I had our Shaws Ribchester 800 sink…
I had our Shaws Ribchester 800 sink fitted less than three years ago - after a significant delay due to a manufacturing backlog - and now one bowl is now getting repeatedly chipped. It’s very frustrating as this bowl is barely used, mainly for draining food items and washing down plates before they go in the dishwasher. Contacted customer service to no avail as they insist damage is “customer abuse” instead of manufacturing fault. Very disappointed and I will not purchase from or recommend Shaws as a result.
Edit - in response to Shaws - please provide the evidence form your technical team that this isn’t a manufacturing error. I have requested this directly and you then said you’d send a few free items out.

This firm goes above and beyond
I had some minor parts disappear from my sink grid and when asking if I could purchase some more, they offered to send me some spares, free of charge. Super thoughtful, professional and responsible. A great firm!
Unexpectedly great service!
I emailed the support team to enquire about a buying a replacement overflow cover instead of a full water kit which was all I could find online.
They replied very promptly and generously offered to send me one for free.
This is definitely not the kind of customer experience I've experienced of late and is really refreshing.
Many thanks to the team
Really bad management
Really bad management, quick staff turnover, lack of skull base, far too behind with health and safety, insecurity for lasting job. Building collapsing. Still using archaic practices
Contacted Shaws re a replacement plug…
Contacted Shaws re a replacement plug for a Belfast sink. They provide all the information I required in a speedy manner.
Excellent service from Shaws of Darwen
Further to my original one star review, I am pleased to advise that I was contacted by Matthew Foster, Shaws of Darwen Customer Services Manager. I am pleased for 2 reasons. Firstly Matthew arranged for my spare parts to be sent to be. More importantly, I am pleased to have been reassured that Shaws DOES take customer service seriously. Matthew dealt with my concerns in a pleasant and professional manner, explaining the reasons for their initial delay in replying to my query. Well done to Shaws and to Matthew for retrieving the situation. My one star disappointment is now modified to a five star recommendation !

I decided to clean my plug hole
I decided to clean my plug hole, big mistake, I broke something that had until that morning been totally fine! I spoke to Sandra on the phone, she was incredibly helpful and managed to locate a spare part and sent it out to me the same day. Brilliant service, thank you very much. Maxine
Beautiful product
Beautiful product, beautifully made and from a reputable company. I’ve ordered the Ribchester Sink, and 2x shaws of Darwen strainer plugs.
Customer service was so helpful with Sandra who helped me match the brass finish with the Perrin and Rowe 3 in 1 tap we purchased. Sandra made sure our strainer plugs arrived the very next day. They all look amazing together.
Repairing a sink chip (not a sinking ship!)
After being unable to locate what I needed on the Shaw’s website, nor finding a retailer in CA, I emailed Shaw’s sales department. I have owned two sinks for 13 years and they still look fabulous. They do, however, have a few chips, thanks to a careless teenage son. Sandra responded promptly and recommended I purchase 1 x Porc-A-Fix (AS-1) and 1 x Fill-A-Fix (PF-12) from Amazon. They will arrive shortly. She also provided best practices on how to apply them for optimum results. Thanks Sandra!

