I think this company might be a scam. It’s been 9 days since I placed my 2-3 day order. I have chased it up and was advised that it’s been sent so I should have had it by now. I further chased for a tracking number and they provided one which Royal Mail don’t recognise. I don’t believe I’m ever going to receive my order and I’m i just annoyed I didn’t come here to check reviews first! Avoid!
Update: my mistake that I was given a reference number not a tracking number. I would advise anyone to check other reviews where people have not received their orders. Unfortunately I’ve not been offered a refund on postage given I’ve not received the item.

Wanted to get back into skating and was looking for specific boots. After being let down by another skate shop, that never bothered to answer calls. I found these. No need for price match as they were the best price for what I was after. They gave me me good advice on the sizing of the boot and how they would adjust to my feet after a little while. They even bumped up they delivery date for free.

I ordered some toe stops and cushions but they haven’t anrrived. After chasing them three times over 6 weeks I asked for a refund. I chased up my refund request a week ago and nothing.
Going to go to my credit card company to get it sorted.
Definitely would not recommend buying from skateattack.
Terrible experience. My daughter Brought Bauer xls skates it should of arrived with playmaker plates but it arrived with Rio plates on them totally false information on their website, when I called to ask them to send the original plate the Manager Jo said it would be sent ASAP a week later still waiting, phoned again this weekend staff were so rude and dismissive, no Manager Jo available was told they couldn't get ahold of her, they make promises and don't keep it.
I advise potential buyers to either buy elsewhere or make sure your getting what you pay for especially if you order online and it arrives by post My daughter is still awaiting the original playmaker plates but if it does not arrive I will be personally making a formal complaint to trading standards for misleading information on their website and misleading customers on goods. My daughter saved her money and paid a lot of money for my skates so she should get what was advertised and what she paid for on their website. By speaking to as many as 3 staff I found them all to be Very unprofessional and very rude and dismissive towards me and my daughter you all need to learn how to treat customers who spend their money with you. More training is definitely needed in customer service and customer care also if you don't have a particular item in stock inform the paying customer of that, just don't send out random alternatives of your choice that's wrong and misleading. Customers need to be informed
Great shop great advise got new pair Bauer XLP great fit super light would like to say to every skater skate attack is the place to go service and delivery is amazing and staff so helpful
Biggest bunch of numpties I’ve come across on the internet.
Just take your money and ……………….nothing.
Popped in to the shop today, as we live nearby and my partner wants another pair of skates. They have maybe 3 different models of male skates. My partner picked one and wanted to tried them on. Politely asked if he could try them on. The answer was :"are you gonna buy them?", He said he doesn't know he wants to see and was refused to try them on. People think first cause your review are bad anyway, you are rude, very unpleasant and you don't really care about selling your products. It's a skate shop, I have never heard anyone refusing to let me try anything. Try before you buy, no ?
Will never go back and not recommend to anyone.
Yeah firstly I shall start off saying I couldn't give them 0 stars that would have happened so 3 weeks ago I purchased a set of hockey skates for my son and they wasn't the right ones since then I've sent them back recorded next day delivery and we are now 3 weeks later and I speak to the assistant manyet it to the assistant manager which happens to be the rudest person I have probably ever spoken toPhone menarism is absolutely terrible I have tried everything to sort them out with them and all they ever tell me is the same thing I will sort things out I will sort things out with my finance people and get back to you it's people and get back to you 3 weeks later and I still haven't received my 165 pounds refund I have asked numerous times for them to contact me and numerous times for the actual manager of the store to contactNot purchase anything from this company they are absolutely terrible and delayed the terrible and the lady who calls herself an assistant manager I wouldn't allow her to run me a bath let alone a small store
Just went down to skate attack to purchase my first pair of Ice skates. Did not feel pressured to buy a pair of skates. Was given many options of all different budgets. They were very knowledgeable and a great help! They made sure the fit was right and said if I had any issue further down to take them back and they can have them wider. They were very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend skate attack to anyone!
