Please avoid this company at all costs

Please avoid this company at all costs. In 2025 we hired Skylight Cinema for a large school event. Big mistake. The contractor was unable to set up because they did not have the right equipment. He tried to reschedule a date despite 200 pupils being present. He swore in earshot of the children and was rude to staff. The owner/manager Warwick initially refused to respond to calls and emails, was then verbally aggressive and refused a refund, even when chased by senior management. Our school lost over £2000 on a non existent event. Totally untrustworthy. Please avoid this terrible company.

Beware, they cancel and pocket the booking fee!!

Company will sell tickets, cancel the event without explanation and not refund what you paid. Making money by keeping booking fees when not providing the event paid for screams scam and I definitely won't give them the chance to do this again. No contact or explanation offered when asked. Awful company practice.

Shoddy equipment (verified by their OWN staff)

Nice company up until they arrive to setup. I was advised setup would take 90 minutes, they installers spent 8 hours at my house (albeit lovely chaps).

Initially there was a lack of power as we had caterers too, but we resolved that by only powering up the screen once the caterers had left. Once it was time to watch the film (6 hours after the installers originally had arrived), we still hadn't once tested the screen. After trying a MacBook, iPhone and iPad, we realised the formatting was completely off. The two installers at this point admitted their boss, Warwick Royden, has jigged (calibrated) the screen incorrectly. Moreover, they were explicit in how the equipment is subpar/dated and they're given little to no info before they arrive to an event.

Spending thousands of pounds on a shoddy screen is bad, having 50 guests sitting around waiting is bad, but having to spend a large portion of the day running around trying to sort this issue instead of spending my father's 60th with him is unforgivable.

I have since tried to have conversation's with Warwick Royden around a fair level of compensation however in what I can only guess is their cowboy style of customer service, they no longer answer the phone. For this reason I have filed a claim with the Ombudsman against this company.

I'm sure they will reply to this review spinning some tale of how it was not their fault or out of their hands, but when it comes down to it, would you really want to chance it....

Absolutely Awful

Great colleagues (very few), absolutely terrible boss & managers
With out of date equipment and dodgy solutions, would not suggest having done 100s of shows for them, meager pay, many frequently end up having to be cancelled due to failed equipment or issues with them, many are poor display quality or incorrect projectors for size of the screen, time management, and lack of coordinated plan between the boss and the client, frequent lack of funds on company card, meaning no food, no fuel, absolutely 0 training.

DO NOT HIRE, AND DO NOT APPLY FOR A JOB.
