Excellent customer service

I was very satisfied to have my smarkets account changed over with different bank accounts. It was nice to get the help, as my banks made this harder than it should have been. Alice the advisor was vey helpful and resolved my bank issue fast.

Smarkets let customers down!

Please look elsewhere than Smarkets. I was in a bet and had the opportunity to cash out when they froze everything due to a technical error and I lost money. Smarkets have really let their customers down. Go for Betfair or someone else, you will thank me for it.

Fraud

Someone managed to get into my bank account and deposited funds into an smarkets account! I asked them to look into this over a month ago. They don’t reply to my messages for days and then say they’re looking into it! Have some serious dodgey security system by the looks of things! You can deposit money into accounts using other peoples details!

Very Disappointed with Smarkets’…

Very Disappointed with Smarkets’ Handling of Matched Bet Issue

I placed a bet on a greyhound race on 7 July 2024, which was clearly marked as "matched" in my account, with the liquidity on the exchange reflecting my bet size. However, after the race, my statement suddenly showed the bet as unmatched, costing me my winnings. Despite multiple attempts to resolve this with Smarkets, including detailed explanations and evidence, they repeatedly insisted the bet was never matched and offered no meaningful solution.

This experience has seriously undermined my confidence in Smarkets. If bets can appear matched and then vanish when they win, it calls into question the reliability and fairness of the platform. Smarkets' handling of this situation has been disappointing, and I feel compelled to warn others about the potential risks of betting on this platform.

Smarkets just contacted me essentially saying there is no chance that their software is mistaken, pretty sure I heard a certain letter delivery service say something similar for decades :)

Good generally

Good commission levels, market options and liquidity for the markets i bet in .. less keen on changing order of selections according to price (ie not able to fix) which can cause confusion
