I had a great experience learning BSL 1, Lorna was kind, patient and open. It made it fun and enjoyable.

What made it great was clear instructions on what we were doing excellent tutor and could ask any questions and be helped with whatever you thought was a struggle

Great experience

I had a wonderful experience learning sign language with Lorna over the past six months. She is an excellent teacher patient, knowledgeable, encouraging, and always willing to help everyone in the group progress at their own pace.

The lessons were engaging, well structured, and enjoyable, creating a friendly and supportive learning environment. I gained a great deal of confidence in my signing skills and looked forward to each session.

Thank you, Lorna, for your dedication and enthusiasm. It has been a fantastic six months, and I would highly recommend your classes to anyone interested in learning sign language.

I recently completed an Introduction to BSL course and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The course was engaging, supportive, and really well structured. Everything was explained clearly, and I felt encouraged to practise and build confidence from the very beginning.

Lorna and Gary created such a welcoming and inclusive environment, which made learning feel safe and enjoyable. I’ve come away not only with new skills, but with a much greater appreciation for Deaf culture and the importance of accessible communication.

I would highly recommend this course to anyone thinking about learning BSL – it’s been such a rewarding experience.

Learning BSL with Lorna is a unique take on learning the language which is great for anyone wanting a more tailored or relaxed approach.

Lorna provides a warm and welcoming environment to learn with a good balance between casual interaction and structured learning. Unlike many other providers who are only available during scheduled classes there are ways to get in touch and ask questions about the course content, exams or how to use beyond asking during dedicated class time. She is also willing to adapt to the classes needs, an example of this: due to unexpected delays in the class schedule devoted an extra day just before Christmas to allow us to take our final exam despite extreme inconvenience.

Having been with 3 providers due to various health concerns Lorna was able to provide an atmosphere where I was able to progress and earn my level 1 qualification. I have just signed up for my level 2 and would highly recommend the course to anyone who wants a teacher with an obvious passion and care for what they teach

Lorna is a fantastic teacher of BSL! From day one she made me feel at ease with her patience and she has a great sense of humour which made learning more fun. I would highly recommend joining Lorna’s BSL class. I completed the level 1 course and thanks to Lorna’s encouragement our class got on very well and helped each other.

Learning to sign is an amazing experience. It is exciting and a little terrifying but Lorna puts you at ease straight away. Our lessons are well structured and from class one we know what is expected of us and Lorna not only encourages in class but provides videos covering that we have learned. Lorna is also very flexible if you have signs out with the course that you want to learn she goes over and above to help.

This course has been one of the best things I have ever done throughout my career. Having the confidence to now communicate with someone with a hearing impairment is magical! I’m hoping to move onto level 2 in the New Year to improve my BSL skills, and further develop my knowledge 😊

Lorna ran a wonderful session for our women’s group here at the community centre in Easterhouse. The women enjoyed the session very much and took lots of valuable information from it regarding sign language. I couldn’t recommend lorna enough!!

Just finished the BSL Level 1 course, Lorna was a wonderful teacher and the class was super fun! It was nicely paced so that we never felt rushed and Lorna was always happy to answer questions. So much better than trying to learn online! Would highly recommend
