Boxed basmati with bugs in it
After opening a purchase I made during October 2023, I found bugs in my multi shipment of boxed rice. I found an e-mail address they provided customers on Twitter to get some form of support.
Apologies were given and they said it would be investigated.
This was escalated to a technical team and I was told via PDF that it was an isolated incident, there won't be any issues with any other orders. The stock also being from November 2022 was outside their time frame to keep an eye on the product quality.
A replacement was sent of a product that cost less than what I paid for, despite saying previously I wanted a like for like replacement.
Another replacement was sent and it was the correct product, noting that this was almost a month after I reported the issue. When I opened the shipper I could see a squashed bug on the bottom of the box.
Not again I thought. So I opened a box of rice and tipped it out into a bowl, and again we had bugs in the rice.
I've chased this up again as of Friday last week and still waiting for an update from the team on this. I just want a refund at this point, because they aren't going to send a shipment without bugs in it at this rate.
I just want my money back, and at this point in time won't be ordering from their web store again. I only did this as local supermarkets no longer had stock of their products.
