Very poor communication and delayed refund

I used Ship2Man to forward a parcel which arrived damaged and was also left at my property without delivery being accepted when the parcel was clearly in a heavily damaged state.

I contacted them on 20th December regarding the issue. Despite not being under any obligation the original retailer agreed to replace the damaged product despite ship2man being liable. As such I only requested a refund for the carriage with ship2man and they agreed on 7th January and I provided my bank details as requested.
It is now 13th February and I have still not received the agreed refund, despite multiple follow-up emails. Communication has been extremely poor and I have not received meaningful responses.
Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this service.

Option to give no stars…

If there is an option to give no stars I would pick that one. Luckily for the ship2man company they have got one star after all.
I had a parcel (30 kg) on the pallet delivered to the ship2man UK depo. It was delivered to them by another shipping company with full tracking record including a photo. After a week of waiting and not receiving request for payment I have called UK depo and a person have told me they have never received any parcel of that description. I was surprised that 30 kg of anything on the pallet could have passed unnoticed. I have sent by an email the complete tracking record and I have got a phone call from someone that they have found my parcel after all and it be shipped straight away. I have told him that I still haven’t paid for their service and he has sent an invoice straight away which I have promptly paid.
Another week has passed and my package on the pallet hasn’t arrived. I have phoned again and a lady informed me that the package is on IOM and ‘the package will be delivered next day’. I was concerned about delivery time as I had a commitment and had to leave home the latest 4:40 pm. She was confident that the parcel will be delivered before then. Next day I have waited the whole morning and afternoon and finally I have phoned their office again at 4:00 pm to check whether they were going to make delivery that day at all. This time a man has answered the phone and, after he has put me ‘on hold’ so that he can check, he has told me that the parcel will not be delivered that day. I left home at 4:40 pm to be on time for my 5 pm commitment. When I have returned home I have found a notification of attempted delivery at 4:55 pm. It was stated on the notification card that they work from 7:30 am. The following morning I have phoned few times but no one was there to pick up the phone. On the end I have left a message. It was not before 8:15 am that finally a man called back. After my request to arrange a redelivery he has asked for a barcode on the delivery note I have received but there was no barcode on that attempted delivery note as note was issued from Manx Independent Carriers (Does it mean that ship2man outsource jobs to other delivery companies?). He asked for my details and said that he will phone me back. He has never phoned me back but my parcel arrived that day.
What to say after all of this!!! - If you have any other choice don’t choose this delivery company unless there is book or something small in question. It seems they can only lose 30 kg parcels…..

They eventually deliver the package.

They eventually deliver the package.. but otherwise, no updates on the status (or false updates). For example I have 3 packages, 2 of them are delivered now and it's the status is still showing "Departed UK Depot", while the one I haven't received is "Arrived at IOM Depot", completely misleading. Calling them for update gets picked up 1/6 times. The online quotation is nothing close to the receipt you receive (had an online quote of 30 pounds, ended up paying over 60 pounds). Will still use them as they have no competition but as soon as there is one..

Not a fan of their PayPal checkout but everything else fine

Found it difficult paying their invoice as their webite only accepts PayPal- not a problem if you have an active PayPal account but PayPal doesn't really like Guest purchases these days and tries to open a new account and if their system then recognises your email address, you quickly end up being taken round in circles. Ship2man were a bit reluctant to allow me to pay them direct, saying they wanted everything processed thru their portal- fine but then they need to have a choice of payment options. Their system seems to be tied into Evri's systems, who I am guessing have done some deal to exclusively use PayPal?

Other than that though everything good and pretty straightforward to use their service. Drop off at the UK depot was fine, update notifications were received at each stage, the delivery man followed my instructions for delivery and he phoned me direct to confirm delivery had been made, and I felt the price was reasonable given the weight of the parcel (two-man) and the amount of handling this must have required going through two warehouses to get here. Thanks guys!

Disappointing

After getting a quote online, and calling them to confirm the price quoted would be what I was charged - my invoice was £22 more than that! (I just checked their website - and it had quoted including VAT - so it’s not like I missed that) I paid it, as otherwise I don’t get my package, right?
I had also spent an extra £15 on insurance, as my item was over £50.
I had Zero communication about my parcel - had to call them every day for updates. And their tracker doesn’t update.
THEN I received my items today, and it was pretty clear that they had been stood on their end a lot (boxes were smooshed at the end), and the box that was right at the bottom of the pile had a small ding in it.
Looked inside and the flippin shelf was damaged!! No point sending it back - but I am seriously naffed off given how much I paid for service like that.
Pretty disappointing.
Won’t use them again.

Yes they deliver from UK

Yes they deliver from UK, but the question is when will the parcel be delivered. I have used their service multiple times and each time it takes 4-5 days after you have been charged a price of a next day delivery. For example i have been waiting for my parcel since 18th August and today is Friday I'm travelling tomorrow, so they are unreliable. Never ever again.
