I’m genuinely sad to leave this review. The team at SHC clearly knows their classic VWs, and I’ve appreciated their expertise over the years. However, my experience has become less positive over time. While I understand that maintaining old vans can be costly, spending nearly £1,000 for a service is significant.
I've invested thousands with them and had many upgrades done, but as they've grown and demand has increased, the quality and timeliness of work seem to have suffered. Repairs were sometimes incomplete or rushed, and fixing one issue often led to another. I also feel that the rising costs are linked to the overheads of their expansion.
The team is friendly and knowledgeable, but it feels like they’ve grown too large to maintain the same level of personal service and craftsmanship. After repeated disappointments and steep bills, I’ve made the difficult decision to take my business elsewhere. Wishing them all the best for the future.
