Never again, Would never recommend, Don't use Sinspeed.

I should have gone with my initial gut feeling. Booked my car in for repair of faulty ABS Module. Quoted a price and 5-7 days to complete.
Dropped my car of on the Wednesday and phoned Thursday afternoon to ask if they had diagnosed the fault. I was told "You only dropped it off yesterday". Great start.
Had a call to say the unit was repairable but needed additional parts. Then told my discs and four tyres were badly worn, which may affect the operation of the module!!!! What?
They could replace the discs for £328!!!! and provide part worn tyres. They wouldn't let the car leave the garage as in their view the car was illegal and dangerous.
So i accepted the tyres but not the discs. They took another three days to complete this.
I had lost the locking wheel nut which i told them about from day one and they did source a new one from MB which cost £50, however, when looking, it looks suspiciously like a second hand one they found in the back of their garage, however I'll give them a mark for at least providing a replacement.
Finally i went to collect the car after two working weeks and as mentioned in a previous post by someone else, surprise, surprise their machine wasn't working and they asked if i had cash! Really?
Went to bank got the cash and asked for a receipt. Apparently the invoice is the receipt! No i want a receipt please.
Car appears fixed but i have little confidence that they have done what they should have and cross my fingers every time i get in the car.

Finally the customer service is absolutely rubbish. The guy who I initially gave my keys to on day 1, the same guy who called me to tell me about the additional work required, (Zac I think it was), had an aggressive manner, was very nonchalant and when it came to paying couldn't even be bothered to talk through everything or even hand the car back, leaving it to one of the office girls.

If this is how he acts in person, what is he like with your car?

Read all the reviews you can find, (except the facebook ones, which are so good and over the top and must have been written by family and/or staff), before using Sinspeed.

Maybe this was a one off? Probably not!

Hello Mike

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and I’m sorry to hear you’ve not had a great one!

I’ve taken a look over the account notes and I can see that your vehicle was booked in for the ABS module to be repaired, which does involve it being removed from the vehicle and diagnosed on our isolated testing bench. The testing alone can take up to 72 hours and that is the reason we were unable to give you any update when you rang the following day. We then need to take into account the time taken to remove/refit the unit and any repairs in between, hence the 5-7 working day turnaround time.

Your tyres on all four wheels were badly worn, some to the point that the tyre threads were showing. The brake discs were also worn and as you’ve stated, this was advised to you on the phone. We would never hold your vehicle against your wishes but I can see from the call logs it was explained to you that the vehicle would not be fit to drive, even after the ABS repairs as the brake pads were completely finished and damaged the discs (binding metal) and the tyres were excessively worn and illegal for road use. Looking at the system notes, we quoted you £322.96 to replace the brake discs, brake pads and brake wear sensors on all four wheels. You told us that you managed to get the discs for almost £100 cheaper from ‘Euro Car Parts’ but when checking the part numbers that you supplied to us, they were not suited for your Mercedes as you have the sport pack model.

There is an invoice on the account from Mercedes for 1 locking wheel nut, this was purchased new for your vehicle.

I understand we were unable to take a card payment from you and can see from the account notes we did request a cash payment or bank transfer. I apologise if this caused you any inconvenience. We do not give out separate receipts for cash payments, the invoice is your receipt. You do get the additional card receipt from the card machine when making a card payment, but not for cash payments. We are, however, happy to sign your invoice to say that you’ve made your payment in cash.

We take all complaints seriously and I apologise if you did not receive the level of customer care and service that you expected. We value your feedback and your comments will be used for coaching and training our employees.

Kindest Regards

Jason

Sinspeed - Excellent Job!

Zak Elahi was great at all levels! My BMW had a major issue as it went through the MOT but despite the challenge Zak was able to use his creativity and resolve the matter. He was honest when explaining what the issue was. He actually showed me the faulty parts and explained the problem to me in a way that I actually understood. I've been coming to this garage for the last 3 years and I have never been disappointed. I highly recommend it specially if you have a BMW. Zak provide an excellent customer service as well as specialist BMW experience. Zak had the ability to reassure me that the few issues my BMW had were resolved for my peace of mind. Above all I recommend Sinspeed not just because of their specialist know-how and experience on BMW's but mainly because of their hard work, innovative drive and, most importantly, their honesty. They are good value for money. 5 stars without a doubt!

Avoid sinspeed Greenwich

Avoid sinspeed they are merchants that cannot find fault for love nor money. And are overpriced in my opinion. Also are very rude. Have now spoken with another company about the merc ignition problem and they have been more help than sinspeed. Very poor service AVOID and save yourself a fist full of cash

DPF Removal, EGR Delete + Turbo Rebuild Package

Sinspeed came highly recommended by the AA roadside recovery chap that towed me home. Got myself booked in and got a DPF Removal, EGR Delete and a Turbo Rebuild package and I have to say the Mazda drives better then ever before. Definitely no complaints here, although the only downside is their location as it is completely gridlocked with cars because they are always overbooked. They need a bigger premises but still got my car back in good time.

Excellent service!

Have taken my car to Sinspeed a few times now for a service and also for other niggly problems. Staff are excellent as is the quality of the work. Had a few electrical problems which they have solved thanks to latest equipment, meaning I don't need to take it to BMW and pay extortionate prices!

Also had my car remapped a while back (BMW 320d)... increased performance as well as economy!

Overall brilliant service. Highly recommended.
