Strange appliance. Basics like the egg tray that is held up by sellotape. 😂😂😂😭😭😭😭. I've broken numerous eggs.

A mixed experience with SIA Cooker Hoods
A mixed experience. My purchase in 2025 was with 60 cm Curved glass Cooker Hood in stainless steel. The sheet metal rattles so much, you hear it when you sneeze! Things don't fit together well. If chimney is collapsed to it shortest length, this will add strength and reduced the rattle. The longer it is, the more it rattles. Alignment of holes and the chimney is poor too. The cooker hood has integrated support brackets which are not perfectly aligned. Problems arise when you try to screw things together and aim for a vertical chimney stack. Be prepared to spend a lot of time drilling in sheet stainless steel and position on wall using trial and error. I'm still working on mine in April 2026. The cooker hood might look horizontal but the chimney stack looks wonky. Next job is to shorten the stack and re-bracket to the wall to get a neater and quieter result. Next: The chimney stack rattles on top the hood itself - because holes need to lign up and capable of being screwed together, plus one other feature that is lacking - plastic gater. My friends SIA cooker hood is powder-coated black and has multi-coloured switched lighting with extra button, has important black plastic gater that sits inside the hood and takes up slack into which the chimney stack sits - snug fit, not rattles. The powder coating will help prevent rattles too and there is no problem with hole alignment because it is built different. You would expect the two Cooker hoods to be build the same because they look the same reason I purchased mine. Buy the black coated version and avoid the stainless steel version.
Had a SIA Tall Larder Fridge for about…
Had a SIA Tall Larder Fridge for about 7 months from brand new, when one evening when i opened it the door fell off and missed my foot by less than an inch! And believe me, it's a heavy door. Had to tape the whole thing up until i could get some support from SIA. Which never came.
I wrote to them three times through their website. Nothing. I called the company directly (use the SIA Appliances website, not the pointless Ship It Appliance one) and the lady there advised that hinges and brackets don't fall under the scope of what's covered under warranty (?!) and then said she couldn't find any trace of my emails (of course not, eh) so she took my address and said she'd email right back so i could reply with pics of the issue. She didn't email me.
We bodged the fridge door. Had no choice in a house of six people. So it's kind of working at the moment. But for how long? We spent a week trying to get someone from SIA to advise us what to do. But no one stepped up. Everyone simply hid themselves away.
Terrible after sales. Really appalling service. Never again SIA. Never again. Anyone reading this: you have been warned.
Gas hobs look amazing
Our two burner gas hobs look amazing in our new kitchen. Easy to fit, and work perfectly. Very reasonable prices too.
DESCPICABLE and UNSCRUPULOUS COMPANY
I bought a 5 ring electric hob from Ship It Appliances last July for a rental property but in February the tenants reported it was blowing all the fuses in the house everytime it was turned on. I had an electrician check it who said it was the appliance that was definitely faulty so he removed it immediately. I, thinking as it was under warranty still, it would be replaced without argument. However, after reporting it to customer services, they have done everything in their power to blame the installation of the hob being the problem and not the hob itself!! They have told me to re-install the hob and then they will send a 3rd party engineer to look at it but if it is found to be the installation at fault, I will be charged £119.99 call out. Why would I re-install a fire risk appliance back into a property just so they can try to prove me wrong!!
Well Ship It Appliances, you may feel putting peoples lives at risk is more important than replacing a defective hob, thankfully, as a responsible landlady, I don’t. So you can shove your despicable company where the sun doesn’t shine and I hope anyone reading these review will think twice before buying anything from yourselves!!
DO NOT BUY.
DO NOT BUY.
I purchased a 4-in-1 boiling hot water tap from SIA for just under £400. Unfortunately, it lasted only about two months, even though I replaced the filters as recommended.
I contacted SIA and provided proof of purchase, proof that I had bought and replaced the filters, and a video clearly showing the issue. Despite this, it has now been over six months and the matter is still unresolved.
Without ever receiving the tap to inspect, they claimed the fault must be due to an internal plumbing issue. This explanation doesn’t make sense, as I have two other brand-new taps installed that work perfectly fine. The problem with the SIA tap is that the boiling hot water disengages after a few seconds.
In my experience, the company has done everything possible to avoid honouring the warranty. If you’re looking for a premium or luxury tap, I would strongly recommend choosing a more reputable brand.
THIS IS A SCAM
black glass splashback

