My 93 year old wife needed to have her ears checked for wax build up, before having a hearing test at the local Hospital, if the Hospital found any wax, they would tell us that they could not do a hearing test until the wax was removed. (Another long wait), another appointment needed for the hearing test.
Matt arrived and immediately put my wife at ease, he is a fully trained professional, he clearly explained what he would do, and is also a really great person. I wish we could buy him a helicopter to help with all of his kit! All in all a great painless experience for my wife, give him a try, you will agree with my comments.

Excellent care and attention provided by Matt! He explained the procedure clearly and thoroughly and made sure I was comfortable with everything before he started. I had no discomfort during the micro suction and I’m amazed at how well I can hear now! I would highly recommend Matt to others.

We had a home visit from Matt today and cannot recommend him enough. My husband was suffering from hearing loss and pain in his ear which, upon investigation, was not caused through wax. I recently had a home visit from Matt at ShawScope and was very impressed with the service. It was completely painless, and Matt was informative each step of the way, always explaining what was going on. The video recording he does to show you the inside of your ears was great too, as it confirmed that my eardrums were still perforated, as suspected. Would highly recommend!

Matt was very professional. He took time to explain what he was going to do, how it would feel and sound. It wasn’t an easy blockage to clear but he took the time that was needed to get it cleared. I felt at ease and relaxed throughout.

I was a little anxious about having my ear wax removed, but after reading other reviews and the details on Shawscope’s website I felt a home visit was the way forward for me. I'd been having some tender ear ache and general discomfort in one of my ears and often found myself saying "pardon" during conversation. I contacted Matt from ShawScope through Facebook, who came out to my house with his gear and equipment. I found him to be kind, friendly and very informative with each step. Matt's scope (he showed me on his screen) that my right ear was full of wax, prescribed me some oil and returned a week later to complete the procedure. I was horrified at what came out, but Matt remained professional and gentle throughout the consultation, even sending me email reminders for my appointment. I will definitely use ShawScope again as well as refer his services to some of my clients.

My husband has problems with wax in his ears and since the Doctors surgery has stopped syringing ears he looked for an alternative. He was recommended ShawScope. Matt Shaw came to the house with all the equipment needed. He was very efficient and professional and explained clearly what he would do. The suctioning is recorded, and husband & myself were asked if he would like to see it, which we did. Amazing amount of wax came out but some was deep in the ear so was given more oil to put in and Matt came back a week later and cleared the residue. Hubby's hearing has improved - thank goodness! Will. definitely use ShawScope again
