I think charging me 70€ for this…

I think charging me 70€ for this service is way to much even because there is a free way to ask for delay refund.
I am pretty sure this company works for Ryanair as the bank is in Dublin. For this delay of 11 hours I should get more money than 250€. This sky company is evem worse than working for Ryanair.....

Dear Marco, we are very disappointed that you have found our services unsatisfactory for you. Here at SkyGenius we strive to achieve the highest level of customer satisfaction. First of all, the level of compensation by law is not a function of how long your delay is. Once the flight is delayed by 3 hrs or more the level of compensation varies only in function on the length of the flight. In your case the flight was less than 1500kms so the compensation by law is €250.

Regarding our fees, we state from the very beginning that we charge a fee of 25% + vat on all funds that we are able to recover for the customer. There are no hidden fees and our fees our known to our customers from the very beginning since they are stated everywhere (website, claim form, mandate, terms and conditions and in all communications with the customer). In case of no success there is no fee to be paid by the customer. As our customers know very well it is almost impossible to get the airlines to admit their responsibility if you try to claim on your own and even when they do they make your life miserable by dragging the process forever. Some of our customers try to make a claim by themselves and are ignored or given excuses and long back and forth messages which go nowhere. Then when the customers get fed up and come to SkyGenius and we contact the airlines, magically the airlines accept to pay without any fuss. They know that if they don't pay we will take them to court and we always win. So in essence our customers value our service because it is easy and quick!

To give you a better perspective on the rationale behind our fees, please consider that as a central part of our strategy we aim to obtain compensation from the airlines in the shortest time possible without dragging the claim into court unless the airline forces us to by refusing to pay the compensation to the customer. We also have a highly specialized flight disruption analysis team made up of highly qualified analysts (and not merely computer algorithms) who analyse each claim in detail backing up the customer's claim with hard evidence collected from multiple sources concerning the flight(s) involved. This allows us to persuade the airlines to pay immediately and in case we are forced to go to court we have an outstanding track record of over 99% success rate. This is the reason why SkyGenius offers the highest quality service and is the reason behind our fee structure.

Of course passengers are free to choose other services, but be ready to have a very long claim process even when it could have been settled quickly out of court. In fact our competitors aim to profit on the legal fees to be paid by the airlines to the claim agencies in addition to the amount claimed by the customer. The airlines usually refuse to pay extra therefore the claims end up in court and take much longer than needed. Additionally be ready to lose your case completely when the other agency cannot produce the level of detail in the evidence they bring to court that SkyGenius is able to. Some of our competitors even have hidden fees and charge extra if they have to go to court!
In your case Marco, we managed to obtain your compensation from the airline and pay you in less than 60 days from the date of your flight including the additional expenses you incurred! If we had gone to court the process would have been much longer.

Finally, to address your suspicion that we are somehow associated to Ryanair, thank you for that because that really brightened our day :) We don't really think they like us at Ryanair given how many successful claims we've made against them over the years! Yes we have a bank account with Bank of Ireland, but no luckily for our customers we are not part of Ryanair! :)

We hope this explanation helps you to view our service in a better light and we hope that you will give us a chance to provide you with our services again in the future!
