I have been using SmartShow 3D for about 10 years and can honestly say that I love the program. This is from a guy that is almost 80 years old, and I appreciate the ease of use and the support if needed.

This is good (but not great) software at a reasonable price. There are a few issues I've encountered which is why I went to 4 stars rather than 5. One is an issue where some slides kept reverting to an original cropping even though I had repeatedly adjusted and saved in the software. I had to edit these photos outside of this app and then re-add to my project. Also, the audio section is a little light on features.I'd like more flexibility on cross fades, individual audio levels, etc.

The problem I am having I have purchased templates to make slideshows when I order something I never get a message with password to load the software. Then I have to contact support then the next day or if it’s on a Friday you have to wait till Monday for them to send a password so you can use what you paid for, I was promised a free software for a review I posted a review for two free gifts. Then I ask about that and they want a screenshot of review from over 2 months ago. I wish I had never purchased from them at all. They can’t seem to resolve why I don’t get a message with a password but I get everything and ads seem to go through with no problems. BEWARE OF BUYING THEIR PRODUCTS.

For the best part, this is one of the best slideshow software programs ever. I have used this program for a couple of years now and it keeps getting better.

This software worksuch like the old ProShow Gold that I used a few years ago.

It's full-featured, easy to use, and produces excellent slideshows.

Easy to use but gives professional results

I like the transition effects and I like the effect layers for the pictures which make the pictures more alive.
I also like it that the layout is simple and easy to use.
Because of that, Smartshow 3D is usable for everyone.

I have used SmartSHOW 3D as my primary photo slideshow for the past few years. The software made adding and editing photos into slides an easy task. I have presented praiseworthy slide presentations for memorial services, baby showers, honorary tributes and vacations.

I have been using SmartShow 3D for a week, I would say at this time I'm 70% happy with the software. I'm using it to create a slide show and am very impressed with all the creative options it provides. On the down side, I'm not impressed with the "Help" button. Using it seems to take you only to an add to sell you more of the company products. I would like to learn specifics such as how to insert slides, music and voice files into specific points in the "Timeline". Hopefully the company will offer a tutorial that teaches specifics rather than video presentations that are aimed toward selling more product.

Do not buy this software. It is a rip off.
This software was difficult. I tried using it when I bought it. When I followed the easy slide show it stuck all my slides in alphabetical order into the show.
I bought the software to do a funeral presentation. Since I failed using the easy slide show, I decided to load it on my lap top and do the show at my cabin west of San Antonio.
You can not do that. You guys want even more money. So I disabled it on my home computer and installed it on my laptop.
Once I arrived in San Antonio I set out determined to make this slide show. I looked at the you tube videos and tried to follow along. That is when I discovered that you can not use the premade forms without an internet connection. That's right, this is not stand alone software. No where in its advertising push do the mention this.
I had to use power point.
I want a refund. This software will not allow a 2nd install on a mobile lap top. It will not work with out an internet connection. It is not easy to use.
Do noy buy this software.

From the start, the interface felt very approachable—drag‑and‑drop photos, selecting a music track, layering in captions—it was intuitive even though I’m no video editor. I loved how many templates and transitions were available; it gave me the creative flexibility to capture the energy of the matches (diving saves, blockers, celebrations) while keeping things polished and professional.

Honestly, seeing my daughter’s face when she saw the slideshow was worth the entire effort—it brought tears to my eyes and cheers from her teammates. It became a highlight of the night in its own right.

If I were to offer one suggestion, it would be a slightly larger selection of sports‑themed templates or transitions (for example, quick bursts/flash effects for “point won” or “team huddle” moments) just to make things like tournaments even more tailored. But that’s a fun “wish‑list” item rather than a complaint.

In short: you made a memorable moment even more special by making the creation work easy and the final product shine. Thank you for your great software and keep up the excellent work.

I’m very pleased with SmartSHOW 3D! When choosing slideshow software, my biggest priority is the quality of the transitions and effects — and SmartSHOW 3D definitely delivers. The variety and smoothness of the transitions really set it apart from other programs I’ve tried.

Another big plus is how easy it is to use. There’s only a small learning curve, so I was able to jump right in and start creating impressive slideshows right away. The included video tutorials are a great bonus for anyone who needs a quick walkthrough or tips along the way.

Customer support can take a day or two to respond, but the important part is — they do respond, and they’re helpful when they do. Overall, I’m very happy with this software and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a powerful, easy-to-use slideshow maker with great transitions and effects.

The best thing about SmartShow is the "collage" effects it includes, and you can purchase more of them as well. Many other popular slideshow programs don't offer this feature and that is the main reason I chose SmartShow. I used to use ProShow but abandoned it after it was sold to and changed by another company. ProShow offered better standard "collages" than SmartShow, but at least SmartShow has them while other similar programs now available don't.

There are some drawbacks though:

There is no help system!! They claim you can learn the program using videos which are available on YouTube and on their site. But those have no way of searching for particular issues that you may need help with.

Also, SmartShow has no way of saving your favorite collages, effects, and titles. Movavi (another popular slideshow app) has that feature, and is very helpful. Speaking of "favorites", SmartShow has no way of saving as a favorite the folder from which you open or save a show, and that's a drawback.

Overall, I like SmartShow a lot and am very happy with the purchase. I strongly recommend it as a reasonably affordable slideshow making program.

I enjoy creating PowerPoint presentations on various topics, including global conflicts, motivational themes, and communication strategies. I also like incorporating video clips of nature and many other subjects. This tool is amazing and is exactly what I have been looking for a long time. I have completed about nine projects with great pleasure. However, I still have a lot to learn about this fantastic, professional tool. Thank you!

Looking for a replacement for Proshow Producer I wanted a program to pay for, not a regular subscription. After much research I bought SmartSHOW 3D and am delighted with its functionality and value.

New and beyond ordinary slideshow applications. However, most of the effects are similar to each other rather than variation. The application itself is easy to maneuver and easily to learn.

I just created several DVDs for my two children; I would guess they both had around 600 separate photos. Although it was a lot of work., it was very pleasant how easy the program made it.

I used Pro Show for years until it became a subscription product. I am new to SmartSHOW 3D and am enjoying the experience. I love the Animated Maps and template offerings. The program caters for panoramas, videos and images of all shapes and sizes and there is a great selection of transitions. The interface and supporting tutorials make it quite easy to put together an eye-catching presentation.
