 reply in order to fix the issue now have a £350 hoover redundant. Total waste of money DO NOT ENTERTAIN THEM.

Absolute cr@p

Absolute crap! After owning a Henry for over 20 years my partner pursueded me to give the Shark upright a go, we bought it in the sale and from the off it was pretty much useless.

The flexi hose that clips into the back of the hoover kept coming loose, the electric chord is far too short, it has next to no suction despite no clogging anywhere in the system, you literally have to go over the same spot a few times, on carpet it's not too bad but it really is useless on hard floor.

Compared to the Henry it really shows it's flaws and weaknesses, especially when trying to hoover the cars interior.

A waste of money, back to Henry it is from now.

We have a cordless Shark Duo Clean and…

We have a cordless Shark Duo Clean and it's terrible... Writing this to help inform people's purchases.

For a start it's supposed to be able to manage pet hair it can't. We have two Golden Retrievers. It frequently gets clogged up and loses suction power with hairs getting tightly tangled and wrapped.

Second, frequently over heats and won't work.

Third has virtually no suction power, this is probably the biggest issue. I really can't stress how bad the suction and cleaning action is... I can hoover the same spot for 10 minutes and it makes no difference, if I could include a video I would...

Lastly, price Vs performance isn't worth it at all. This is a premium end price range hoover and it's not even worth a fraction of the cost.

Avoid.
