I made a purchase from the Shopgoodwill…

I made a purchase from the Shopgoodwill North Florida online site. I received the order with very little wrapping around a fragile item that was placed in the bottom of the box with other heavier items tossed in on top. Of course the item arrived broken. I immediately contacted them to ask for them to initiate a refund with FedEx. I sent four pictures showing the undamaged box, the broken item in the small amount of bubble wrap that surrounded the item, and close ups of the damaged item showing the item was not reparable. I have sent 6 messages since with no response since their original request to send pictures. Not a good company to purchase from…very poor customer service, and no common sense when shipping items. Very high shipping costs for weight and size of items.

Overcharging for shipping

While my experience has been mostly positive so far, the exorbitant shipping costs have been ridiculous, especially considering items that I have paid to be shipped via FedEx and then they ship via USPS. I have also noticed more than once that I will be outbid at the last moment on an item that I am closely tracking because the app glitches. I understand that it happens and it could be a coincidence but it seems to happen on items that would have a high resell ROI.

Goodwill is neither good or of will

Goodwill is neither good or of will. This is a classic listless bureaucracy full of dopes and ding dongs. Every facet of the operation is beyond repair. Choose to purchase somewhere else or go to your local store and experience these Klingons head on and leave your brain home.

I purchased what was described as a vintage gold and silver French style necklace and matching earrings

I purchased what was described as a vintage silver and gold earrings and necklace. I paid an embarrassing amount of money. When they arrived I wore the earrings and they immediately broke. I took them to a jewelery to repair and was told it was cheap costume jewelry made from pot metal and gold paint. I contacted Goodwill and they sincerely apologized
I was to send them the evaluation from the jeweler. It took sometime to repair but I followed up with the receipts and the letter from the jeweler to Goodwill. I continued to contact them until I got a reply. I was told it was their policy that items must be returned in seven days. This discussion is closed.
I did not see one statement saying that. Frustration grew when all my conversation had to be online. I finally called Goodwill of Cleveland who had put the falsely described jewelry on the auction site. The rep was very kind and directed my call to the director. I left a message but never received a call back.
I know many people that shop at goodwill and every chance I get I tell them not to waste their money on this so called "charity"

If I could it would be ZERO.

If I could it would be ZERO.
Goodwill advertises photographs instead of truthfully stating they are reprints.
They steal your money that way.
These rookies have no idea how to describe or curate a photographic art object
Inept, art uneducated, and deceptive.

I as a long time customer, and pro photographer and collector, I iwll never again do anything w/them. Buyer beware!!

Not worth it

Poor photo quality, giltchy website, most bids cost on pacific time, item quality ‘as is’, $2-3 handling + tax from area sold + shipping means you’re going to pay approximately $15-$20 over the cost of the item to get it. Not worth it. Purchased a few things to try the service, never again.

I have had great experiences from…shopgoodwill.com

I have had great experiences from buying on shopgoodwill.com .if you see something you like research the value of the item along with the handling and shipping fee and if it is worth it to you then buy it if not then don’t. I have made a lot of profit from reselling items that I have gotten off their sight. If it arrives broken they have always refunded all my cost to me.

Get your act together Goodwill.com

Get your act together Goodwill.com. It’s not that hard to assign one corporate person to coordinate the policies amongst the various stores to offer fair shipping prices (many are ridiculously overestimated today), reasonable handling fees, fast shipping, and accurate product descriptions (with highlight pictures of product damage and defects). You need a return policy that doesn’t cost your customers anything (incorporate that charge in your handling fees). I’ve probably purchased 100 items from your online store and had 5 bad experiences. Goodwill Industries made $7.6 billion on donations. I believe that money supports the mission of the organization, but you have to fix your 1 star rating!!

Disgusting and untruthful

I bought two items at shop Goodwill. One was a set of vintage linens like a tea, towels, handkerchiefs and little napkins. I wouldn’t have paid a dollar for this set, which wasn’t a set. I did not expect items that had biological stains on them. And they were not even all vintage. Disgusting. The second item was supposed to be a vintage tin box that had an embossed scene on top of it. It was a cheap flimsy cookie canister. That ended up costing me over $30 and was supposed to be a gift. It was maybe a two dollar item. I was taking advantage of and I will not forget it. I will never purchase from them again.

