Teeny Tiny Annika mules
I ordered the lug sole mules. Love the design, the look, the quality seems good. But they're so, so small, I can't get them on my feet. I ALWAYS wear a 40--in every other shoe, but I can't get my foot all the way in, my heel hangs off the back, and even if I could, the shoe is so narrow, I'm certain they would be too tight.
I live in the US and often purchase online, but I thought it was a safe enough purchase (mules tend to be more forgiving with no back heel) that I forked out $25 for shipping. When I contacted them to ask if this is a known issue, that they run small, should I order an exchange up a size? The response was bland: "They are of course supposed to be a bit tight as this is important for the shoes to sit right." Ummm. Okay.
Anyway, I decided to return them, only to find that it would cost another $25 in shipping. FOR SHOES I CAN'T WEAR. $50 for NOTHING.
I wrote again, to see if we might be able to negotiate something to make this experience less awful--hoping for a discount on my next purchase--something. This was the response:
"Unfortunately, we are not having any other options for you now, sorry. Next time we can try to find a retailer in the US so you can try the shoes before you buy them."
Forget it. Buy local, or from a US distributor. They need to figure this out if they want to sell their shoes outside of Denmark.

Terrible experience
I was shipped the wrong product, I've been writing to the company for more than 2 weeks for a return without a single reply. I live in Spain so shipping back to Denmark is expensive which I believe is the reason why they are ignoring me completely. Absolutely shameful. I wish I had believed the negative reviews.

Very poor quality, very poor service
Agree with other reviewers on here - very poor quality. Bought my Shoe the Bear boots from John Lewis. All the stitching started to come away after a few wears. Neither JL nor Shoe the Bear would help. Have now taken to a good old fashioned Cobblers to be re-stitched. He tells me he has fixed a lot of these boots. The thread they use is substandard apparently. Waste of money.

Top class service, bad quality shoes
I can't comment on the shoes as I was unlucky to get a pair where both soles came off after just a few times of use. The service however is top class. I only wore my shoes 5 times over the course of 6 months, and when I complained they immediately refunded them.
I've got two pairs of STB foot wear
I've got two pairs of STB foot wear; both trainers, one platform and one more sporty, but are fabulous and have worn well over the years. The sporty ones have shown a little wear but the platforms still look new, but they're 5 years old so the wear isn't unexpected! I've just ordered a pair of boots and can't wait. All of my purchases were from British shops so i haven't had the CS issues noted here, and they're all from sales and amazing quality.
Terrible quality for cost
I bought a pair of boots for £150 from house of fraser, these boots literally fell apart after 2 months, took them back to house of fraser to be told I had worn them too much and for that reason they would do nothing about it. Clearly it doesn't matter how much I have worn them and nor is it any of their business, I also asked what they meant by over wearing them but they couldn't explain this as I'm sure you can imagine. They advised me to contact shoe the bear but as per usual as I can see with their customer service being virtually non existent, shoe the bear advised me on a few occasions to take them back to house of fraser after obviously not reading my messages and understanding that I had already tried to return the items to house of fraser. If house of fraser is selling your product then it doesn't mean that they are responsible for the quality of the item, it's quite obvious that house of fraser didn't make the boots and they are only selling a sub standard item that is made by shoe the bear. My advice is to avoid this company and their products at all costs as I can assure you that it will end badly. I have many pictures of the boots and I'm pretty sure after I post this message shoe the bear will then clearly ask for the pictures even though I've already sent them to the company, they will as I can clearly see decide to try and help on this site but in reality they couldn't care less. I will post my review on every site possible and I will also post the pictures if it is possible, as I have already exhausted all avenues with the seller and the product makers. AVOID AVOID AVOID

Great design but horrific product quality
Ordered a pair of White Ethan sneakers from Shoe The Bear's website. Design is extremely nice, however the product quality is horrific. The soles of the sneakers started cracking and after three months they were useless, as water was coming in from every crack. Contacted STB's support (really nice service so thumbs up for that) and they provided me new pair of sneakers right away. Which led me to believe that they are aware of the quality issues? Have been wearing the new pair for a month and the soles are already cracking for these too. Never experienced such an issue with another brand. Either way - great design and support team, however due to the horrific product quality do not waste your money on STB sneakers. Sneakers from Zara will even last longer.

