Rip off

Rip off, and then once they rip you off something will rip off your waders and boots, and you’ll have to pay out of pocket to ship it back to be “FIXED” lol and then they’ll mark it with an X and say it’s unfixable!! Then you’re out a fly fishing season all because you chose to pay price gouged crap from a soon to be reduced to a Walmart only company!!!
@ Simms Fishing Products… we will not sit back idly and let you take advantage of us and make our local fly shops sell your crap!!!
Every “Sponsored” ad you put out will have a response that is not to your liking!!!

The sole practically fell off of my…

The sole practically fell off of my Simms wading boots. Returned them for repair. Received a letter along with the unrepaired boots telling me the boots were “beyond their useful life”.
Been buying Simms products for 20+ yrs. No more! They are no longer the customer service oriented company they once were.

Always wanted to get a pair of Simms G3…

Always wanted to get a pair of Simms G3 boots even though I dont fish that much. Just thought the quality and reputation had them as market leaders. Finally was able to get them but...
2nd time wearing them (16 months after purchase) and the woven material over each toe split.
Returned to FishCity who contacted Simms. No respect for the customer, no regard for their reputation, and no real concern about lack of quality. Dismissive attitude was just one of "Don't really care, it's outside the 12 month warranty, irrespective of only having been worn for 7 hours total."
Good customer service generates trust, confidence and leads to lifetime brand advocacy from the voice of customer. Dismissive customer service by Simms degrades the overall fishing experience. With as much passion I have for the sport, their cavalier attitude and total lack of responsibility for their premium product will likely see me bring that level of energy, flip it, and becoming their worst brand ambassador at every possible opportunity. Not something I had ever thought I would do. My ideal is to work with Simms to find a fair and equitable solution, but they genuinely appear to not respect the customer at all. Pity as customer advocacy through word of mouth is a veritable gold mine for their business future.

Disgusting customer service

Bought a pair of g3 waders. After unboxing I notice threads were loose on the gravel guard seem which created a hole. I was told to pay to mail them back so they could “repair” them. THESE ARE BRAND NEW WADERS! customer service is absolutely garbage. Simms only cares about taking your money. Those waders should have been replaced right away no questions asked. Will never buy another SIMMs product again.

I love Simms fishing clothing

I love Simms fishing clothing, keeps me dry in a wet climate. Had a problem with my zip pull on my Bulkley Gore-tex jacket. Simms fixed it free of charge. Great aftercare from a professional company.

Pro Bibs more like amateur bibs

I bought the pro bibs from Simms thinking they would be high quality. Second time using them the zipper broke off and would not work again. Customer service was terrible. Waited for a month to get the bibs back. Six months later the crotch section blew out. Sent the bibs back again and they "repaired best as they could". We will see what that means but now the item is flagged and cannot be repaired again. I will never buy a Simms product again.

I ordered g3 wading boots and fraud…

I ordered g3 wading boots and fraud department canceled my order I called customer service and canceled my order and then reordered as requested by customer service representative. Meanwhile I haven’t got my money back from first canceled order and now they canceled my reorder and now I’m waiting on 700 $ for items I’m not going to receive. Furthermore I asked for some sort of compensation and nothing can be done .So much for caring about a customer that spends thousands. I will be switching my wading gear to a company that’s gives a crap about there customers .

I bought a pair of G3 waders online…

I bought a pair of G3 waders online from one of their dealers based on the size chart Simms recommends. Turns out they were too big. When I asked to exchange for a smaller size, the dealer was not able to as they no longer had the size I needed. I called simms for help and they told me they would not exchange “a product not bought from them”. I could not believe it. Brand new with tags and simms won’t exchange for another resize. Last thing I buy from them.

Simms G3 Wading Boots Repair

After 3 seasons of hard fishing, my Simms G3 wading boots had a rubber panel in the back of the heel that was delaminating and separating from the Vibram sole. I sent the boots to Simms for inspection and repair, with the expectation that I would be charged for any work done. Instead, they repaired the boots at no charge. This was completely unexpected, especially considering the amount of usage the boots had incurred and it was 2-1/2 years since I had purchased them, I was very pleased with Simms' customer service and continue to purchase their products.

Dishonest company

My account was hacked and a fraudulent purchase was made with them. I informed them the day it happened, one week before the item shipped.
There response was "Too bad, so sad. Nothing we can do about it.
I wouldn't trust this company at all!

