SimplifyMTD is free, HMRC-recognised software that helps UK landlords meet their Making Tax Digital for Income Tax obligations, without the cost of an accountant or a complicated accounting suite. MTDis the biggest change to Self Assessment in decades. From April 2026, landlords and sole traders with qualifying income over £50,000 must keep digital records and send quarterly updates to HMRC, followed by a Final Declaration, with the £30,000 threshold following in April 2027.
