Very disappointing experience
I bought this Lenovo laptop about 7 months ago, and it has had restart and freezing issues from the beginning. About a month ago, I sent it in for repair. Lenovo replaced the motherboard, reinstalled Windows, and updated the drivers, but the problem remained.
As soon as I got it back, the screen went black and froze twice. After spending hours reinstalling all my work programs, the same problem continued. It still freezes during normal use and when I use programs like Power BI and SQL Server.
What is even more frustrating is Lenovo’s customer service. Their only solution is to send it back for repair again. I already did that once, and it didn’t fix anything. I feel like they are more focused on closing the case than actually helping the customer.
I bought a brand-new laptop because I needed a reliable computer for work. Instead, I’ve lost work time, data, money, and a lot of energy dealing with this issue.
Unfortunately, based on this experience, I would not buy this laptop again, and I would not recommend Lenovo either. I expected much better customer service and support from a company like Lenovo.
FRAUD COMAPNY WANT FULL REFUND
I purchased Lenovo Ideapad Slim 5 Gen 10 Ryzen 7 735HS 16GB 512GB laptop for rupees 63,526 with 3 years onsite premium care ADP warranty. Within 5 months, multiple issues arose with the laptop.
I sent 1,000 emails to all Lenovo officials, and even within one month, I reported the issues but was denied a refund. I want my full refund immediately. My laptop serial number is PW0LLC7E. I request that my full hard-earned money be refunded immediately, fully, without any deduction.
In every visit, more defects were found by the visiting engineer. Worst service.
I want a full refund immediately.
Slow speed hanging freezing red light issues all still facing
User's recommendation: FRAUD COMPANY WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE NEVER BUY LENOVO I AM ALREADY REGRETTING.
THEY DENIED MY REFUND ONLY SAID JUST REPAIR I WANT FULL REFUND ONLY NOW NO MORE REPLACEMENT OR REPAIRS ONLY WANT FULL REFUND IMMEDIATELY WITHOUT ANY DEDUCTIONS

I can't reach Lenovo payment team for 5 days. I sent them money through bank transfer. There is no confirmation on the website. So, no money and no laptop...

The WORST possible purchase i have ever made
A mouse without USB.
Ordered a mouse and a pair of speakers. The mouse came in without a usb. How is it possible for them to miss it? LOL. Returned. The sad part is the refund or replacement takes a very long time, very long.
I sent my Legion Go S in for Warranty…
I sent my Legion Go S in for Warranty repair. I got it back the first time only partially fixed, and had to send it down again two days later. Supposedly the second time they found a "bio hazard" so now they will neither repair or replace my device. This is totally unacceptable to me this is more of a ploy to not fix it and to force me to buy a new one.
Of course for a company like Lenovo they are more concerned with the bottom line and shareholders. Who cares about the consumer when the profit margin is there. I WILL NEVER purchase another Lenovo product again.
This company is not worth my time or money!! No matter how insignificant this may be. I AM however telling my family and friends never buy Lenovo ever again.
Fleet evaluation: ThinkPad T16 Gen 5 AMD camera failed on day 3
**Fleet evaluation: ThinkPad T16 Gen 5 AMD camera failed on day 3**
I’m evaluating a **Lenovo ThinkPad T16 Gen 5 AMD (21WXCTO1WW, 32GB/1TB)** as a possible production laptop platform. (350 Unit Deploy)
I’m a systems integrator and have deployed **10,000+ systems over roughly 20 years**, mostly Intel-based Lenovo business systems. Lenovo’s ThinkPad reliability has historically been excellent for us.
This AMD evaluation unit looked great initially: good performance, upgraded brighter display, clean Device Manager, diagnostics and benchmarks all good.
Then on **day 3**, before I had even used the camera, the integrated webcam disappeared.
Device Manager showed:
**Unknown USB Device — Device Descriptor Request Failed, Code 43**
Windows Camera could not detect a camera.
Troubleshooting:
* Camera enabled in BIOS
* Disable Integrated Camera in BIOS → Code 43 device disappears
* Re-enable camera → Code 43 returns
* Restored Lenovo’s original factory image from Acronis backup → same failure
* Full cold power reset → same failure
At that point this was clearly not my Windows install or a missing driver. The failure followed the integrated camera hardware path.
For us, that matters. We support legal environments where **Zoom and remote court appearances are mandatory**, so a dead camera is a production-impacting failure.
I returned the system for a full refund and ordered one more identical AMD unit for testing.
To be clear, I am **not blaming AMD for the camera failure**. Lenovo built and QC’d the finished system.
But after 15+ years of excellent ThinkPad experience (Intel Version), having one of my first serious AMD ThinkPad evaluation units suffer a hardware failure in 3 days is a major strike against considering this platform for a **100+ endpoint rollout**.