Have been using Simms for about 20 plus…

Have been using Simms for about 20 plus years. Original guide Waders, now G4Zippers, etc...I have worn out a few pairs of wading boots. My latest G3 stitching is coming apart prematurely, sent photos, then mailed to Simms. Simms Reply: We are unable complete a repair that meets our performance standards and the product appears to have reached the end of its serviceable life.

Shipped a defective jacket to me

Shipped a defective jacket to me. Couldn't even unzip the jacket to get into it. Customer service process for getting replacement was unclear and took way too long to figure out with multiple phone calls and long holds. Then was told the jacket is no longer in stock but to keep calling to see when inventory may be replenished! Now I have to go through the process of returning the jacket through UPS myself and hope I get my money back. Stay away--one of the worst customer experiences ever!

I purchased a pair of flyweight wading…

I purchased a pair of flyweight wading boots. I live a block away from the ocean and fish frequently. Overall, I was happy with the product but on the third outing, the laces snapped. I inquired on a replacement and Simms customer care wanted me to send the boots back on my own dime. This was just for laces, instead of simply sending me a new pair for practically brand new boots. Based on this experience alone, I won’t be going with Simms anymore as there are better products out there for companies that care about their customers.

To anyone thinking about purchasing…

To anyone thinking about purchasing from Simms, don't do it. I've yet to receive my order & Simms refuses to refund my money. I called to check on the status of my order & each time I was told to call back the next day. I was eventually told that the UPS truck was broken & it was all UPS's fault. I thought this sounded odd considering UPS has thousands of trucks. The story was then changed to the package was lost & they would ship a new package out but first it had to be approved by a manager. The manager was conveniently in a meeting. I was eventually told "it's out of our hands" over & over & there would be no refund nor a replacement. I've yet to receive the order, a refund, or an explanation. There's plenty of other places to spend your money so spend it elsewhere.

Over rated bull

Over rated . I have had better luck with Allen waders that were one third of the cost. Their warranty is a joke and again Allen kicked their ass. Not wasting my money on high end waders that leak just as fast as the cheap ones. Dealing with their joke warranty during salmon season. Not happy.

Top Dollar for bottom tier

Honestly seems to be the consensus on here, but I will add to the echo chamber. In terms of reputation they are well known as a higher end fly fishing brand. I am frankly shocked at how poor the customer service is with this brand. If you charge at a certain price point I would assume that some care would be taken to fulfill repair requests in a reasonable manner. I suppose also that the price point should indicate actual product quality as well, so I wanted to note that as well. Long story long, the new waterproof zipper backpack had degraded after maybe 3 uses. Any by uses I simply mean taking gear in and out of the pack. Basic use. I sent it in and have not heard anything for 2 and a half months. I will simply call and tell them to keep it. The zipper seemed questionable inherent to the design and I will simply replace with a Patagonia. I would rather flush the 300 and not represent their brand on the river.

Would never buy again and worst customer service…

Would never buy again as a guide their customer service might be the worst experience ever plus the quality of their boots. I got 15 seasons out of my pro lines that are discontinued. I got two seasons out of my flyweight wading shoes. One season with my waders already tearing too. I reached out to them to see if or how i could replace the shoelace NYLON tightening straps and sent photos of BoTH boots ripped and useless now. Not a word or care. I mean both boots to fail seems like a planned design to make you buy a poor quality product again. Orvis all the way now or korkers. Never will buy simms again. Also sole has already come off on one shoe. The worst customer service though again.

2 pairs of Guide Boots FAILED!

Two pairs of Simms Guide boots for wading FAILED! Both pairs lost the entire sole and each shoe of my husband’s AND mine within just a couple weeks. We paid about about $300 each for them. Sent one pair back to Simms Fishing Products to evaluate for defects. They evaluated them and have informed us that they are NOT defective.

We live in FLorida and have only been able to go fly fishing in the mountains a few times over the last 7 years or so.

Simms should have given us, at least, a discount on new pairs. This is very poor quality customer service.

Bait and switch

I ordered and paid for a hoody advertised as 50 UPF but what was delivered was actually only 30 UPF . I pointed this "error" out to customer service upon receiving the item and see they've yet to correct it (over a week later). I wanted to resolve the matter by getting a 50 UPF but after finding one on their site advertised as available and working that out with the rep, the item then within minutes became unavailable until a much later date even though the site continued and continues to show it as available. Their proposed fixes of their mistake put the burden and risk on me not to mention all the time trying to resolve this. Looks like false advertising and a bait and switch; I wonder which other Simm's products are misrepresented. If you have to buy from this company, probably better to do it on Amazon because its customer service and flexibility is user friendly and you'll likely get much better results.I've had much better service and results from Columbia clothing.
