Had no problems with cam, bought it to monitor grandaughter, it's worked fine. No longer needed for grandaughter, I now point it out the window, ok during day, but, not so much at night with LED.
You get the last 24 hours recorded, quality is not as good as photos on website, but fine for monitoring a room.
Slightly surprised at the negative feedback, I don't think I signed up for 2 years, I was given the impression it can be returned at any time, I'll find out when I do return it.
I chose it because it's a turnkey solution, not difficult to set up.

Constant annoying unsolicited emails
For months I have been receiving two or three emails a week to my school email address. Each time it’s from a different person but selling the same product which I today found out is apparently produced by smart frog. Most of the time the sender refused to even give a company they just try to sell power points of science resources and request money. They never offer a free sample. This seemed like a scam so today I called out the sender on it and THEY complained! sending an email to my school complaining I called them a scammer. Sorry but after repeated requests to stop wasting my time if you still want to force advertise to me repeatedly then you forego the right to a polite response. I will never ever ever buy anything from this company.

I have been trying to cancel my subscription, it's impossible. The app keeps crashing. The one and only time I needed the history, I couldn't retrieve it. One star ?, Give smartfrog that one star for having a pretty website.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS
I had two Smartfrog camera's for 6 months, then unfortunately due to my financial situation I had to declare myself bankrupt. Smartfrog was included, the official court receiver sent them a cease and desist on the contract, yet now almost 10 months later they are still billing me every month for camera's that were returned last year, despite the debt being included in the bankruptcy. Absolute joke of a company. Bunch of crooks who ignore the law. DO NOT USE!
terrible customer service
terrible customer service, i purchased 2 of these cameras from an auction they looked unused but because the previous owner is still registered to them i am unable to use them because smart frog will not reset them.... is this a way to make sure you only ever buy new ?

Discusting abusive staff and rude
Discusting abusive staff and rude. Claim the cameras have not been sent back even though they was. Get emails from them saying to provide a receipt for tracking number and they will remover who keeps 2 month old bits of paper in there wallet. They have now been reported to watchdog as I feel there is a bit of a ongoing issue clearly someone is up to something with shipping and I think its to do with shipping there own cameras back abroad.
Good camera but stuck in a contract
I’ve been paying for a year Now
I have tried to leave in the past as I hardly use the camera but they said I’m in a contract of 24 months which I really don’t recall
So it’s annoying having to pay £5 a month I have 3 cameras so it’s £15
Camera quality is good overall it lags sometimes especially when I speak to my kids through it
But I’m not complaining
Can’t wait to finish this subscription
Absolute joke of a company
Absolute joke of a company. They are refusing to cancel any subscription as they have lost the cameras I RETURNED in 2018. Now saying I owe them £249. Customer service advisors are rude and extremely unhelpful.
I am now taking this further, and have reported to The UK ECC.

Bad experience
Poor camera, and like many other people, they had no record of its return so continued attempting to charge me.
Funny how they lose so many cameras. Anyone would think they were just a bunch of dishonest crooks...

Overall not bad!
Overall for the price the cameras aren’t bad! They had problems with dropping out intermittently when I first got them... but now they seem to be just fine! I would like them to be better at capturing night low light footage but my garden cam is very poor because it’s so dark out back! My front car park cam is spot on and for a fiver a month delivers peace of mind! Camera upgrades for a slightly higher price would be welcomed!

The service is absolutely terrible! I have been trying to cancel this "cancel anytime" subscription for at least 6 months. Yet they keep invoicing me over and over again. The delay is that the cameras got "lost in the post"! PFFT!!! Yea right. They just want to charge me £125 each to replace them! But they didn't tell me it "wasn't received" until 2 - 3 months after I posted them! The offer of £5 a month sounds great to reel you in - then they won't let you go until you pay up. When emailing them and reading their replies, it is like talking to a brick wall. I ask 1 or 2 questions, and their replies are completely irrelevant to my questions. SO FRUSTRATING! AVOID! Not worth the hassle!!
