it is not easy to judge as I have never used any other TDS meter so have nothing to compare it to but.i note that it does tend to signify it is time to change the filter when I taste no difference. However I do have parosmia (distorted smell and taste) post-Covid so perhaps not the best person to judge this. The first meter I had last 4 years.
