We're genuinely sorry to hear how disappointed you've been since buying your X6, and we understand how frustrating it is to find concerns so soon after such a significant purchase.

We'd like to apologise for the delay in getting back to you. The busy summer period meant replies took longer than they should have. We did receive your messages, and we used that time to look carefully into each point you raised rather than give you a rushed answer. Even so, we should have kept you updated while we did so.

As with any used vehicle, the X6 underwent cosmetic preparation before sale, and some refurbishment work is a normal and reasonable part of buying a used car. The points you've described only came to light through a professional inspection using specialist paint-depth equipment, which shows the standard of finish involved. We've reviewed the report carefully, and we're satisfied that the work falls within what would reasonably be expected of a vehicle of this age and type.

The extended warranty information was sent to give you the option of added peace of mind, particularly as you live some distance from us. It was never intended to sidestep your concerns.

We've since reviewed how we handle aftersales enquiries, so that every customer receives a prompt acknowledgement while their concerns are being looked into.