Avoid, Bad Customer Service
I ordered a pair of boots from this company and canceled my order within 2 hours by emailing their customer service. Customer service didn't respond to my email, and I had to chase them again. When they replied, I was informed my order is on the way but I can refuse the delivery which is fine. I asked the customer team to make sure the parcel needs to be delivered to my home address, not to the other place if I'm not around. I had the delivery last Friday, I didn't get notified about delivery time or date, and I wasn't around. The delivery company left the package with my neighbor so I couldn't refuse the delivery. Now I have been asked to pay for returning the boots that I had canceled in the first place, but the customer service team didn't give any solution at all. They just send the link for the return policy. In this case that is much easier if I keep the boots. This is the worst shopping and customer experience I have ever had, I shouldn't be getting charged for their mistake. I'm absolutely disappointed and I will never buy any shoes from this brand again. I would advise you to avoid this company, or just buy if you are 100% sure. They have no policy around canceling orders or returning it.

Not a UK company! Pay heavily to return your items!
the website domain for this shoe company is a .co.uk domain. I thought it was a UK company.
All the prices are in GBP
Nothing on the website states implicitly that this is not a UK based store.
meaning: easy delivery, easy returns.
NONE of this is true and honest.
The company are based in Denmark. I ordered my boots and they arrived 14 days later, in a damaged dirty box, the boots were then too big, and no returns label is included in the box.
therefore, I have to pay £40 to return a pair of sale boots. This is, as a UK consumer (who understands the annoyance and constraints about Brexit of course) is nothing short of a confidence trick. Having a website domain with .co.uk and GBP pricing makes consumers believe they are based in the UK.
Please do your research. NEVER buy from a company outside of the UK that does not provide free returns.

Horrible leather quality
I bought the RAMPLING - Smart lace-ups
4 weeks ago on Zalando. I took good care of them:
- I shoe shine them
- They're always in a shoe tree when not worn
After 4 weeks, the leather is wearing off very quickly and they look like I have been wearing those for 4 years !
Terrible terrible quality, the worst part is that they're not cheap either. Price point was £129.99, I would have expected good leather quality, I am terribly disappointed.
I can only advise you to stay away from this company.

4 months and already falling apart
I was so pleased with my purchase of Shoe The Bear biker boots, which is bought from John Lewis. 4 months later the stitching between the sole and boot has come apart - an obvious fault. Contacted Shoe The Bear and they are not interested as I didn't buy direct, I contacted John Lewis and they won't do anything as it was not within 30 days. Shoe The Bear need to take responsibility as the manufacturer but they will not.
I would have thought a pair of £140 boots would last longer than 4 months and Shoe The Bear could not give a damn, not even an apology.
If they cared about their product they would do something considering the product is faulty. Extremely poor product quality and customer service.

My boots took 7 days to arrive when I should have had them in 2-4 I returned them as they were too small although correct size was ordered. I had to pay £14 shipping and quite frankly it’s outrageous so don’t order from them unless you’re absolutely
sure they will fit. I will not be ordering again unless they cover the cost of returns. They should be renamed ‘Bad news bears’
I love all your shoes:)
"Contact customer service prior to …
"Contact customer service prior to return", they say. Tried to, but only got an answering machine. Return if you live outside Denmark cost a fortune, and don't be sure you get a refund. I still haven't! Will not purchase from this shop again. Too bad actually, as they have nice shoes, but nevertheless not worth it if they don't fit, and you end up paying for both the shoes returned, and the expensive return -all for nothing!
DO NOT TRUST SHOE THE BEAR AND SAFESSLBILLPAY.COM
On March 15, 2017 I bought a pair of boots through Shoe the Bear homepage. After waiting for more than 1 month, I contacted Shoe the Bear to ghet an explanation and they informed me that they had already shipped my order and that I could follow the shipment. Unfortunately, the link did not work and I contacted them again asking for an expected delivery date. After another 8 mail correspondence and 2-3 weeks passed, I was told that the supplier unfortunately had exchanged 2 orders. So how come I had not received any boots, not even the wrtong ones? Therefore, I contacted them again to ask for an explanation and, at the same time, asked them to refund the amount if they could not confirm a delivery date. As speaking the correspondence is with Safesslbillpay.com, who doesn´t seem to make a refund. Now we have May 16, 2017 more than 2 months after placing the order! What company sends out a survey to be compared to be a reliable company giving good service??? I have never been dealing with such an unreliable company - never place an order with SHOE THE BEAR or trust SAFESSLBILLPAY.COM
