DHL poor service delivery
The forwarder DHL, didn't verify if I was at home when they tried to deliver the parcel. As I'm working from home, I'was available the entire day to receive it. However, the delivered assumed that nobody was present and he brought the parcel to a ParcelShop without any notification.
After several phone calls with DHL customer service center, I have finally found where the parcel is but I need now to go the ParcelShop and pick it up.
My rating only reflects the poor service experience with the forwarder.

SCAM: DO NOT USE IF FROM UK
Do not use this firm if you are from the UK.
PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE YOU BUY
Bought a pair of trainers for £180, including EUR 15 of postage. Was landed with an £84 customs fee/VAT.
Their customer service thought this was fine and that I should have known about it / expected it.
This is despite:
1. their terms clearly saying that prices "include VAT"
2. their website checkout otherwise being silent either way (name one consumer website that supplies goods to customers without paying VAT...); and
3. the fact that any import taxes calculator suggests they have included a lot of customs charges incorrectly (presumably a mislabelled form on their end).
No obvious recourse - I've tried customer service and have been dismissed. I'm massively out of pocket. They won't do anything. Disgusted.

I am happy to answer your assessment. You order from a German shop to England. Orders from a third country do not include VAT. This must be paid upon entry into the respective country. In addition, you will be informed in our shop that customs duties are not included in the shipping costs. Shipping costs have nothing to do with customs costs. How high the customs costs are is calculated in the country to which the delivery is made. You can find this information in our shop.
I ask you to delete the review as it is not our fault for the additional costs you overlooked.
