The purchase went fine until Shop Solar let me know that they could not supply the inverter/charger I bought. They upcharged me $500 to get an inverter from the same manufacturer but a newer model. The replacement inverter is advertised all over the place for what I paid for ghe original inverter. I think they should have just shipped the replacement. The mistake was theirs but I had to pay for it.

They also shipped a panel disconnect set up for two strings when I need to run one string. They would not exchange the disconnect even though the replacement was less expensive for them. I had to buy another disconnect and scrap the original.

So these guys will not provide any after purchase satisfaction in my experience,

Ordered on november 21, 2 battery heaters, november 24 was told order was processed and here on december 19 order states its unfulfilled. Beginning to think this is a scam and i just lost $90. Found same thing elsewhere alittle more expensive but i bet i would have had it here 3 weeks ago. Id even understand if someone would have reached out and said the stuff is on back order and ask what id lile to do but no answers, got 1 email that said it was processed and thats it

I’m finding my experience as confusing. I think we as professionals (myself included) have to remember that most people don’t have the specialized knowledge as someone else does …think “Window for Dummies..” remember to that book? Well I need Solar Power Station for dummies and I’m not getting that. Just “here’s the packages..pick one…” that doesn’t work for me. Just wanted someone to help tailor my needs with the right equipment for the right price. Not getting it here.

I am disappointed that it takes 2 months to get delivery. you should be able to do better.

The prices might be slightly higher than others, and you maybe faraway so shipping might take its normal time from their warehouse, but my long term experience with them and the depth of their support, and even their refund policy which went above and beyond when I was cheated by a scam solar installer go way beyond the support of much bigger companies even in the enterprise.

These are good people who truly care about their customers and if you are patient, they always help in any/ every situation. Just the amount of back and forth I did getting to understand what to buy and how to use it, I can’t imagine getting from anyone else.

Contrast this with my local solar shop which went up in smoke a few years ago stranding everyone who got equipment from them upto a week before who had purchased equipment from them.

I would not go with anyone else for solar equipment purchases now. Considering the cost, you need to buy the equipment from someone you can trust and this vendor has never disappointed me so far.

Last year there was this moment when my system generated more than 100% of its capability and I was excitedly asking my solar electrician how this is even possible. Turns out that when you get say 400 watt panels, the actual output could be slightly lower or higher. So, on this perfect day the system actually produced more than 100% !!! What more can indicate the quality of the panels and the components?

At this point, they are friends, and I know many of them well.

My card was charged immediately but they still had not shipped after a week and a half. Tried calling but their customer service could not tell me if the order was even in stock or had shipped without notification. They claimed there was nobody else to talk to that could provide more information so he "put in a ticket". We all know where those go. I found the mounts I had ordered in stock elsewhere and cancelled the order with Shop Solar.

I consulted with your team several times before making a final decision. They were very professional and helpful.