Sink Order
Was let down on a sink order, I then called Shaws and they delivered the sink within two days. Vicky was so helpful. Beautiful quality. Thank you
Beware CRAZING issues
We recently purchased a sink to compliment our new bespoke kitchen. The sink is beautiful and I have no issue with customer services who responded to all communication in a timely manner.
However, these sinks can develop crazing. My sink is just over a year old and has developed grey hairline cracks all over the surface of the sink, spoiling, in my mind the appearance of the sink and our newly fitted kitchen.
Shaws acknowledge this can be a manufacturing problem. My main concern and issue is nowhere on their website does it mention this could be an issue. Instead we are told the sinks, with care, will last a lifetime, which sadly is not the case for us.
In fairness, Shaws have offered us a replacement sink. We feel this is not the best solution for us as it will incur hiring a plumber to take out and install sinks. Removing and putting back quooker tap unit. Possible risk to quartz worktops due to sink not being standard sizes. Also we have new shutters on worktops which could be impacted.
More importantly, if we were to embark on this work there is no guarantee that the new sink won’t craze too!!
Please, if you do consider purchasing one of these sinks, they are lovely, but consider sink protectors and caution, particularly as we have researched different water temperatures, can cause crazing, resulting in a non perfect sink.
Great service
Great service. Recently bought two sinks for new kitchen/utility, when they came to be fitted there was a hairline crack in one. Dealt with Sandra who was really helpful and arranged delivery of replacement sink urgently so that there was no delay to fitting of work services.
Amazing Service!
Couldn't recommend this company more. I was let down by another company who ceased trading, after my kitchen was installed and made to fit a specific sink! No other suppliers were able to provide it, but Sandra was super helpful and managed to source the sink and arrange delivery within the next week.
Excellent Product, Shaws Bradshaw 1.5 Sink, and Service
Last year as part of our new kitchen we had a Shaws Bradshaw 1.5 Ceramic Sink fitted. Just LOVE the sink. Due to the offset divide it is fantastic to be able to fit the large AGA roasting tins/trays and other large serving dishes in the sink for ease of washing etc and still have the additional small bowl – a PERFECT solution in my opinion and after hours of searching I think you are the only company that does such a combination that size! It is also aesthetically very pleasing and tactile. I think my family and friends think I’m absolutely mad when I say they have to look at my sink!
We had huge hassle with the first company we ordered the sink from (NEVER use Jack and Jill Bathrooms), no sink delivered and had to get a refund through our credit card. BUT following this bad experience Shaws' friendly team went out of their way to help me find a new very reliable and friendly supplier, Bradford Bathroom Company; I have a feeling Shaws managed to get additional stock to them especially for me! The Bradford Bathroom Company went above and beyond too with their service as when I first rang them they didn’t have any stock, I didn’t leave them my details but on the same day they tracked down my number, got back to me saying they were getting stock in and from that point onwards their service and communication about my order was excellent and the sink arrived exactly when they said it would – perfect!
I had a problem with the waste baskets 'letting by' but following a quick email response from Sandra at Shaws she identified the issue and our plumber refitted the waste baskets and now totally watertight!
My only recommendation would be to have additional photos of the sink in a real setting on Shaws' website.
Excellent service
Sandra was very helpful and I was pleasantly surprised at the swift turnaround and response to my request for a replace screw for the basket strainer for my Shaws Kitchen Sink

We have several Shaws Belfast sinks and love them.
We live in NZ and have several Shaws Belfast sinks, purchased locally. Recently I noticed the chrome finish on one of the overflow covers was coming away. Unable to source just the overflow cover in NZ, I contacted Shaws in Lancashire. Sandra was extremely helpful and offered to post the cap free of charge. Just wow - amazing customer service.

Shocking aftercare!!!
Bought an 800 bow front butler sink from an authorised dealer.
Within a week the edge of the waste strainer basket went rusty!!
Contacted Shaws directly and eventually got a response asking what chemicals we had used in the sink.
Replied saying none as the sink was brand new!!
They replied saying contact the dealer for a replacement.
We did. Several times now!!! Still no replacement strainer despite the dealer saying that they have continued to ask Shaws for a replacement!
It has been MONTHS now and no sign of a replacement.
Absolutely shocking after sales service so if you can find similar sinks from another supplier I recommend you buy from them and not Shaws.
I would love to offer constructive advice but good customer service is surely obvious??!
UPDATE: I have now received the replacement thank you.

We bought a double sink from Shaws…
We bought a double sink from Shaws thinking that it would be hardwearing. Two years in normal use it has chipped and is quite dull. This is not a quality product worthy of the price tag. Customer service is abysmal. When we enquired about repair they could not have been less interested. Avoid