Goodwill should be ashamed of…

Goodwill should be ashamed of themselves, and so should those of you catering to their online ridicule. Goodwill is supposed to help THEIR COMMUNITY! NOT take all the expensive things, people like me donate, and sell them for inflated prices, and make money on the shipping as well! Then leave scattered garbage on the Shelves for those who need the stuff you're stealing from them! These items are supposed to go on the Shelves of the community they were donated to! Now, all they're is ebay with no morals! I donated thousands of dollars in toys, and it makes me sick that they went up for auctions, basically stolen from the little children who can't afford auctions! Stolen from shelves for People who need help! They should have had those toys new in the box! NOT all of you bidding on them for profit! I had a toy collection worth thousands and gave them believing it was going to children who would REALLY appreciate them because they were new in the box Especially for THEM! NOT TO LINE THE CEO OF GOODWILLS POCKETS, and whomever else is involved in this backstabbing endeavor. And you KNOW Who you are! From CEO to those of you running it all. YOU should know better! Good will?? More like Good kill. Kill another corner of American society that started with a heart and jumped on the acquisitive train with all the other spineless traitors who no longer care about helping anyone but themselves. What goes around comes ALL THE WAY BACK AROUND! Karma will catch up, and there will be no auction counting down the hours to make your bid! You already put yours in long long ago. When society knocks YOU off your pedestal and kicks YOU down the spiral to the end, just remember how you got there, and who will not be there to catch YOU when YOU fall.

Biggest problem is Goodwill's…

Biggest problem is Goodwill's description of the items they listed for auction is not accurate. When I say "not accurate" I mean it's overstated in condition, measurements, sizes, damage that's not visible in photos and at times the item doesn't work. I quit buying from Goodwill because these problems were on almost every order. And what made it worse was the "Handling and Shipping Fees" added were way over the top in price.

Buyer BEWARE! True scammers!

Buyer BEWARE!

The biggest scammers running this operation. There are things that are brand new that include free shipping and half the price when purchased directly from the manufacturer. They sell broken items claiming they “turned on”. I bought a wine cooler, rented a truck and payed someone to help me lift it into the bed all to find out the compressor was shot. Lost over 300 dollars because of a post that said “item turns on”. But won’t take the item back because it’s a “donation”

This website sells everything from fake and broke items at outrageous prices. Their shipping prices are a complete joke as well. Also they have canceled numerous winning bids because they didn’t make a profit. Total sham business, there is nothing Good about shopgoodwill.com

Complete schemers and scam artists working to steal your money.

What I bought was $14.99,all done and said I paid around $50. But I was excited to get it. A Le Sportsac purse, expensive brand, good quality brand. What I got was the cheapest material, the worst sewing job. All the material is frayed, it's terrible.

Goodwill is really getting silly

Goodwill is really getting silly. The shipping costs are getting out of hand. They wanted $23.00 shipping on a small 2 pound package. The Goodwill listing that I was going to bid on is 65 miles from me. I am a reseller, I could ship the same package to them from here for under $8.00.

Good at being very BADWILL

I had won a bid on a 9+lb box of jewelry with the Central and Northern Arizona Goodwill Store. The title stated the jewelry box contained bohemian, fashion, jewelry with some DESIGNER names. I did some research as to what the DESIGNER word meant in this regard and what I received was anything but that. I expected some if not most, of the jewelry to be fashion. I did not expect that the ONLY DESIGNER name in my box would be a few Claire's pieces, if Claire's is even considered DESIGNER. I feel scammed and shafted. This is not how a company who receives donations should do business. Shame on Goodwill for their deceiving name, nature, and taking advantage of consumers like me for their big wig, monetary gain. BADWILL corporate should be imprisoned as their lack of integrity and overall fillation of greed, should be a crime.

Stop trying to f... your customers

Stop trying to f.... your customers over by attempting to add advertisement to the search function. Maybe the company needs to consider some salary cuts as opposed to exploiting customers.
Goodwill Industries International (National Level): In 2023, President and CEO Steven C. Preston earned $600,308, while the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Marketing Officer made over $313,000. Wow. And you feel you're helping communities?? More like raping them.

Outrageous shipping charges and beyond excessive delays in shipping. Totally unacceptable and they are fortunate that they don’t have their own review sites for individual GW selling sites. That would most definitely affect a potential buyer’s decision to bid on their site. What a farce. BTW, I have purchased four times (glutton for punishment? No, they just had what I wanted, but that doesn’t excuse their pi$$poor service and excessive shipping/handling charges!).

Selling items that do not work

When electrical items are listed as unable to test this means the item does not power up. You can't tell me the store does not have power to test. How are they listing the item on the website if they have no way to test? Sounds like they are trying to drive up the bid the product does not work.