The replacement gets another chance.
But right now, Lenovo’s AMD platform has a lot of trust to earn.
I would give ZEOR if i could 😂

We recieved a computer the wifi card dropped connection over and over again tech support said send it back. It’s been returned for a month… no refund customer support is horrible they keep giving us the 24-48hr runaround. Our “case manager is terrible doesn’t do anything and just spouts the same bs. Don’t buy a Lenovo computer!!!
Premium Name, Budget Execution: Brand-New ThinkPad E14 Gen 7 Fails Out of the Box
I purchased a brand-new Lenovo ThinkPad E14 Gen 7 expecting the legendary structural engineering and rock-solid reliability that the ThinkPad brand has built its reputation on for decades. As a researcher, I need a dependable machine for daily computational prototyping and writing. Instead, this laptop has delivered nothing but frustration from week one.
The Issue: Complete Mechanical and Hardware Failure. Within just days of unboxing the laptop, the lid open/close mechanism began heavily malfunctioning. The hardware fails to register when the lid opens, leaving me staring at a completely black, unresponsive screen even after attempting full system diagnostics, Lenovo Vantage updates, and standard driver troubleshooting. A laptop's fundamental job is to wake up and work when you open it. This machine fails at step one.
Service and Depot Nightmare: What makes this experience unacceptable is the service failure. Lenovo dispatched an on-site technician for a repair, but the intervention completely failed to resolve the issue. The laptop has now been sent away to a repair depot for further service. When you spend a significant amount of hard-earned money on a brand-new premium brand, you expect a pristine tool, not a compromised machine that spends its first month of ownership in a repair facility. Past experiences have taught me that when a laptop suffers from fundamental structural or motherboard-level defects right out of the box, the issues rarely stop.
Verdict: A Devastating Loss of Brand Trust.
The ThinkPad line used to represent elite business-grade durability. Seeing a next-generation model fail immediately due to a faulty lid mechanism and inadequate quality control is incredibly disappointing. My confidence and trust in Lenovo as a reliable laptop manufacturer have completely bottomed out.
If you are a professional, academic, or researcher who absolutely cannot afford system downtime, I strongly advise looking elsewhere. Avoid the ThinkPad E-series and look toward brands that prioritize strict quality assurance over cutting corners.
Blatantly false delivery advertising on website…
Blatantly false advertising on website for order fulfillment and delivery. Product advertised as "get it by [9d from order]". Product not even shipped by that date, and I discovered order fulfillment comes from China. Contacting customer service when order did not arrive on quoted dated resulted in promise to expedite. A week later, still not even shipped. Customer support will not commit to how long it will take, and when pressed, quoted "1-4 weeks". This means it may not arrive until almost 5 weeks after the promised date. Appallingly bad business practice and service. Would never buy anything from them again.
If you're dealing with a return
If you're dealing with a return, I would strongly recommend submitting a credit card dispute rather than continuing to waste your time dealing with this company. The level of customer service and the way they handle returns and refunds are completely unacceptable.
I will never purchase from this company again. What should be a simple return can quickly turn into a frustrating nightmare. Even something as basic as cancelling an item seems to be beyond their ability to handle properly. Save yourself the hassle and take your business elsewhere.
ThinkPad L14 NOT for Business
I have been using a Lenovo ThinkPad L14 (Ryzen Pro 7, 16GB RAM) as my primary business laptop and, unfortunately, it has been a significant step backwards compared to the older ThinkPad T490 it replaced.
For a modern business laptop, performance is disappointing. Despite having a Ryzen Pro 7 processor and 16GB of RAM, CPU and memory utilisation frequently sit around 90%, even during normal working activities. In my role, I regularly have multiple Office documents, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint sites and Edge browser windows open simultaneously. The laptop often becomes sluggish, applications freeze, switching between windows is slow, and overall productivity is impacted.
The display is another disappointment. While the 16:10 "square" screen is often promoted as providing more vertical workspace, in practice this benefit is largely lost when using the recommended 150% scaling. The effective working area is not significantly greater than previous ThinkPad models, and the aspect ratio does not align particularly well with standard external monitors used in a typical office environment. Moving between the laptop display and connected monitors can feel inconsistent and awkward.
The physical design has also regressed compared to previous ThinkPads. The laptop feels bulky and less refined than the T490. The power button is positioned on the edge of the chassis and is easily pressed accidentally when picking up or moving the laptop. This is a poor ergonomic design choice. In addition, frequently used keyboard functions have become less intuitive. For example, Print Screen now requires Fn + F9, which adds unnecessary friction to a task many business users perform multiple times per day.
What is most disappointing is that this laptop is replacing devices that delivered a better user experience years ago. A newer business laptop should improve productivity, not hinder it.
