Cancelled EHCP

Unfortunately the local council decided to cancel my son's EHCP when we still wanted it in place so he could go on to a special college. My son's future at college was ensured by Simpson Millar

Yasmin is a very capable lady and totally removed the stress from my shoulders - dealt with all parties in a timely manner and ensured we would get the result we wanted, my son now has a 3 year college experience to look forward to.

Very efficient service from medical negligence solicitor

I don’t very often write reviews but I have been left feeling that impressed I feel I must. The circumstances around why I instructed Simpson miller are very difficult and involve losing a loved one. At the start of my claim I has several solicitors take over the case as handlers which was frustrating but around two years ago Georgina Reid took over the case. I was instantly left with the feeling of confidence after out first communication and since then this feeling has only increased. Not only is Georgina a fantastic, talented Solicitor but she has shown great care and compassion to me throughout this process when very often the art of Law is about facts with little room for “feelings”. Georgina has communicated with me regularly and has efficiently explained the complex legalities of all the information I needed to know. Also in a way one would understand who has no legal background.
I will forever be grateful to Georgina and will recommend her to anyone who requires her professional services. She certainly eased the anxieties around my claim and delivered a positive conclusion swiftly.
I highly recommend Simpson Miller but without any hesitation I would be recommending Georgina Reid for medical negligence cases.

Work accident

Just to say I had an accident at work and was with Simpson & Miller solicitors and I can honestly say Charlotte Rankin and her team was amazing. They kept me informed of my case along the way at all times. Charlotte was amazing at explaining everything to me so I understood everything along the way with my case. I regret reaching out to this company…

I regret reaching out to this company and wasting 45 minutes on the phone discussing my claim. The lady I spoke to was very pleasant, but their "legal team experts" believe it's acceptable for a patient to be diagnosed with cancer just seven days before death, despite multiple misdiagnoses over the past year and assurances from their GP that "it's definitely nothing serious." I contacted another solicitor, and they accepted my claim without hesitation. If you have a medical negligence claim, I wouldn't recommend bothering with Simpson Millar.

Waste of time

I called to see if the firm would take on my case. After around an hour of explaining the details to someone, they repeated the details.

The person got the date wrong, got my injury wrong, and basically didn't listen to anything i'd said.

It was then passed on to a lawyer to try and further my case. The lawyer then repeated the details of the incident and the details were all still wrong.

How can you trust a company to defend your case if they can't get the basics right? Wrong injury, wrong date.

Complete waste of time

Anthony Waddington and Emma Cashin…

Anthony Waddington and Emma Cashin based out of your Manchester branch dealt with my claim in relation to the death of my father. Making a claim was very daunting and upsetting at times having to read medical records and autopsy reports relating to my fathers death.