I ordered a some quad skates that needed to be made up before closing time online the next day I called to see if I can collect them as it’s a few days before New Year’s Day and I know delivery would take some time due to bank holidays so I went down there in the early afternoon and they was waiting for the boots to arrive so I went shopping and about 40 min later they call me saying they have arrived and they will put them together
The staff are very polite and very busy I know after talking to them they have delivery problems that is out of there control but that is happening everywhere at the min thanks for getting the skates ready in lighting speed and I’m sure I will be back 👍
I had hopes to start off with. Communication was good, the item I ordered was out of stock so they contacted me with a replacement suggestion, which I expected. Two weeks later, the best part of five emails later with its on its way to you as a reply. My order arrived in a torn and battered package, that looks like it was taped together by a two year old. I will not be using them again and I have made contact to inform them.
I had purchased a new helmet visor and gloves as mine had previously broke, and they emailed me to say that they had ran out of the gloves and asked if I wanted to wait to they got new ones in next week (probably lies). I said no as I had a game on Thursday (over a full week from purchase when delivery time is 2-4 days). I let them know of this and asked for a refund on the gloves and to just receive the visor. They guaranteed it would be here Wednesday and that they would refund me for the gloves. It is now past when they said they would be arriving and I am yet to receive a refund for anything and unsure as to if I will even get to play the game as I live in NI and no shops sell visors here… Shocking website, do not buy!
I feel like a lot of these reviews are particularly harsh. I ordered roller boots on 31 March for my daughter’s birthday mid April. After a few days of no communication, I thought I’d email them. Then immediately after I did the whole retrospective ‘check trust pilot’ for reviews (I know, not great practice) and to my horror, I was disgusted. I then sent a really sharp email thinking the company was a scam and then decided a quicker action would be to phone. I got through to someone who checked my order and said she’d respond to me and let me know order status. Jo did respond via email to let me know my order would be with me early this week. A DHL delivery driver dropped them off yesterday.
I would suggest these reviews are slightly harsh and in this time, the company might be working off skeleton staff due to covid.
I did get my item in the end, albeit I had to chase, however they definitely shouldn’t be promising 2–3 days delivery and charging £4 for that promise if they can’t stick to it. Luckily I ordered in plenty time for my daughter’s birthday and arrived 8 working days later.
The boots are high quality.
Terrible customer service. My order was nearly two months late, and I had to keep chasing them up for an updates. I received no official email letting me know of the issue and giving me an accurate timeline, just when I called up they kept promising 'within a week or two, we'll let you know when we know more' and then never letting me now. The last time I spoke to them on the phone about it to explain my situation having not received my order after 7 weeks, they were really rude and unhelpful, sarcastic even. Shame as they seem to have good stock (when things are actually in stock), but because of this experience I would never buy here again
I ordered some jam plugs (so luckily something not really expensive, even with the delivery fee that costs almost as much as the plugs) 2 weeks ago. It said it would be delivered in 2-4 days, but I haven't seen them nor I have received any notification or tracking number. Also they didn't reply to the e-mails I sent them. Maybe before reviewing I should wait to receive the things I bought or a refund, but I don't know when/if that's going to happen so I'm just doing it now
I ordered some Skates for my husband’s birthday and left it a bit late!
The staff were absolutely amazing and got them to me the day before!!! I would definitely recommend this company and will use them in the future.
Thanks guys.
Katie
This company are an utter disgrace, sending out faulty goods and unwilling to replace. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
We are now having to go through the small claims court.
Would have given one star but I gave them an extra star for friendly customer service. HOWEVER, no order updates or contact unless I chase them. Paid for next day delivery for wheels which were marked as in stock but still haven’t arrived almost two months on. Disappointed. Whilst Brexit and covid have caused havoc with shipping they should’ve been marked as preorder item rather than available for next day delivery.
Jo is very polite and understanding (even in the face of criticism). Having spoke to her via email and in person, I can tell that she is constantly working hard behind the scenes and does aim to deliver a great service. I believe the problem may be that they are short staffed and therefore the demand is too much for them to manage at the moment (this is just my opinion).
Though my experience wasn’t the best, I wouldn’t completely rule out shopping here and hope to see Skate Attack thriving in the future.
Update: I left my initial review after being told my refund was processed. It has been over 6 months and I’m still waiting to receive my money back; for that reason I will never shop with Skate Attack again.