Overall verdict: The ThinkPad L14 may be adequate for light office use, but based on my experience it should not be utilised as a business laptop in a highly productive, multitasking business environment. Users who regularly work with multiple applications, large documents, extensive browser sessions and collaboration tools would be better served by a higher-tier ThinkPad model such as the T-series.
Overall Rating: 4/10.
Defective hinges on Lenovo IdeaPad Laptops.
I purchased a new Lenovo IdeaPad 5 2-in-1 Laptop in May 2026. It is now only 3 month old and used only about 6 weeks since I was clearing my previous laptop. About a week ago, I opened and closed the laptop and heard a small pop. I have not dropped the computer nor done anything rough with it. Since then, each day, the left hinge has been pulling at the plastic bevel of the cover/monitor. Today, a metal plate next to the hinge popped out and cracked the screen at the bottom. I contacted the seller who said this was a warranty problem. I contacted Lenovo said this is an accident (blaming me for their product defect). They want me to pay for a repair. Instead, I have ordered an HP laptop. The cover can't be closed on this Lenovo laptop. I didn't know that the hinges are a common problem on Lenovo IdeaPads or I would not have purchased this expensive laptop. I will never purchase another Lenovo product because of the poor quality and the poor customer service.
ThinkPad P16 Gen 2: On-Site Premier Support Denied After Technician Damaged Device
Bought a high-end ThinkPad P16 Gen 2 with paid 3-Year Premier On-Site Support. After system crashes occurred, log files pointed to RAM/motherboard failure.
First Visit: The service technician attributed crashes to internal dust, cleaned the fan, and left without replacing the parts he had brought. Crashes persisted.
Second Visit: A new motherboard and heatsink were installed. Immediately afterward, the battery failed to charge. The technician advised me to run the system without the battery and left.
Total Failure: Less than an hour later, the laptop made a popping noise, emitted a burnt smell, and turned off permanently.
The Catch: Lenovo now refuses to honor Premier On-Site Warranty, demanding I ship or hand-deliver the device to a repair center. However, earlier in the ticket, Lenovo support explicitly instructed me to disable BitLocker for diagnostics. Handing over an unencrypted SSD with sensitive data is impossible.
Lenovo's own technical service rendered the machine completely non-functional, and they are now denying the on-site service I paid for. Currently escalating without a reasonable solution.
Avoid Lenovo LOQ 15IRX9 (83DV01ABIN)
Avoid Lenovo LOQ 15IRX9 (83DV01ABIN)! Defective Laptop & Nightmare Support
Do not buy this laptop! I bought the Lenovo LOQ for gaming and video editing, but it has been a complete nightmare. I only use it for basic educational work like reading and writing, yet the battery completely drains within 1 hour and 20 to 50 minutes. If it dies this fast just opening a text document, it is entirely useless for video editing. To make matters worse, within just 20 days, the touchpad completely stopped working, and the system constantly hangs and freezes. Lenovo’s customer support is a joke. They refuse to replace this defective unit due to a rigid 7-day policy. When I demanded to speak to a manager, agents lied saying no one was available, never called back, and instead let rude representatives call me just to argue. Now they want to take the laptop for another 7 days to "repair" it, leaving me with no machine for my studies. Buying this has been a massive headache. Avoid Lenovo at all costs! Product Configuration: Lenovo LOQ 15IRX9 (Model: 83DV01ABIN - Core i5 / 16GB RAM / 512GB SSD)

I will never buy another Lenovo laptop…
I will never buy another Lenovo laptop again. No idea why it had a good rating. In only a few months the keys started to wear away on the surface to where you couldn't read what the letter was. Now, only a few years later, the keys are actually cracking in half. Ridiculous to spend so much money and have to replace in less than 5 years. Not to mention the environmental effect.
I purchased a $3,000+ Lenovo ThinkPad…
I purchased a $3,000+ Lenovo ThinkPad X1 2-in-1 for my business expecting a premium business laptop and premium support.
Unfortunately, it only worked properly for a few months before developing serious issues. It now repeatedly freezes/restarts and will not reliably stay on.
What has been even more disappointing is the service recovery. Lenovo Support told me my only option is to send the laptop in for repair, with an estimated 7–10 business days of total turnaround. There was no expedited option, replacement, loaner, or meaningful workaround offered for a business-critical computer.
I also tried to leave a product review directly on Lenovo's website and discovered that, apparently, Lenovo does not provide a way to submit reviews for SOME products, including the product page I was trying to review. Other Lenovo products do appear to have review functionality, which makes this even more frustrating.
A $3,000+ business laptop failing after only a few months is bad enough. Being without it for a week or more with no alternative offered makes the experience significantly worse.
Based on both the product reliability and the support experience, I would be very hesitant to purchase another premium Lenovo ThinkPad.
