Dear Donna,
Thank you for your message — we’ve read your comment and discussed it as a team, including with our charter manager Cyril, and we’d like to respond.
First of all, we’re truly sorry that you had to face this situation with us, and that it led to such frustration that you felt the need to share your experience publicly. We completely understand your emotional concerns and believe it’s important to explain the situation here in detail.
We’d also like to emphasise that you are a client of Click&Boat, which acted as the booking platform and contractual counterparty for your reservation — not Signature Sailing directly. That said, we understand your frustration and are doing our best to support you in this difficult situation.
Regarding the pricing — there were no hidden fees. You received a full quote before confirming the booking, and we proceeded only after your approval. The weekly rate for your charter was €31,840, plus APA (a deposit to cover your expenses onboard if any during charter ) and a refundable security deposit, which is standard practice in the yachting industry. We always aim to be fully transparent with our pricing across all platforms. It’s also worth mentioning that, as an exception, we confirmed a 6-day charter for you instead of the standard 7 days.
As for the cancellation, this was not a decision we took lightly. The yacht suffered unexpected hull damage during a previous trip, making it unsafe to undertake the long repositioning journey from Olbia to Naples. All bookings on this boat are now subject to reassignment. We shared photos of the damage and explained the situation by email. The cancellation was processed immediately after the issue was confirmed — and over a month (not 3 weeks) ahead of your charter — to give time, we hoped, to secure an alternative.
Since your booking was made through Click&Boat, the cancellation had to be processed via their platform. At the same time, we actively searched for and proposed a similar replacement yacht ourselves, in an effort to assist you. However, as one of the largest boat rental platforms, Click&Boat has broader resources to help in these situations.
If Click&Boat has not contacted you or is not supporting you with a new arrangement, please let us know as soon as possible so we can help guide you through securing a new booking with another provider.
Regarding the 10-day listing you mentioned — please note that the yacht had bookings in Olbia both before and after your planned dates. Relocating the boat to and from Naples would take around four days in total, which is why those dates appeared as blocked.
We completely understand how disappointing this has been and truly regret the disruption to your plans. This was not a matter of giving preference to another client — it was a technical issue beyond our control, and your safety was our top priority.
If you’re still interested in the replacement yacht, or if there’s anything else we can do to assist, we remain at your disposal.
Warm regards,

Signature Sailing Team

My wife and I booked a private wine…

With my family we went on a cruise from Naples around the islands. My wife says it was the most impressive trip in years, although we had traveled a lot, it was the first time we had been on a cruise. Particularly noteworthy for my 14-year-old son was the master class in yacht handling. He had no idea what it was like and was left thrilled. The delicacies of the sea and the restaurant menu on the yacht like a hotel, it amazed us. My special thanks to the crew for their service.
