DON'T USE THIS COMPANY! No positive impact on our company and ignore you once they have made the sale!

We were hounded by them to buy a domain name, they called multiple times a day till we decided to buy it. As soon as we purchased and emailed them with questions regarding the WHOIS information not updating they have repeatedly ignored us. It's been 8 months now and still no response and the WHOIS information hasn't been updated! Avoid at all costs! We've also had no positive SEO impact from doing so, it's all BS.

An absolute nightmare - Sharps Digital / Sharps Media Group / Sharps Online

This review refers to one company that seems to operate under different names - SharpsDigital.co.uk and SharpsMediaGroup.co.uk

I tried my best to do due diligence prior to dealing with this company, but found no reviews about them before buying a domain name and mirror website to be built. I hope that this information may help someone else avoid a similar experience.

We were first contacted by a sales person for this company early in 2018. They were offering us a domain name for sale which we declined more than once. However, the calls did not stop and the arguments became more persuasive, so in the end we agreed to purchase a domain name which also included in the price, a mirror website to be completed by them.

They claimed that this would hugely benefit our presence on the internet and even showed us some examples of other sites. I called one of these previous clients who confirmed they had done the work some time before, but said nothing more.

After the purchase, we were promised that the domain would be transferred into our name within days, but this did not happen. We called and emailed on dozens of occasions, speaking to various members of staff including the salesman, a senior manager and other staff about the transfer not taking place.

Week in and week out we were promised that the domain would be transferred to us. It became very stressful and unpleasant. At one point we asked them to simply refund our money and forget about the transfer, so eventually they transferred it into our name.

We were given completion date for the mirror site and again this date came and went and yet again getting cooperation from Sharps Media Group (aka Sharps Digital) was a nightmare. Repeatedly promises were made that the mirror site that we already paid for would be completed. There was always a new excuse and promises that the site would be completed.

We have given up on having the mirror website. All we have is the over priced domain we purchased. It certainly is not worth what they charged us for it, given that the actual website will not materialise. It is a lesson learned. How they continue to function without the word spreading is beyond me.

This company should be avoided at all cost.

UPDATE SINCE SHARPS REPLY:

You had months to deal with the problems and did not do so. I have no intention of contacting you again and starting down this stressful road again. You had your chances......and lots of them, to deliver what you were paid for. I doubt this reply is anymore than a cynical way of trying to mitigate the poor review. Maybe just deliver the service customers pay you for and do what you promise the poor unsuspecting people that do not find out what sort of company you are in advance of dealing with you.
