Lovely dining in faboulous sorroundings ❤️

Our stay at Skjoldenæsholm Hotel in Jystrup, Denmark, was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were treated with such warmth and hospitality that it instantly made us feel at home. The owners went above and beyond to make our experience special, even taking the time to share the fascinating history of the castle itself.

We were upgraded to a spacious room with a comfortable sitting area and a stunning view of the lake. The room was thoughtfully appointed, and throughout the hotel, there were various sitting rooms that allowed us to relax and soak in the atmosphere. The whole property exudes character and luxury, creating a unique and unforgettable experience.

The attention to detail was evident in every corner of the hotel. One of the highlights was the dining experience — we highly recommend opting for dinner at the hotel. The meal, made with fresh seasonal ingredients, was the best we had during our time in Denmark. The quality of the food was outstanding, and the service matched it perfectly.

For wine enthusiasts, don't miss trying the Austrian wine from the estate owned by the owners' brother-in-law — it was truly special.

In addition to the amazing accommodations and food, we also enjoyed spending time exploring the grounds. There’s a lovely trail that loops around the lake and winds through the trees, providing the perfect backdrop for a peaceful and relaxing walk.

Skjoldenæsholm Hotel is more than just a place to stay — it’s an experience. With its combination of rich history, exceptional service, and beautiful setting, I can’t recommend this hotel enough. If you're ever in Denmark, this is a must-visit!