Looks Great!
Sia 70cm extractor fan
Wanted to cancle my order. Very happy with the customer service. The lady I spoke to dealt with my issue efficiently a refunded my money straight away without any delay. Thank you.
Poor Customer Service
been trying to organize an engineer's visit for a dishwasher which isn't working only purchased in September last year - phoned a week ago, website said phone lines were open until 5pm, but when you call up the phone lines close at 4pm, had some back & forth emails since then, no closer to finding out when an engineer will visit - not impressed so far
Good value for money
We wanted an additional plinth heater in the kitchen to supplement our dual fuel plinth heater on very cold days. This plinth heater was very reasonably priced with quick delivery. However please add details to your listing stating the minimum depth required to fit the heater as this information was only stated on the instructions once we received the item.
SIA - Don't get caught, it's the same company!
Ship It Appliances Manchester are the same company as SIA (in B&Q stores). SIA boast sales of all sorts of 'Whitegoods' and reading the small print you could be forgiven for thinking it would be easy to deal with these people and that butter wouldn't melt in their mouth, but how wrong you would be. In my opinion they are the most disgraceful and difficult bunch of people to deal with bar none. Delay, delay, delay (4 months)....anything to avoid sending a postage label to collect a rubbish dishwasher. As for getting a refund hahahaha, what a pathetic joke, it's not going to happen. I could go on writing for a long time yet about this company, but it would serve no purpose so please be warned DON'T BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM! I would have rated them -5 were it possible.
SIA 12kg washing machine
A very good price for a big washing machine. Delivery was fast and they kept me informed the whole way through the process.

Oven an actual danger to life
Oven an actual danger to life!
Had the fan replaced within 6 months and then, within another 6 months, somehow the rear of the oven was a smouldering mess...good job we are all here to let everyone else know how substandard these ovens actually are! Now awaiting the outcome for a repair or, preferably a total refund..funny how the sales advisor couldn't find our details on the system, when advising the problem...especially as they have been taking payments for the extended warranty for the past 12 months!! AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE 😱😱😱
Washing machine made cheaply and…
Washing machine made cheaply and buttons easily broken plus fridge is very faulty with lights going off and not coming back on and when it comes to customer service they are disgusting to the extreme as they do every thing in their powers to blame customers for their cheaply made and faulty products!!!!I suffered from mental health conditions and am waiting for someone to come and take a look at the above but even before that happens customer service is already telling customers it's the customer fault! I would not recommend ANYONE to purchase anything from sia appliances!

Great products
Recently purchased a fridge and air fryer, great products and very well priced.
avoid at all cost
how this company is still trading is a mystery based on their non existent customer service.
Brilliant
Brilliant. Very friendly and made me feel comfortable. Would recommend any other people to do it
Sia gas 5 burner hob
Ordered a Sia gas hob week or so back which we checked over at time of delivery as advised. All appeared ok.
Finally got to the point where oak worktops were fitted and cut to size to incorporate gas hob. Plumber came to fit hob which he did and tested to see if igniting etc. So far, so good.
Began to detect faint smell of gas which was slightly difficult due to having used various wood oils and other chemicals during kitchen fitting.
Gas smell increased ++ overnight - scary!
Rang plumber immediately who assisted turning off gas supply. He then discovered leak inside the hob which was a faulty issue with the unit itself as a pipe was cross threaded and stripped. This was leaking and relates directly to the product, not the plumber’s installation.
Once fully established, rang Sia customer service today at 11.30. Made a further 2 calls up until 5pm.
We have been told that this has been passed to their technical dept who have not yet responded and we have not allowed them sufficient time to deal with the matter. We asked how long we need to allow them to deal with this before looking for alternatives and their response was basically, they don’t know.
We asked for either a replacement part asap or a replacement hob. We were told we must allow reasonable time for them to resolve it and so we queried what is reasonable time? They were not able to clarify this. I want to know if it’s quicker to order a new hob altogether or wait for them to decide how long I should be without my cooking facilities or gas supply.
We’ve got a plumber waiting, a new kitchen in, no working hob and guests arriving this week……..
All we actually wanted was good customer service and a replacement part or hob sent out immediately. We understand mistakes happen. Not to mention, the inconvenience we have had.
The lady on the phone today was actually arguing about timings!
So now we have a beautiful new kitchen, no working hob. More than disappointed as I’ve looked forward to this for so long and worked so hard for it.
Note: other companies we have dealt with have been more than helpful.
We don’t have time to wait open ended.
2 days on and the company advised us to fix the problem ourselves and offered £10 for inconvenience. We have sent a report from our gas engineer stating the item is faulty.
Had to buy a new gas hob from elsewhere. Sia will not agree to a refund despite the consumer rights act. Still waiting. They do not have any urgency in responding to you.
I would advise not to use this company and have never before come across this. Feel really let down and disappointed.
Update: over 2 weeks later. Faulty hob collected by Sia who eventually agreed to a refund for this. I contact Sia and Debenhams on a daily basis, but still no refund issued. Constantly advised to wait until a further date for updates, then the date moves again. Poor customer service in the extreme all round!
No refund. No apology for faulty hob. Don’t buy from these people or even attempt to engage with them. Be warned
