I don't understand what the issue with…

I don't understand what the issue with Target and Shipt. They obviously don't play well together. I had my order cancelled 3 times. I tip over 20%. I live in a "city" where the other side of town is only 20 mins away. Do Target employees make Shipt shoppers so miserable that they won't pick up the order. Shipt is no help. Target wasted my money on the service. Huge disappointment.

Ordered from Meijer, order to be received between 4 PM and 5 PM received text message at 4:02p from my driver alerting me that they would be here shortly and to put my dogs away, at 5:06p I texted asking when they would be arriving within two minutes, my order was canceled. This was after watching her drive around my neighborhood the entire hour!

I'm not sure if I've ever received a…

I'm not sure if I've ever received a Target/Shipt order on time. My last two orders have been delayed until the next business day, and I'm ordering by 5PM. I have had to run home from work to pick up my orders the following day. You can call and reschedule, but that isn't reliable either. I don't think the service is really functional. I'm surprised Target wants to be associated with such a bad experience.

Horrible service with my second order…

Horrible service with my second order the order is supposed to be here by 11 but the shopper keeps picking up accepting more orders before delivering mine and it said I wouldn’t get my delivery ALMOST AN HOUR AFTER IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE TO MY HOUSE! The shopper didn’t even communicate with me about what the delay was! HORRIBLE SERVICE!!! I gave 2 stars because the first shopper actually communicated with me and was very courteous.

$20 mark up on an $18 item

Bait & switch.
1) Signed up to get groceries from our local grocery store (8 miles away) that Shipt showed on it's list prior to joining. Once I joined, the store was suddenly not on there.

2) Went to order from Petco, prices were not just "marked up" (similar to Instacart where they add an extra $.50 - .75), it was an entire $19 - 20! Carefresh Bedding for small animals at Petco was $18 & change, while Shipt showed same identical color, weight, brand (Carefresh, grey, 60L) for $38 & change! And I could go on...

Just feels like a bait and switch AND beyond excessive mark up. Trying to request of a prorated refund based on the above but doubtful.

DO NOT USE FOR GIFT CARDS!!! They do NOT come through! Calling doesn't work b/c no one knows what's going on when you call. I have spent 2.5 hours on the phone over 2 days trying to get a significant gift card and no one has been able to help me.

This service really sucks and so does BestBuy for using it. Ordered an item from BestBuy, delivery was scheduled for Saturday. Shopper selected at 0632am, watched all day, had a text saying Shopper might call or text for directions, no delivery. Sunday Shopper selected at 0630am, at noon I called BestBuy. She said they have until 6pm to delivery it, I asked what would happen if they didn't deliver again would BB get UPS, FedEx, even you USPS to delivery it, all she would say is they have until 6pm, truly she didn't care either. I will never order from BestBuy again. Bad on BB and bad on Shipt.

Loved the app but the deactivation was harsh and no warning

I was a shopper for Shipt not even for a month and the money was great I loved the app. I feel that the way they terminated my account was so sudden and not a first warning it was just a straight deactivation. I’ve used other apps and they would give you a warning or would prevent you from taking orders for 3 days at least. So if you work with this company be careful with canceling orders because you’ll wake up one day and you won’t be able to utilize the app to make money. This app was great for me because it was helping me get by on my bills due to being on medical leave and not receiving my normal pay. Even when you appeal and give the effort the team on Shipt doesn’t even give you the chance to get a second chance. The money is there but the guidelines is too harsh especially in a short period of time.

Unfair Appeals

I started working for Shipt last year and, I ended with great ratings and always did what was expected however, I fell slightly low on my acceptance rate and they deactivate me. This was my first time and yet, their decision was final, and this was before I even made payout. I was already skeptical of this company given they'll offer you a gig and send you distances to drop the order for very small pay. I'm not asking for reactivation but, they need to improve even with contacting. If I could give NO STARS, that would have been my choice

Shout is the worse company to work for. They disables my account and wont provide proof of their claims. How can I appeal something I do not know what I done wrong? This company needs to have a class action suit bright against them

Shipt doesn’t care about you that risk your life everyday they expect you to be PERFECT!! Life is not perfect.
It's like this company expects you to get ratings from customers that might have a different opinion of things. My overall rating was above 90% but because my last 50 orders on-time rating literally just fell a little under 90%. Then they want to send a email that they disable me. They want you to make an appeal but you can’t access your account to show proof. They don’t even show you proof through the emails they sent. I had funds in my account. Their response to your appeal is so basic and absurd. I loved shopping for Shipt, had several preferred who listed me as preferred shopper and now just disabled me just like that! No one is perfect is this crazy thing called life. I hope to see IF my money hits my account next week like they said!!!

By far the worst delivery company in the delivery market.

By far the worst delivery company in the business they sent an unexperienddriver to pickup/deliver my 6 month old daughters formula. The order was canceled due to that person's negligence, and that started a chain reaction of occurrences that has now made it to where I am out 35.49 cents until it is returned into my account and am unable to get my daughter food. It was the last of my money now I have to go to the streets to beg like a bum just to be able to afford to get her food. They shouldn't be trusted, and until Target Corporation cuts ties with this place they shouldn't be trusted either. I liked Target until a lit of their policies ended up screwing us over because of this situation too. DO NOT use Shipt if it is for anything that you absolutely need, because you probably won't get it and will be stuck holding the bag waiting 5 to 7 business days to get your money back, and for most of Americans that's a HUGE loss.

If I could give them a 0 I would. This service is absolutely ridiculous. I ordered stuff this morning, and my order has been delayed 3 times. It is now dinner time and customer service was no help. You can barely understand who you’re speaking to. I will not be using this agin.

Shipt Driver Review - Worst Experience Ever

If you're thinking about driving for Shipt, DO NOT DO IT. I've been a driver for over 10 years, and I thought this would be a great side gig since I love shopping at Target. However, Shipt has been nothing but a nightmare from start to finish.

First off, there’s very little training. They don’t tell you much—you're just supposed to figure it out as you go, which leads to a lot of mistakes that ultimately cost you. There’s absolutely NO training on what happens if you take their already late offers, and that’s where I ran into major problems. I thought I was helping by picking up orders that were already behind schedule. WRONG. Shipt punishes you for taking those orders, even though they’re the ones sitting there waiting for help. And they don’t tell you this upfront. They deactivated my account after I hadn’t even hit 50 orders. I was trying to do the right thing, and they punished me for it.

Then, there’s the app. On one of my orders, it wouldn’t mark as “delivered,” and I had to get a rep to fix it. She told me to send a "late forgiveness" email to some address, which I did for SIX different orders. Guess what? Not a single response. Not even a “sorry for the inconvenience.” And to add insult to injury, I later found out there’s a form in the app for this, but of course, no one told me about it. The reps didn’t know either—just clueless.

But that’s not even the worst part. I had an order where I had to unlock items in the paint and electronics sections, and there were no employees to help me. The handheld scanner wasn’t working at checkout, and I had to waste so much time trying to fix issues that were completely out of my control. When I finally tried to address it with an email, no response. The only thing I got was an automated email deactivating me, with no explanation until two days later. And when I appealed, they basically didn’t even read it. They just sent back the same generic “you were late” nonsense with no regard for the actual issues I faced.

And don’t get me started on tips. Shipt customers don’t tip, or at least they don’t seem to be encouraged to. A lot of my deliveries had zero tip, which is a reflection of the company’s culture. And when I did get a tip, it was a rare exception—like the last customer I delivered to, who tipped me $30 after I was an hour late! But that’s not normal. The fact that the company doesn’t do more to encourage tips is a huge issue.

I also drive for DoorDash, Uber, UberEats, Roadie, and Instacart, and I have nothing but high ratings with those companies. I highly recommend any of these over Shipt. The level of professionalism, support, and even basic communication is lightyears ahead of Shipt. If you’re considering signing up to drive for Shipt, save yourself the frustration. It’s honestly not me… it’s YOU, Shipt.

Oh, and when they deactivate you, you have no way of ensuring they pay you everything you're owed, because you can’t even get into the app to review your payment details! They cut you off completely, and you’re left with no recourse.

If I could rate Shipt a -5 out of 5, I absolutely would. It’s been a frustrating, disheartening experience from start to finish. In short, Shipt is a terrible company to drive for. They don’t provide adequate training, they penalize you for things they never made clear, and their customer service is non-existent. After this experience, I wouldn’t trust Shipt with anything, let alone my time and energy. Save yourself the trouble and STAY AWAY.
